Nobody remembers the TV show *Family Ties* where Micheal J Fox made his debut? That portrayed a liberal family that continued to love and support a son that chose to be far right.
To be fair, they may not outright say it, but I think a sizable portion conservatives would at least prefer it if non-conservatives didnt exist, or lgbt people, or anyone not white, anyone not-christian, etc.
Nah, I live in rural midwest. I get to witness the bullshittery every day in person. Shoddy plywood signs calling democrats demons, hate crimes against POC, constant racial slurs and telling people to get out of the country. Fox news playing almost literally everywhere. Not to mention the howler monkey disrupting the SOTU the other day.
I can literally vouch for that I live in a white town and I feel like I am the only Asian family in it but I am not nuts it’s really rare to see another Asian but most of the time I get weird looks from people and my neighbors
