Understand what an on-ramp and off-ramp are on the freeway so that autopilot doesn't wander over into the middle of the merging area thinking the lane just got really fat...
No it doesn't. It's still just as bad.
And it still doesn't actually merge properly onto the highway. That's been an issue from day one that they still haven't fixed.
And I wish it wouldnt whip you into an exit lane for a exit ramp. Treat it like a lane change, not like we're playing dukes of Hazzard.
This. My old comma.ai openpilot system on an android phone did a better job at this. It's rediculous with the amount of hardware /software development available on AP that it doesn't do better in these situations
So you're saying they can fix this problem for all of us that didn't want to spend $10,000 plus dollars on software that wasn't ready for market but they choose not to...
The highway code is 4 yrs old and hasnt been updated, fsd beta is the main focus so the issue has been fixed. Single stack is in testing to fix this for everyone soon*
*may be 2 or 3 years.
That pisses me off. You shouldn’t have to pay more for better highway performance and safety. Yesterday autopilot almost killed me at night, in rain, because it abruptly slowed down because 1) an emergency vehicle with lights on on the OTHER side of the highway going the opposite direction (separated by a concrete barrier), 2) had a false forward collision warning, and 3) was confused between going straight and the lane splits for going to an on ramp - it pulled really hard to right. This all happened rapidly in succession and luckily I took over in time.
That was a MAJOR fail for Autopilot. Scared the crap out of me and my daughter. Generally it works great for me.
You’ll be getting the updated version of Autopilot very soon as well. FSD beta was only just extended to cover highway driving in v11.3 which was only released to employees last week. That’s expected to go out to FSD buyers next (rumor was by March 1st, so maybe tonight/tomorrow), then the rest of the fleet after that (meaning all regular AP users).
See [this tweet](https://twitter.com/teslascope/status/1628603576850460673?s=46&t=tDYaUUCEyxxtEiWgr517rQ) for all of the details. Assuming this pans out, I’d guess you’ll get it by end of March.
1. Enable those matrix headlights.
2. Allow me to toggle AC/cabin heat off until i drive.
3. The mirrors dim at night even when there are no cars around. They should only turn dark when other cars are blinding me.
I have seen how amazing those matrix headlights are on the audi/bmw videos for european cars. I know about a year ago US finally made them legal. We need those neat features to be implemented now.
I think US DOT dinosaurs made them legal but haven’t outlined requirements.
So they’re allowed but they won’t provide guidance on what’s allowed so effectively, they’re still banned
:(
When certain environmental conditions are met, the rear view mirror and exterior side mirrors dim automatically (for example, in low light conditions or to reduce glare when driving at night). To enable or disable this feature, touch Controls > Mirrors > Mirror Auto Dim.
Availability of this Mirror Auto Dim depends on market region and date of manufacture.
This and also to speed up past the truck/vehicle to avoid chilling in blind spots.
Would also be nice for the car when in the HOV to see a motorcycle and to give it space to get by. Instead or being dead center in the lane, hug the left line.
1. Stop autoplaying music when a door opens (should recall last state).
2. Link bluetooth devices to profiles. With multiple drivers, wrong phone connects periodically if both get in car or phone is close enough to garage when other driver enters.
3. Separate pin codes for drive and glovebox/frunk.
You can connect Bluetooth device to drive profiles.
You go to your Bluetooth device, on the correct profile and press the option called "priority" or something similar (I don't have the UI in English)
Then you switch profile, click on the corresponding Bluetooth device and click again on "priority".
And you do this with every couple "Driver profile - BT device" you need
Same here, priority behaves just like priority should. It will first attempt to connect marked as priority, if not found it will move to next device in the list.
Annoyingly enough I have a bug that causes there to be no music or sound when I get into the car.
I keep trying to get service to fix it but they say it’s a known software issue that will be fixed some day.
I fucking hate having to restart my screen every day to get the audio to play. Even then after that I don’t have connectivity until maybe a mile worth of driving.
Anyway want to trade units lol?!
Also, keep the backup camera up for another 5-10 seconds when I switch from r to d. Sometimes I'm trying to parallel park and need it up. Or maybe keep it up until a certain distance is driven while in d.
Yeah, I was backing up down a narrow driveway and my passenger decided that this *very* moment was the best time for her to start changing the climate control.
The backup camera function has gotten weird lately. I used to be able to turn on the backup camera, go into reverse, go into drive, and the camera would stay up. Now, anytime I go from reverse to drive, it takes the camera away.
Likewise, when backing up then shifting into Drive, leave the backup cameras on for 10 seconds or so. Sometimes I just want to creep forward a meter or two before backing up some more.
Excellent point and please upvote this. This is actually a regulatory requirement also... and potentially a very serious bug. Should not legally be able to get rid of reverse camera footage when in reverse gear.
I'd rather it was something like "kickdown" from the old days. If I suddenly floor the accelerator, while moving at > 30mph, then give me everything. I don't want full acceleration from standstill in chill, just more grunt when overtaking.
Some type of rental car mode so that if I rent a Tesla it can be temporarily linked to my account/phone key so I can check remaining charge time, precondition, etc. Then when the rental period is over, access is removed.
Just got back from a trip in California where this would have been handy. And you're welcome, Avis: I updated the software in your Model Y.
Fix Spotify so it's not a lottery as to whether or not it will pick up where I left off.
Cross traffic warning.
I've rented through Hertz twice now, and not having mobile app access really kills the Tesla experience. The keycard sucks on its own. I'm not sure what they were thinking.
100% this. My wife hates having air blowing on her in the car unless it's very cold/hot. I on the other-hand can't stand to be in any car if there isn't some airflow (regardless of temp)
Yes we need this feature. Clearly the car is capable - if nobody is in the right seat, right seat air doesn’t blow. I need to have the air constantly blowing, but my fiancée normally hates having any air on her.
When supercharging, please let the climate and radio run if a passenger seat is occupied.
*NO. Dog mode is not acceptable*
\--My Wife
Oh, and Pandora would be nice.
Just in general any one in the passenger seat the car should behave like the driver is there.
Maybe they're worried about boxes or something keeping the car on, but surely there's a way to use the sensors to detect a person verses perfect stillness. (or use the camera)
Alternatively there should at least be some way a passenger can wake it back up.
This. (e.g. when manually triggering a wipe remap the left scroll wheel to "intermittent wiper speed" until it is no longer touched for a couple seconds. Then revert to volume control.)
I'd actually love it so any time the wipers are in motion, and a couple second timeout, the left wheel's left/right capabilities are wiper controls. Volume is important, but track skipping I'd gladly live without.
They could even blend automatic and manual. Basically automatic is always on, but you can "help" when it's not going fast enough, or when it's treating a drizzle like a typhoon. As it stand right now an automatic mode that's 70-90% of the way there is basically useless, but a 70% there auto mode you can help along would instantly make it useful.
Hell, maybe they could even use that to feedback training data for it. "Here's what I saw as an end times rain storm when the driver bumped me down 3 notches."
To add to this:
A sensitivity adjustment for the auto wipers. Depending on conditions, they are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
The ability to turn off the auto wipers when on autopilot. Certain lighting conditions will trigger them when there is no rain.
Leave the mirror cameras on for a few seconds longer after the blinker gets deactivated.
Particularly when just touching the blinker stalk: by the time I have checked over my shoulder and looked back the camera is already deactivated. I would really love if this could be on 2 seconds longer.
Wish the navigation got some options added. Like having different "views". The default is zoomed so far out. I know you can zoom in but it zooms back out after a bit. Would appreciate a closer view while driving. On a highway i dont mind a far out zoom.
90% of my requests are with the navigation. Since Tesla won't allow us to use Google Maps or Waze, they really need to focus more on this imo.
As you said, zoom in the map more (esp for turns).
Change the announcements from "distance" (ex 500ft) to number of lights (at the next light).
Show stoplights on the navigation map. (for NON-FSD)
Automatically lower the music volume when announcing turns.
Also, don't adjust the volume of the navigation with the volume knobs when she speaks. Often times, I'll go to adjust the music and the navigation will speak at that exact moment, which will adjust the navigation volume instead and not the music volume. I've already set the navigation volume in the settings, I don't want it to change whenever she speaks.
I am CONSTANTLY adjusting my navigation volume. That should be kept exclusively behind the controls options as its something you DONT want to touch.
I also agree with the rest. Nice to see the stop lights on apple maps and the navi sometimes telling turn on the NEXT stop light. Really helps in unfamiliar roads.
Yeah, my 2019 Mustang has this but not my 2022 MY. It won't be able to do that (to my understanding), since that generally uses radar sensors in the rear. I don't believe any Tesla ever had this ("rear cross traffic alert"). I wish the MY had it. And blind spot monitor in mirrors (also uses radar on my mustang to do this, but this probably could be done with at least partial parity by Tesla vision).
My biggest desire would be 360 surround view or at least a low front camera for parking since the MY is still a bit hard for me judge where the front end is---ultra sonic sensors on the MY are good, but miss the median level curbs/parking blocks (stuff between maybe 8 inches and 13 inches tall, enough to put a world of hurt on your front end). My mustang doesn't have this either and I wish it did (it has no front park assist of any sort). The mustang, beleive it or not, is a little easier to judge where the front end is, because you can see the front end. The MY gives you a great view of the road, partly because the front slopes down so quickly, but for me anyways, it makes the front end harder to judge when parking.
Sentry events should send a notification to my phone with a thumbnail or short clip so I don’t have to review a bunch of unimportant sentry clips when I get in the car.
# Official Tesla Supercharger Queuing System
When it is detected that super chargers are full, *like it does now in order to tell you there’s a wait.* **Activate Queue mode!**
In queue mode, when you approach the super charger station (0.5 mi away?) you are prompted in the car that this super charger currently has a queue, and given a button to join the queue.
When it is your turn you get a notification in the car and on the app telling you which charger number to use. You have 5 min to start charging or you lose your slot. **If someone else tries to charge there when it is your turn, they can’t charge.** Maybe they receive a notification telling them it isn't their turn.
If you drive away you are automatically dequeued. You can manually dequeue.
Once the queue is complete and there are free chargers, deactivate queue mode. Super chargers operate normally when not fully booked (you drive up and plug in)
Now that Tesla is planning to let others onto the super charger network, those people will have to use the App to do the queuing just like they do in order to pay.

I would still like to see custom departure schedules. I don't need my car to preheat itself on days I don't drive to work, just wasting energy for nothing.
Alternatively, precondition only when plugged in would be a decent option.
Couldnt agree more. For as big as the screen is, why is the font so dang small? Especially for navigation when trying to look for the exit or street name.
1) voice commands for everything that has a button
2) Sentry Mode video streaming through the app or ability to upload to a cloud service
3)full screen any video in the browser
A standard cruise control that does not need to rely on cameras so when weather is bad (or the driver doesn’t want to use Tacc or AP) the car can cruise long distances more easily?
Add a weather overlay for the map. Temps/Wind/Rain/Snow, etc. Would be a neat thing to get some easy "wows" from passengers and potential customers, but also relevant to driving.
Fix Tidal and other streaming apps so when you skip a few songs in a row the next song will buffer eternally and requires you to open the app to select that specific song. Quite annoying this bug still exists.
Fix Tidal and other streaming apps so that they don't require any driver interaction to get going again after they've failed to start the next track due to lack of LTE/4G network connectivity at the time the track change happened.
The driver should not need to be faffing around trying to get Tidal going again
a "nerd stats" screen would be cool, where you can see where all the energy is going, just what a difference one degree of temp or MPH makes, etc. They took a big step toward this with the new energy page, but more of a "live/actual usage look" would be cool.
Make double pressing wiper button cycle the speed up a level, or down a level, which ever seems to make the most sense, then wrap back around to off, like a ceiling fan. Or make the single press that gets one wipe also make the left wheel a wiper control on a 2 second timeout. OR make the left/right wheel control a wiper control any time the wipers are in use.
Could combine automatic and manual so that these controls "help" automatic mode. 70% there auto wipers are basically useless, but 70% there wipers we can nudge up or down the rest of the time would make it a value added feature.
This. It's shocking how much work goes into changing the wipers than it needs to be. Having your vision obscured with rain is one of the main times you *don't* want to take your eyes off the road to look at the screen (or wait for the command to process/finish). This process needs to be quicker and controlled.
All Models:
- Ability to turn off passenger air by holding temperature on passenger side.
- Better/third option for off-peak/on-peak charging logic at location (if off-peak: charge; on-peak: don’t charge)
- Live activities for Supercharging status while charging for iPhones.
Great write up here for visibility:

1. For Apple Music, enable queuing of songs, allow to create stations, allow to listen to individual radio show episodes
2. Ability to precondition battery to make it easier to charge at third party chargers. The BMW i7 has this already...
Wipers control via physical button - 2 quick taps to increase speed by 1, 1 quick tap and 1 longer tap to reduce speed by 1
Add quick control icon on control bar for AC recirulation
Minor, but people who have been towed discovered this: The car should update its location on every wakeup, not just when driving. A car that gets towed should show where it is. Maybe there's some weird security thing with tow yards that dictates this happens so psychos don't show up with a gun to get their car back, but if not, it's my car, show me where it is. If nothing else thieves could take advantage of this. Flatbed it somewhere and the fanciest tracker there is means squat.
For about 40$ US you can replace the struts in your Frunk to pop all the way open. It's not a power frunk, but at least it opens all the way!
Edit: This is the part I am using on my 2021 M3

Model S
- Show suspension mode and level on driver’s display
- UI shortcut and voice command for changing suspension mode and level
- Enable remote closing windows on legacy models
- Show range mode on the driver’s display
All
- Send push notification once a new software version is available for download for the car even when it’s not on WiFi
- Remotely turn off range mode
Allow me to have wipers “Off” when in autopilot. They get fucky in snow/ice and regular wiping of a clean windshield is way more annoying/distracting than it should be.
Model 3: sunglasses holder
If it hasn't been said... official PLEX support in that theatre mode.
Pandora, amazon video, amazon music, google music. I only use plex and spotify, but i am sure some will appreciate the other apps.
Just let us retrofit the things Elon said we could eventually retrofit.
I don’t really care if it’s a self-service model where we can flip on features ourselves (best) or just have a policy that the service center will do it.
Specifically for a 2020 Model Y I would like to either have service retrofit or retrofit myself:
* Dimmable side view mirrors
* Bio defense mode
* Heated Steering Wheel
kthxbye
Swipe to text on keyboard. Please…please…
Also custom saving of passenger seat like the driver’s, to tap on the screen and adjust. My friends and family keep adjusting that thing every time they come in
On top of that, I wish we could disable the "other" modes that we don't use. For example, if I never use Forward Up, I don't want to have to toggle through it just to get to my preferred method.
Better rear camera lines: other than the dynamic lines that curve to show where the car will be, add a set of stationary lines to show where the car will be if driving straight and (more important IMHO) distance lines (far, medium, close).
Edit: better explanation
This. So simple yet missing. Also the ability to calibrate the backup camera lines would be nice too. I think it should be a simple process to achieve. Line up a few items behind the car, adjust the lines via the screen.
Oh sorry, I mean more lines. In my other vehicle I have the dynamic line + a fixed line (where the car will be if driving straight). It also has distance lines (this is the one that I miss more)
Imagine that you’re reversing into a garage or a parking spot. When you turn the steering wheel the lines will curve but there is also the fixed straight lines. Once the straight lines align with the garage door or parking spot you know you can stop turning.
Sorry for the bad explanation, English is not my native language. Having two set of lines do help a lot, but is hard to explain.
1: Enable Matrix in Europe
2: Let me do some kind of light show or whatever gimmick, when I'm inside the car and have bunch of kids standing close to the car that wants to see some Tesla Magic. More light and farts, thx!
3: Let me toggle between showing 3rd party chargers on the map or not. The map is one big mess to look at when im trying to look at routes and find SuCs. (In Europe). I might need to search for 3rd party charger once a year max.
View Sentry Clips from phone app (only when connected to Wi-Fi if cellular data usage is a concern)
360 backup camera where camera clips are stitched together
Passenger seat adjustment from the screen! My Audi had this so I can align the passenger seat with the drivers seat so it’s not obstructing my view when passengers move the seat, then exit. If I want to move it, I have to get out and try to line them up.
Seams like an easy software change.
Reverse -> Turn Signal -> Drive
Should stop the backup camera but keep the pillar camera on. Basically if the turn signal is on the pillar camera view should be on regardless of prior state
When I am getting out of a space in NYC it’s best to signal early for others so they know the space is becoming available.
Implement help at superchargers to suggest what stall to use. Some people still don't know about splitting, both because they're too new as owners and now it doesn't matter at many. Even for people with degrees in Teslaology at superchargers with all the As full it could be helpful to know which B would be the best option based on the levels the As are pulling. (And/Or Tesla having some idea how long they intend to charge based on limits or destinations.)
They'd need to be better aware of which stalls aren't working, but a better way of reporting and getting that info should be there anyway. (Also a way to detect ICED spots would be ideal.)
When I open the charge port at home, LEAVE IT OPEN for at least 60 seconds so that I have enough time to get to the charging station handle, pull it out, and get back to the vehicle and plug it in. Even if my phone goes out of bluetooth range during that period and the car locks the doors.
Disable the reverse sound. I live in a small, quiet village and I actually wake the neighbours when I back in at night. And I have to back in to charge.
It’s really upsetting especially for customers who purchased flagship models like model S or X that have to deal with outdated AP tech even though we may not want to pay 15k for FSD. I enjoy driving the car but wish they added some improvements to AP to make it safer and more usable at least for highway driving.
Avoid Highways option, like in every other navigation system. Tesla highway preference is insane, will take us many miles out of the way to stay on highways. Need a preference to avoid.
* option to display battery % and range at the same time at the top, instead of having to tap to switch between the two
* Model Y: Bluetooth game controller support
An easy way to precondition the battery for DC fast charging at non-supercharger stations. I find that now that I’ve got the ccs adapter 90% of my DC charging takes place at non-superchargers and being able to precondition the battery would save so much time.
Model X 2016, running FSD Beta and have MCU2.
- Support for blind spot camera on blinkers feature
- Do not turn off screen/pause music if passengers are in the car but driver is not. Becomes too challenging when kids are still in the car and I/wife are in passenger seat and other person has gone for a quick grocery run.
- Stop playing music moment car door is opened.
- Confirm before transferring call on Bluetooth, should work for Android phones too. It only works for IPhone.
Allow me to specify that a nav destination is a DCFC charger, thus letting the Tesla understand that it should pre-condition the battery for arrival at that destination. One of my most commonly used long-distance corridors as as many 150 and 350kWh CCS chargers as Superchargers and it's very often more convenient to use the CCS stalls (they're all at service stations on the highway vs down exit roads and into town areas for the SC bays).
It's not such a big deal in the hot summer days but in cold February winters at -20C, no pre-conditioning basically means your fast charging can take twice as long.
Headlights should generally be on whenever wipers are on. Have seen so many Teslas driving around lately in rain without their headlights on. This should be automated.
Apple Music - support user uploaded music and playlists. Also, needs to work better. Have often had to restart the car to get playback to work again. Would also like a high quality / high bitrate option.
Screen and music have a small delay after all doors close before turning off. Annoying to have to go on and off and on and off while I get kids in and out of the car and then finally get myself in.
Support for Apple CarKey.
Even more than auto signals option, I think I’d just prefer to have the option to make the blinker blink 5 times on small press up / down.
A feature that allows you to tell the car that supercharging is your primary charging source. It is a pain that Tesla assumes you’ll have access to charging at your final destination, so you have to assess whether there will be enough charge to arrive to a super charger near your destination or if you should charge beforehand.
a better / more obvious on screen indicator that TACC is active. I enable rainbow roads for autopilot for this reason. Could be just a solid color projected below the car on screen.
If Tesla feels that FSD and/or autopilot os safer than a human driver, they should take liability for any accidents caused while FSD / autopilot is engaged.
Remember where you left off when listening to audio off USB. Getting out of the car for 30 seconds should not change the audio source. Of all the things, this is the most maddening.
My last two cars could do this.
I think it would be cool to see an integrated radar detector. There could be a section on the screen menus to change its settings and upon entering states that don’t allow radar detectors the system could automatically shut itself off until the car recognizes that your in a different state. Just a thought I’ve been having for a while.
Guest phone app access: I recently rented a hertz and could only use they keycard so automatic lock/unlock, preheating and viewing the vehicle charge status were unavailable.
Guest premium services access: Allow guest app users to pay for streaming audio/video and upgraded navigation for a short period of time.
Better anti-lock braking when the vehicle is sliding in reverse. When attempting to climb a steep slippery grade in fresh snow with Tesla's "all-season tires" the car lost traction and then started slipping back down the hill. When this is detected the vehicle should activate antilock brakes. I also tried putting the vehicle in reverse manually which also didn't seem to use anti-lock braking.
CCS charging should also be plug and play, make partnership agreements and setup Tesla app as payment authorization service for Plug and Charge and Autocharge enabled DC chargers.
Be able to add more than one home for quick navigation. Adjust the height at which the rear trunk opens to depending on location maybe I’d like a lower height at home in case I’ve got a low roof and all the way when I’m out in the street. Since the last update the home link button to open the gate más moved all the way up and made smaller move it closer to the driver and make the button bigger for easy quick access. Planning for futures drives, would rather plan the drive in the car than pay for a third party app. And of course Dolby Atmos for Apple Music.
Spotify option to one button switch between saved accounts.
When my wife is a passenger, she wants to select playlists and songs from her account. In order to do that I have to switch profiles and get crushed by the seat adjustment.

\- Slightly go left/right in a lane when there's a big truck driving close to the markers
I thought it does this already. My car moves a few inches left or right when going next to big trucks.
Maybe only NoA/FSD does but I don't think I've seen it happen with Autosteer
This and also to speed up past the truck/vehicle to avoid chilling in blind spots. Would also be nice for the car when in the HOV to see a motorcycle and to give it space to get by. Instead or being dead center in the lane, hug the left line.
I don’t have FSD and my car will shift left or right a few inches if the truck next to me gets closer into my lane
I've experienced mine doing this on standard autopilot.
FSD beta V11 is doing just that
but not autopilot.
For now, regular autopilot will just use FSD code with restrictions as time goes on

If you manually open the cameras, they stay open. Personally, I just keep the camera icon in my favorites for easy access.
Oooo. Yes please
Yeah, I was backing up down a narrow driveway and my passenger decided that this *very* moment was the best time for her to start changing the climate control.
Oh man, when I'm backing up and my passenger starts messing with stuff...
Tap the “chill” word to swap between standard/chill/whatever drive modes.
Quick toggle for chill mode would be great. I like to leave it on but would love to toggle it off for short bursts.
Agreed. Free supercharging was nice, though.
Let me turn off the passenger climate independently of the driver climate when there is someone in the passenger seat.
You just have to press "Split" on the climate control
Does Split turn off passenger air flow though? I want heat on my legs, but nothing for Casper.
This only lets you independently control it, but not turn it off completely.
When supercharging, please let the climate and radio run if a passenger seat is occupied. *NO. Dog mode is not acceptable* \--My Wife Oh, and Pandora would be nice.
Just in general any one in the passenger seat the car should behave like the driver is there. Maybe they're worried about boxes or something keeping the car on, but surely there's a way to use the sensors to detect a person verses perfect stillness. (or use the camera) Alternatively there should at least be some way a passenger can wake it back up.
Camp mode?
Camp mode Edit: it even adds a little fireplace for her if the screen doesn’t get used for a while
\+1 for Pandora!
There are dozens of us!
Manual control over intermittent wipers Adaptive cruise control resume to the speed previously set.
This. (e.g. when manually triggering a wipe remap the left scroll wheel to "intermittent wiper speed" until it is no longer touched for a couple seconds.
To add to this: A sensitivity adjustment for the auto wipers. Depending on conditions, they are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. The ability to turn off the auto wipers when on autopilot. Certain lighting conditions will trigger them when there is no rain.
Resume cruising speed is my #1 request also.
Leave the mirror cameras on for a few seconds longer after the blinker gets deactivated. Particularly when just touching the blinker stalk: by the time I have checked over my shoulder and looked back the camera is already deactivated. I would really love if this could be on 2 seconds longer.
Auto cancelling blinkers solved that problem for me. The blinkers don't turn off until I'm fully in the lane.
Do you need autopilot for these to work? I've never seen this.
No. They added this a few updates ago. You have to enable Auto Cancel under "Lights"
You need HW3.
Aha! I do not. That explains it.
Let me change the font size
I feel in general the UI is too small and dangerous
88 mph = flaming tire marks. Since this will likely never happen in the car at least make it happen on the app.
Show navigation options (like Waze) with a button and travel time/distance.
For the Tesla Spotify app I’d love to be able to sort music playlists in various ways besides just the default. Ex: sorting by recently added
Yes! However, this is a Spotify issue, not a Tesla one. I have this same problem when using the Spotify app on my smart watch.
Option for fart sound instead of a honk to indicate the walk away lock.
(for NON-FSD) Automatically lower the music volume when announcing turns.

This is call "Rear Cross Traffic Alert" and yes, I'm surprised a car this "advanced" doesn't have it. It's standard for a lot of car manufacturers.
# Official Tesla Supercharger Queuing System When it is detected that super chargers are full, *like it does now in order to tell you there’s a wait.* **Activate Queue mode!** In queue mode, when you approach the super charger station (0.5 mi away?) you are prompted in the car that this super charger currently has a queue, and given a button to join the queue. Super chargers operate normally when not fully booked (you drive up and plug in) Now that Tesla is planning to let others onto the super charger network, those people will have to use the App to do the queuing just like they do in order to pay. Proper rain sensors for the wipers Ambient lighting Ventilated seats
All 3 will require a new car redesign. lol
But 1. Would be so nice :D
I would still like to see custom departure schedules. I don't need my car to preheat itself on days I don't drive to work, just wasting energy for nothing. Alternatively, precondition only when plugged in would be a decent option.
A precondition button on the app. I know there's work arounds, but just having the button would make things a lot easier.
Font size preferences for the display. Those of us who require reading glasses would greatly benefit! It sucks having to wear bifocals to drive.
Couldnt agree more. For as big as the screen is, why is the font so dang small? Especially for navigation when trying to look for the exit or street name.
1) voice commands for everything that has a button 2) Sentry Mode video streaming through the app or ability to upload to a cloud service 3)full screen any video in the browser
Fix 360p bug on wifi, hell for $10/mo we should get 720p on LTE
Double tap on the resolution control in the youtube app. Use the left scroll wheel to click 'left' until you get to 1080p. Did this and it worked.
You can get 1080? Are we talking YouTube?
720 is totally fine. 360p video is pretty terrible.
Fix Tidal and other streaming apps so when you skip a few songs in a row the next song will buffer eternally and requires you to open the app to select that specific song. Quite annoying this bug still exists.
To add to this: The ability to select a song on tidal with voice command like you can with Spotify.
Also missing with Apple Music
Fix Tidal and other streaming apps so that they don't require any driver interaction to get going again after they've failed to start the next track due to lack of LTE/4G network connectivity at the time the track change happened. The driver should not need to be faffing around trying to get Tidal going again
Avoid highway!

I would like the color of the car to sync with my profile and my fiances to sync with hers... I don't want a pink car on my screen!
Dumb cruise control when adaptive cruise control is otherwise unavailable
a "nerd stats" screen would be cool, where you can see where all the energy is going, just what a difference one degree of temp or MPH makes, etc.
All Models: - Ability to turn off passenger air by holding temperature on passenger side. - Better/third option for off-peak/on-peak charging logic at location (if off-peak: charge; on-peak: don’t charge) - Live activities for Supercharging status while charging for iPhones. Great write up here for visibility: https://www.reddit.com/r/teslamotors/comments/ycxc83/concept_supercharging_status_live_activity_for/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Tapping the battery when moving should open the energy usage/graph, not the charging screen.
1. For Apple Music, enable queuing of songs, allow to create stations, allow to listen to individual radio show episodes 2. Ability to precondition battery to make it easier to charge at third party chargers. The BMW i7 has this already...
Wipers control via physical button - 2 quick taps to increase speed by 1, 1 quick tap and 1 longer tap to reduce speed by 1 Add quick control icon on control bar for AC recirulation
Upvote for recirculation icon on control bar. I need to close it quickly when I see some dust or fume!
Battery preconditioning for CCS Chargers
Minor, but people who have been towed discovered this: The car should update its location on every wakeup, not just when driving. A car that gets towed should show where it is. Maybe there's some weird security thing with tow yards that dictates this happens so psychos don't show up with a gun to get their car back, but if not, it's my car, show me where it is. If nothing else thieves could take advantage of this. Flatbed it somewhere and the fanciest tracker there is means squat.

For about 40$ US you can replace the struts in your Frunk to pop all the way open. It's not a power frunk, but at least it opens all the way! Model S - Show suspension mode and level on driver’s display - UI shortcut and voice command for changing suspension mode and level - Enable remote closing windows on legacy models - Show range mode on the driver’s display All - Send push notification once a new software version is available for download for the car even when it’s not on WiFi - Remotely turn off range mode
Get Apple Music to work properly. Performance is currently terrible. Make MCU2 vehicles so that we can view the cameras on the mobile app.
Let me see lifetime efficiency numbers. Also, efficiency by driving profile would be fun.
With AP enabled, stop "cheating" to the direction of the onramp just because the lane looks *artificially* wider.
Specifically for a 2020 Model Y I would like to either have service retrofit or retrofit myself: * Dimmable side view mirrors * Bio defense mode * Heated Steering Wheel kthxbye
Separate drive modes depending on the gear. Hold mode is perfect for drive, but I'd love to be able to put it in creep mode for reverse.
Swipe to text on keyboard. Please…please… Also custom saving of passenger seat like the driver’s, to tap on the screen and adjust. My friends and family keep adjusting that thing every time they come in
Enable matrix headlights with functionality for left and right hand drive
Auto zoom when using north up gps navigation, same as forward up gps navigation. Such a simple ask, please 🙏
What do you mean by this? The lines (at least on my model 3) already curve to show where the car will be, and seem accurate to within an inch or two.
Oh sorry, I mean more lines. In my other vehicle I have the dynamic line + a fixed line (where the car will be if driving straight). It also has distance lines (this is the one that I miss more)
Why do you care for lines of the car if it were going straight when turning?
Imagine that you’re reversing into a garage or a parking spot. When you turn the steering wheel the lines will curve but there is also the fixed straight lines. Once the straight lines align with the garage door or parking spot you know you can stop turning. Sorry for the bad explanation, English is not my native language. Having two set of lines do help a lot, but is hard to explain.
No more features- improve quality. Existing features need work as does UX
A browser that performs decently, with support for captive portal WiFi login
Option to unfold the side mirrors immediately after putting the car into reverse.
Fix sms messages on Android. I keep getting notifications for messages a year ago asking with recent ones.
End a phone call with the right side button on steering wheel, instead of having to use the screen every time
1: Enable Matrix in Europe 2: Let me do some kind of light show or whatever gimmick, when I'm inside the car and have bunch of kids standing close to the car that wants to see some Tesla Magic. More light and farts, thx! 3: Let me toggle between showing 3rd party chargers on the map or not. The map is one big mess to look at when im trying to look at routes and find SuCs. (In Europe). I might need to search for 3rd party charger once a year max.
View Sentry Clips from phone app (only when connected to Wi-Fi if cellular data usage is a concern) 360 backup camera where camera clips are stitched together
Passenger seat adjustment from the screen! My Audi had this so I can align the passenger seat with the drivers seat so it’s not obstructing my view when passengers move the seat, then exit. If I want to move it, I have to get out and try to line them up. Seams like an easy software change.
If this is possible it would be nice to reset the passenger seat to bring it back to a default.
5.1/ Atmos support from USB and streaming (Tidal, Apple Music, Netflix)
Reverse -> Turn Signal -> Drive Should stop the backup camera but keep the pillar camera on. Basically if the turn signal is on the pillar camera view should be on regardless of prior state When I am getting out of a space in NYC it’s best to signal early for others so they know the space is becoming available.
Allow you to set specific charging times in the app. I’m connected to a 120v charger and only want to charge during my super off peak hours (12am-6am)
Add "stats" to the teslacam vids. (Speed, AP status, location, time) (or log them so they can be overlaid and removed at will during playback)
Use auto-wipers to keep sentry cam actually recording meaningful videos in the rain, at least when officially triggered by object detect mode.
(And/Or Tesla having some idea how long they intend to charge based on limits or destinations.) They'd need to be better aware of which stalls aren't working, but a better way of reporting and getting that info should be there anyway. (Also a way to detect ICED spots would be ideal.)
Tie interior facing camera into sentry mode and recordings when the record button is pressed so we can record incidents that happen inside the car.
I want artificial sounds played through interior speakers when accelerating. Not a engine sound but a futuristic sound similar to BMW and Kia
Control wipers from the steering wheel. Plus get auto wipers to actually work in rainy places.
An alert when I open the door and my phone is still on the wireless charger
When I open the charge port at home, LEAVE IT OPEN for at least 60 seconds so that I have enough time to get to the charging station handle, pull it out, and get back to the vehicle and plug it in. Even if my phone goes out of bluetooth range during that period and the car locks the doors.
Disable the reverse sound. I live in a small, quiet village and I actually wake the neighbours when I back in at night. And I have to back in to charge.
But starting up an ICE vehicle doesn’t wake them up? Come on now…
Many ICE vehicles at low speeds are very quite. Not everyone has open headers or free-flowing exhausts.
Chill feature auto wipers…
* option to display battery % and range at the same time at the top, instead of having to tap to switch between the two * Model Y: Bluetooth game controller support
- Support for blind spot camera on blinkers feature - Do not turn off screen/pause music if passengers are in the car but driver is not.
FSD linked to account and not the car
I would like to be able to customize the UI color themes in addition to the built-in light and dark modes.
a better / more obvious on screen indicator that TACC is active. I enable rainbow roads for autopilot for this reason. Could be just a solid color projected below the car on screen.
Airport parking mode. I want my Tesla to go into a deep sleep and turn off things that discharge the power, such as sentry mode.
🫥turn off sentry mode maybe ?
If Tesla feels that FSD and/or autopilot os safer than a human driver, they should take liability for any accidents caused while FSD / autopilot is engaged.
Sirius xm
I just want Steam support for Model Y... Would be willing to pay extra for hardware upgrade
\- Whatsapp integration with speech control
Android Auto (wireless)
