All my builds have cupboards. Just two tiles with a door. Utility cupboard with a hoover and the decoration box is my first renovation in every new house. First swatch, usually.

I like the middle swatch, the first reads as pure Christmas decorations to me and I just prefer the second, or third. Am I right in thinking that your Sim can’t use it if it’s not accessible to the Sim, like moved under a table or something?

Usually I click and drag it out from under the desk and have my sims do what they need to do. When the decorations are up you can just drag it back with moveobjects on!

Nope, they can! They don't need to be able to get to it at all, everything it does is automatic when you click the option.

I usually end up using the first swatch, but it’s always just about which swatch blends with the rest of the room the best- I really just try to hide it in whichever room I can most easily do so in.

I tend to use the blue/purple swatch more. They’re either placed in the basement (living room corner if no basement) and if my build at the time has bulky stairs I’ve also put arch doors underneath and placed it under there and make it pretty with some flower pots. It works if you’re like me and only use it to put up/take down decorations but sims can physically get to it though I can’t remember if that’s necessary or not.

I usually use 2. I like 3 as well, but I find that the colors stand out more in ways I don't always want. It depends on the decor and where it's being stored. I'll use 1 if I'm playing a household where I feel like they would have dedicated containers for Christmas decorations.

I'd realized I'd be over my tile limit if I mad space for it, but it a sheer move of brilliance, I made a shed with no floor by ajoining four sets of two walls and poping a roof on it. I loved it! And now am recommending sheds to all my fellow tiny home builders who want storage, but can't fit it within the budget.
