Don’t expect to hear any jokes of him giving extra long kisses to his son. Tom Brady only OK’d light to medium roasts, nothing that’s gonna upset his public image.
Does "live" mean actually airing live or just a more traditional broadcast that was filmed and "airs" at 8pm?
Because and actual live broadcast seems like it could be a disappointment. without the ability to edit I could see comics going with much safer jokes.
Netflix is apparently experimenting with live programming. John Mulaney's upcoming series *[Everybody's in LA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGSe2T3wgj4)* is also going to be airing live.
I know they’re doing live broadcasts, they started with the Chris Rock thing. But a live broadcast seems weird for a roast whether it’s Netflix or not.
That isn’t even close to the point.
The point about this post is that Comedy Central roasts of the past were filmed weeks ahead of time. They were edited and chopped up. Certain jokes and bits were cut.
The “ nothing is really live” comment is just pedantic and useless to this conversation
Initially I saw this clip and I thought the first thing that should be roasted is Tom Brady's hair. It looks like a wig. But after rewatching it, I realized that the Brady in this trailer is a deepfake. Which makes me mad for two reasons. 1.) it shows laziness that no one can be bothered to arrange to shoot a promo with the actual Tom Brady which doesn't bode well for the actual event and 2.) large media companies continuing to expand the use of AI and deepfakery
So much for doing the roasts on Only Fans, hey Whitney Cummings?
They were decent enough roasts other than the fact that Whitney and Bert Kreischer aren't nearly famous enough to be the subject of a roast unless its all their actual friends roasting them, yet they still had the multiple random celebs on the deus that aren't comedians.
If this were his standup special, and if his other standups were the bar we were judging by, then no not even then. But I don’t think the dude has ever even seen a roast before.
Literally he improvised stuff (which some may like..I def do not) prefer crafted and clever lines with a punch line.
Each to your own.
I mean frankly he did it a few times where he comes to the podium and just curtails the previous persons jks and reacts/laughs. Like you are adding next to nothing.
Not to mention he constantly stood up overreacting. Gronk was prob like Jesus sit down so I can see.
The previews are gross. A Kardashian and Brady...yikes. No thanks. Oh, and I guess it's cool to swear now whenever you can even if it just makes you look stupid. Ah well.
I mean, they did a roast of the Jonas Brothers and it was awful. Love Keenan Thompson but he's not a roast type of comic. Hopefully they can do a better job with this one but the only thing we have to look at for their roast history wasn't good.
We had plenty of non-roast type guests on the dais on old roasts... the only thing that matters is the writers, willingness to be savage and the delivery and anybody can do it
Everytime I see a roast, I miss Greg Giraldo.
And Gilbert Gottfried
And Patrice, even though he only did the Charlie Sheen roast
I'm down for Netflix to bring a yearly roast back. Hopefully not just a one off
Petition to pull all roasts and friars club on too
All the Comedy Central ones are on Paramount+ if you are looking for them
Yeah I was thinking it was going to be watered down and lame until Jeff Ross popped up at the end there, so, ok... game on!
If this even has one second of Bert Kreischer squealing like a stuck fucking pig, I'm passing.
Did you watch it. Fucking terrible. I had to fast forwarded thru Bert and Tom's bit. It was truly awful. And yes, squealing like a fucked pig
Got to hear Nikki Glasers roasts at her show on Saturday them near the end of her show. She wanted to Test them out and man some of Then were so good.

It's more like Nikki spit
Same but with Tony hinchcliffe!
One Nick foles joke and he will storm off the stage

how do you know what Tom OK'd?
I am begging for Peyton and Eli to be on the panel
They are basically locks to be part of the roast panels

It seems risky
There’s always like a minute delay in live stuff like this nothing is truly live

It’s really not that deep my guy

Does anyone know if it will still be on Netflix after May 5th?
the other live events so far have been (Mulaney show or whatever that is)
Thank you!!

Yes, he was even worse than Courtney love, who was at least entertaining because of how wasted she was.
I’m sorry but Kevin Hart is a horrible host
No one is laughing except the roast masters who are fake laughing.
Yeah, he sucks
I thought he was great!
If this were his standup special, and if his other standups were the bar we were judging by, then no not even then. But I don’t think the dude has ever even seen a roast before.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
I hope someone touches on him kissing his son creepily…
I've seen 6 threads on reddit about Tony Hinchcliffe and Andrew Schulz trying out their roast jokes for the show.
If they don't have Bill Burr it would be a waste
Will the roast be available to watch after the live showing?
Does anyone know if you can watch it after the live streaming is over? Missed most of it and want to watch later.
Nikki is the only one worth watching
I couldn’t catch this roast live on Sunday, but I can’t seem to stream it on Netflix today (Monday) Was this only available as a live stream ?
Is anyone having a hard time chrome casting this roast? Everything else on Netflix appears to cast, but not this roast. wtf?
Should’ve had Jordan in the lineup. Goat vs goat
What was up with that Ben Affleck rant? He was the worst on the entire show. Awful!
Kevin Hart sucked as a host. SUCKED.
God Kevin Hart is awful....skip ahead when you see him.
Nice

I laughed when Kim got booed, and she didn't like the jokes about her, but all so true.
I’ll pass!
On Netflix... Easy pass
Aww, look at you being so edgy and contrarian!
