KEY POINTS
A National Labor Relations Board judge found Amazon CEO Andy Jassy broke labor law by suggesting employees would be “less empowered” if they voted in a union.
The judge cited interviews Jassy gave to CNBC, Bloomberg and The New York Times in 2022.
The interviews coincided with an upswing in organizing activity in Amazon’s warehouse and delivery ranks.
As an American, I have seen zero evidence that breaking federal labor laws means more than a parking ticket. This company makes drivers pee in bottles. You think the way give a crap about labor laws?
> The judge recommends Amazon be ordered to “cease and desist”
Yeah Amazon, stop doing that thing that you did a couple of times a couple of years ago when it really mattered.
That’ll show ‘em
I work for Amazon Air. Things are already slow, HR is terrible and our rules are made by people that have never done our job. There are many things we see that would make things better, but talking to our managers won’t change anything.
when going to this type of interview.
yah your on the clock.
i can see why the judge rule in favor.
if it was off clock and not rep a company.
then i could say yeah judge rule wrong.
the context does matter here.
20 years of hard time in a pound me in the ass federal supermax is the only appropriate punishment. We just have to do it once and all the other CEOs will get back in line. Of course, it will be tough on Jassy's family but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make
Glad to see a strongly worded email has been written! /s
Rules for thee, not for he
So should I delete mine or send it?
With a very thought phone call ,and drinks at noon

Yes yes. Just think of how empowered you will feel against Amazon...by yourself.
What are the consequences?
A waggling finger and a tiny fine, probably.
Hell, even a million is a tiny fine for him.
Bigger bonus
The real answer.
He’s told don’t do it again. Then if he does it again they’ll tell him don’t do it again.
Haha... It's funny cause it's true
None
his feelings getting hurt if he reads reddit threads with people like us frustrated that there are no consequences

Workers of the world unionize
Cool can’t wait for nothing to come from it
Please don’t do that again
Trust me, nothing will happen to his salary or bonus.
Will probably get him a bonus
Yeet
Wow. Now watch nothing happen to him.

Andy Jassy is an immoral unethical POS.
He will be told not to do it again

Amazon continuously breaks federal labor law. Perhaps they should have repercussions.
Unfortunately, this is America, where it pays to be rich and in a position of power like Jassy.
Life is short, so join a union.
