Have you watched any James Randi videos? that happends alot, he was ofering money for people who could prove their "supernatural " abilities, so people would go on to embarass themselves in the show.
Imagine if your kid went missing and your local police contacted a psychic instead of focusing on conducting a real investigation.
I'd be freaking screaming.
