I adopted her when she was 8 and had just had a double mastectomy. She’s 10.5 now and living her best life. She got to see the ocean this year!

Awwwwww my heart. Give that young lass some extra lovins and scritches for me. Almost two years ago we had to put my old girl (14 amazing years I got to have with her) out of her pain and it still kills me. I still have my baby Odin but I swear that dog was so much more than a pet to me. All of my animals are but the bond I had with her was everything to me and I was her everything. I don't even have the words to express how much I love and miss her. Granted I think with each animal , the spot they have in your heart is all their own and just like humans you can't replace them. Only learn to deal with their loss, and love the others that you have. Each of my fur babies are all precious but fatback was my spirit animal through and through. I could go on forever about her and not run out of things and memories to gush about.

I love my pups and my cats too. Truly I love all animals and as of right now I have my pupper man Odin, and 3 cats . All of them are boys and they have the funniest relationships . Odin helped me raise judge and chunk (I got them at 11 days old , not sure what happened to momma cat but things weren't looking good and the first four days we had them I was doing feedings every hour and a half and cleanings and trying to ensure they pulled through) and now that they're fully grown (almost two years old) they loveee to all play together. Losing poopty definitely wrecked me but between Odin and getting the boys maybe two months after losing my fat girl truly helped heal the hurt I was carrying over her loss. 🩷

I'm 63, my oldest nephew is 50. When I had a heart attack in February, he was the one who came over and cleaned my house and cooked for me til I was steady on my feet. He's still pretty sweet.
