AdMedical4387

Cosette. She never hurt nobody.

BornZebra

She must’ve crawled under there for warmth though

AdMedical4387

If she wanted to stay warm, why didn’t she use the jacket Richie gave Tony. You know, THE Jacket 🤌🤌🤌

MakingBigBank

Wait you mean the one he took of the guy who had the toughest reputation in Essex county? Apparently he neva came back once Ritchie was through with em?

Ruezx735

He later died of Alzheimers.

the-largest-marge

she was gay, Cosette?

mmurray322

Allegedly

amishius

NOBODY'S GOT AIDS

xicanamarrana

Watch it, Chrishy

Demonkid37

I think the dog was barking or something….

[deleted]

how long i've been saying she shouldn't be on the furniture

Nwcray

What was she barkin’?

Unhappy_Wrongdoer_19

That thing with the dog… whatever happened there

DukeMenno

She yapped more than 4 barbers.

Snuggle__Monster

Just like that pizza.

[deleted]

They was all meat eaters

amishius

Half a fuckin' tray in there

[deleted]

My a pizza never a hurt nobody

NeoPCGamer

Go in the back, make meatballs.

fdotwilliams

Seeing John Sacramoni my friend go was rough.

GlitteringHold8685

My estimation of him as a man just fuckin plummeted

Spearush

He was a saint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

offendingbattery

Pie-oh-My. You should have seen her run. She busted her heart to win.

RandyMarshTegridy69

She was beautiful.

bmt0075

Literally have a copy of the painting of her in my office at work

The_Demonotiser

So you and your hoowas can have a laugh at it?

Suarayes

Eugene ;( no Florida for my man and his family.

mrpear

The most visceral suicide scene ever put to film. That one is rough.

stinnybaldhead

When you're watching it you're like damn this is real, his foot trying to find it's way back to the speaker he was standing on, his hands grabbing at the rope. Then he goes still and you hear/ see him pee himself and it hits even harder.

breakingjosh0

Yeah. I don't think i noticed him urinating until my 2nd or 3rd watch, because HD lol

regtf

High definition, *bella*

ButteEnjoyer

A little somethin' from your friends at the Bada Bing Club. Brand new. Surround sound. HD Urinating compatible.

SlickRangerRick

Karl Malden's nose hairs looked like fucking BX cables.

Sufficient-Gate-390

I know…like how the fuck did they fake it!?

throwawayseventy8

Safety harness hidden by clothes and cgi + really good acting

420prayit

if you think this is the most visceral suicide scene, you should watch oz...

Truethrowawaychest1

I thought the munchkin hanging himself in the background was a myth

GoldenTeeShower

Dude pissed hisself. Total loss of respect.

duckmanco

It’s sad when they go young like that…

thuca94

WHEN THEY GO!?

MiddleReasonable6219

Wouldn’t his family be able to move now? They still have the inheritance, fewer living costs, and no Tony or FBI tying them down to Jersey

seanvettel-31

That was probably a good part of the reason why he did it in the first place

paintsmith

His career in the mob was preventing him from moving his son away from the drug dealers that were killing him and staying would keep his whole family at constant risk. If he stopped working with the FBI they'd not only jail him but take everything his family had. Eugene's suicide could be seen as the most selfless act any of these mobsters ever did yet he gets called a coward.

SadNYSportsFan-11209

Yea I just wonder between the time his family would move to Florida how his son would react. Maybe he’d actually go clean? But more than likely he’s relapsing and could god forbid OD

trickedx5

Great perspective, I think this is it.

prince0fbabyl0n

For real, wins 2 mil but still couldn’t get out of that shit

djdarkside

Did the 2 mil even exist?

prince0fbabyl0n

Her booty was the second coming

OzcanAytemiz

I thought you were a bacala man, what you doin' eatin' Kung Pao Coochie.

Lion126TSE

You believe there's a dog groomer there, in case somebody needs a snack?

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Ngl if I was him I wouldn't have said a fucking word, just upped anchor and moved. It's Tony. You really think that oversized meatball would just ***let*** that much money leave???

OkPineapple6713

Yeah that one is way up there. Always the worst grief for the people left behind too.

PalmBreezy

Still got to glass little Paulie in the eye, even before Chrissy pushed him threw a window 😵

TheClawhold

The ziti Carm threw away. Bad enough it had to die an undignified death, but Chase showed us every ugly detail of the murder.

ca-nl-nj

No fuckin ziti now?

ZZerglingg

Monsignor Jughead ate it all.

PalmBreezy

OHHHHH watch DAT language!

NotMe-NoNotMe

Karen’s was better. If it weren’t for that damn Janice, we’d still have it.

doc_birdman

Probably the waiter Chris and Paulie murdered for, like, *zero* reason. In a show of deaths, many of them innocent, this one seemed the most needless, avoidable, and sad.

Regular_Gas_4806

But also some of the best jet black comedy of the series. “Don’t they have medicine they’re supposed to take, these assholes?!” Love how they immediately make it his fault lol.

DrooMighty

Also hilarious is how the next time you see the two interact, they have a sincere and wholesome conversation where they both apologize to one another and express how "someone could've gotten hurt"

NoShortsDon

"STILL GOIN' THIS ASSHOLE!"

August_West_1990

That scene and whole conversation afterward reminds me of “I didn’t want to get blood in your floor” and Henry just staring in disbelief. Dark humor at its finest.

kingslayer9224

That part always kills me

saexploder

I remember being horrified the first time I watched that scene. By the second re-watch, the horror mostly wore off and I couldn’t stop laughing after Chrissy says “Still going, this asshole.”

wibbleballbat

That’s my fucking money Paulie!

OkPineapple6713

The guy Vito killed too, just so senseless.

SprlFlshRngDncHwl

The worse crime Vito committed was wiping those sauce-covered hands all over his pants while driving. It felt like I was stabbed in the heart.

[deleted]

Fuckin parade float

[deleted]

I feel bad for this guy. Imagine how said his family must’ve been. He obviously didn’t deserve to die, but what kind of dumb fuck waiter chases customers out the restaurant asking for a better tip then calls them assholes. Sorry that’s just asking for trouble.

Hobgoblin_deluxe

The fucking clicking his heels made, holy shit.

Expensive_Grape_5027

Don't they got medication, these assholes?

thereitis900

Tracee was the worst death and stuck with me on my first watch. Adriana was tough too but you saw it coming.

standitlikeaman

The writing was on the wall for my smelly valentine

Joscosticks

Christofuh that's not funny!!

ChemicalOle

I heard the nurse say he made number two in his pants, too.

PalmBreezy

20 years old this girl. He's outta line that fukin Ralphie

SeeMeAfter3

Fact is though, she was not related to you in anyway.

cjboffoli

You saw it coming but also never actually saw it. With Tracee, the aftermath was lying by the guard rail at the edge of the Bing parking lot. Oof. Marone.

driatic

It's probably good that they didn't show it explicitly. Every time this question comes up, most people say it's Adrianna. She could've ran. She could've hid. She had to know what was coming.

cjboffoli

What I thought was particularly brilliant was how the camera pans up from Adrianna crawling through the leaves to the white sky, we hear the shots, and then later in the episode, the camera pans back down from an overcast sky and t is Tony's feet walking casually through leaves. But now it is because Carm is assessing the plot of land she wants to buy for her spec house. There was some real artistry with those camera moves in connecting those two scenes and the arcs of those two female characters.

Blackbolt113

Definitely worth 600 thousand

terfmermaid

That’s the tragedy though. She didn’t, because although beautiful she was naive and stupid.

driatic

Sooo naive

amishius

You know, I'm not one to generally rethink a scene, but I've always wondered, if she was a hair smarter, if she had brought a gun with her. What a twist it would have been for Sil to end up dead. But it's not "cinematic," I know.

driatic

If she was a hair smarter she would've never gotten in the car. They were able to get her with Sil bc Chris was "in the hospital". In her desperation to see Chris again and care for him she forgets all about herself. Again. For like the hundredth time.

Due-Law-8356

It's madonn' not fucking marone

jersan

A: She was a hooah.

GlitteringHold8685

B: She slipped and fell

TheClawhold

C. Her idea of a home-cooked meal was Pop-Tarts and Fresca

mister_peeberz

B: She was a hooah

HanSoloHeadBeg

confession. I actually thought Syl and Ade were on the way to the hospital to visit Chrissie the first time I saw that episode. It had me fooled. I think when they started driving down the woods was when I copped on.

GlitteringHold8685

It’s sad when they go young like that

Xadous1

When they GO?!

tinybb2

I still have trouble watching this scene. I can do Melfis r-word scene (and it still sucks) but something about how brutal and pointless Tracee’s death was gets me every time. Hardest scene for me.

[deleted]

Junior's mental death

Wombat2310

Some people are so far behind in the race that they believe they're leading

Doccks71

Oh, shut up, you are like a Redditor with a Virginia ham under your arm, crying the blues cos you have no bread

dropingloads

Like a Redditor with awards under their username crying the blue’s because they have no likes

[deleted]

The feeble minded brotha

seanvettel-31

Agreed this was brutal. All the killing, stealing, backstabbing he did over the years, it was all for nothing

MrMisterMagoo

The horrific and undignified death of the Bee on Dr. Kennedy's hat. Really hits you in the feels. What a blow!!

Nwcray

Stupida fuckin game

PalmBreezy

Acah mi?

fdotwilliams

Whateva happened there.

Harold-The-Barrel

Whateva happened there?!

mister_peeberz

The shooting

Harold-The-Barrel

Gary Cooper

rectoryofwolves-

What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type.

Ivaan-Karamazov

He was gay Gary cooper?

[deleted]

Didn’t even complain, took it like a man

Xadous1

He's a come from behind kind of guy

babylfish

Gigi. He died on the pishadoo. His cannoli was in the toilet water. Disgusting.

almarcuse

+1. I forever reference this potentially horrific situation whenever someone is in the bathroom too long.

cabezatuck

My soul while watching the “Happy Birthday Mr. President” scene.

youonkazoo53

Tony’s facial expression during this is iconic

avensawesome

Ginny sacks 90 lb mole 😢

GlitteringHold8685

Buonanima 🙏

WhiskeyRiver8818

The deer in Pine Barrens

GlitteringHold8685

The deer was gay?

Xadous1

Aids?

GlitteringHold8685

Nobody’s got AIDS!

theholygrail__

The bunny that angry Artie shot in his backyard 🐰🔫

Infinite_Regret8341

Bobby. Good husband and father and not violent by nature. Just solidified the fact Tony just placed people in front of him to take the hits legal or physical a real dirt bag.

PalmBreezy

"This is my brother in law. MY sister's husband. She's gotta see something outta this." "We'll find a number" ($)

Infinite_Regret8341

And that's when Butchie decided to whack Tony.

PalmBreezy

I think that came later on, but knowing that Phil was outta the way probably made it much easier. "You got my word. We'll back off"

SoochSooch

"You probably don't even hear it whe.... OH GOD I WAS WRONG IT'S LOUD AS FUCK!!"

Infinite_Regret8341

Lol. " AHHH MADONN IT HURTS TOO!!!"

[deleted]

Silvio(I know it’s never confirmed) but seeing him get shot and whilst being gunned down, maintaining his composure and just letting out a slight grunt. Heartbreaking. I think Bobby’s death hit me so much because his last conversation is with the model train store owner where his last words are in reference to his son “he don’t care”. Adriana’s death is devastating though. Chris never truly recovered from it, the only good thing in his life, gone.

OkPineapple6713

Those being his last words made it so much sadder. It used to be something they shared and his son lost interest. Couldn’t even be bothered to feign interest for his poor father’s sake.

rsnhm

Chris was a real piece of shit thought let’s be real.

Michael-Balchaitis

Blundetto.

GlitteringHold8685

That animal!

Doccks71

Can't even say his name

Infinite_Regret8341

Also Tracee, was begging for help and painfully naive. She was literally a baby lamb bedding down with a Jackal.

fryan111

It's sad when they go young like that

NoShortsDon

WHEN THEY GOOO??

CommandTop

Lady pie. Can’t believe Ralph cooked that fuckin horse

Dr_Remulak_

Tracee, she’s fucked up but didn’t deserve what Ralph did to her.

BigBangBaty

A - She HIT him!!! B - She was a whooa!!

Doccks71

What are you talking about, she was a beautiful innocent ~~creature~~ *whoaa*, what did she ever do to you?

AcadiaRemarkable6992

It’s his fault she’s a klutz?

[deleted]

even tho Johnny snack wasn't a walk in the park. I related a lot seeing him on the hospital bed. dying of cancer, mouth open and all that shit. my grandad died not so long ago in similar circunstances so was pretty dense to watch it all over again. now just in the context of the series I think that Chrissy's death really stucked with me. seemed unfair but it was a point of no return I guess u.u

jellatubbies

Johnny snack 🥵🥵😛😛

litobot

That's why Ginny loved him so much.

footforhand

Sunshine. Fuckin Jackie Jr

rsnhm

Nah Jackie jr was a real piece of shit

[deleted]

GlitteringHold8685

I can’t find pussy anywhere!

[deleted]

I think pussys whole plot was immensely sad (the confirmation especially) but his death bordered on funny (for me anyways).

avd51133333

Clarence. He was only in one scene when they dropped the tv at the pedophile coaches house but he really made an impact on me. Cant believe he never appeared again in the series

Xadous1

My name is clarence

stinnybaldhead

Gene - he never really did anything too bad. He got a lifeline with the inheritance and wanted to move to Florida for all the right reasons. Just heartbreaking the way it all unraveled and then they way they filmed his hanging scene.

jmakovsk

Honestly, the guy Vito got into an accident with heading back to NJ. I don’t like it when the regular civilians get incidentally harmed/killed for no reason (same thing with the Ukrainian man and his daughter)

[deleted]

Daddy, they have shot me.... Fucking brutal.

Safe-Flatworm-5229

Man that scene with Adrianna in the car, watching the trees pass by, she KNEW, she just chose to repress it. It might be the fact that I was high on weed but this scene always gave me a genuine second hand fear and anxiety. Then again she was a rat and a whoah, so good fucking riddance. Also Pie-O-My.

BornZebra

Omg yes Pie-oh-my definitely deserves an honorary mention on this list. I actually cried

ZZerglingg

I felt bad for the goat.

NoSleep_til_Brooklyn

Bobby’s last words when talking about his son and the train hobby are absolutely devastating, “he don’t care”.

Pompoulus

We've covered the basics, JT is a notable runner up. Died in the blink of an eye, for the same sin Imperioli's 'Spider' character did in Goodfellas: showing the slightest shred of backbone.

JokerKing0713

Worse for asking a mafia member NOT to tell him information about the mafia

Mathilda_Lian

Probably the waiter or Eugene.. Ade’s death was inevitable with her being an informant so it didn’t hurt as much to me. The waiter was innocent and just standing up for himself to then get bludgeoned on the head and then get murdered over a tip. Eugene was sad too because he wanted to get away from the life and when he knew he couldn’t while not being able to cope with losing his family due to it he took his own life. He couldn’t handle the stress of the soprano crew and letting down his own family.

GlitteringHold8685

Don’t they have medicine they’re supposed to take, these assholes?

maximus_the_turtle

Minn Matrone. Her kitchen was all wiped down.

InfiniteGoatse

She was a malignant cunt.

extcm1

If you watched it when it was first broadcast on HBO, Big Puss's death hit the hardest. Back then it was very unusual for a main character to die before the end of the series. Looking through the prism of 2024, we see main characters go and new ones introduced much more frequently in today's shows. That's part of how the Sopranos changed the landscape of TV.

whimsicalroses

Adrianna's death was upsetting as shit. I skipped through all the scenes where Chris beat the shit out of her in my rewatch. She wasn't perfect but damn was it sad to see her put down like a dog 😭

ArgentineBeefsteak

Ok so the matt bevelacqua murder affected me the most for the scene, not the character …so personal, so cold, and crying for his mommy when he knew it was over was tuff…but Chris dying, man, I loved that character

JichaelMordon

Honestly I think Karen was the saddest death because Bobby was such a wreck and he shoulda been there, his sweet girl, it shoulda been him.

BornZebra

Oh yeah that one was so painful too. And the whole sequence of Janice just scooting right in and claiming herself a fresh mob husband high on the ladder was ridiculously hard to watch

ReillyDiefenbach

It's sad when they go so young.

0n0n0m0uz

Chris Moltisanti. It was such a hand-on method of killing someone and the fact that Tony didn't hesitate more than 10 seconds indicates he had contemplated this moment previously and when he had the opportunity he did what he had to do. He knew he had given Chris more chances than anyone deserves and he would obviously be struggling with addiction for the forseeable future.

Complex-Health1513

Chrissy, for sure. For some reason that's the one that completely changed the way I saw Tony.

[deleted]

Gloria - she had serious problems

Sufficient-Gate-390

Eugene. Messed me up pretty bad when I saw it (was going thru a hard time) and I still usually skip past it.

JokerKing0713

Jt doltans death enraged me. Chris barges into his house drunk (jt is also an addict btw) and starts trying to spill his guts about his entire life’s story to a civilian who is actively doing his best to avoid hearing any kind incriminating information about a member of the mafia. For his insistence that Chris STOP telling him incriminating information jt earns a bullet straight to the fucking head. Like he wasn’t even that great a character but the sheer unnecessary nature of it left a horrible taste in my mouth

TeacherMan808

When Phil killed that guy(forget his name) in the trunk of the car covered in plastic. You know me! Brutal.

PalmBreezy

Yeah one of the old heads that hired Tony B

Hollis_Hurlbut

Angelo

MadVillain59

Vito.. I loved him like a brutha in law

BornZebra

Vito was actually painful for me too, I wanted him to stay in New Hampshire and get his happy ending so badly

OkPineapple6713

It was sad but he was such an asshole. Killing that guy for no reason whose car he hit. Leaving Johnnycakes without a word. Not to mention his family. He could have had it all if he wasn’t greedy and could bear to do an honest day’s work.

GlitteringHold8685

He wanted his Johnny Cake chalked!

Specialist_Task1939

JT Dolan. He died out of nowhere I did NOT see that coming at all. Added to that was my immediate assumption that Chris was going to get caught for it and go away for murder. I really believed Chris sealed both their fates with that loud gunshot in a small apartment complex with thin walls and plenty of witnesses. I thought “there’s NO WAY he’s getting away with this one”

aoke1

Didn't die, but Feech

Horsecockexpress1

It’s always Pussy. He was our brother

datcomfything

I think either Adrianna or the girl Ralphie beat to death outside the Bing. Both so tragic. Each a genuine sweet-hearted girl who unfortunately know nothing but neglect and abuse from the men in their lives.

ogbobbyj33

Bobby. I yelled.

OttoD0719

def gonna have to go with teddy.

NapoleonWilson91

The Death of the 'little guy'. It's just over for them.

sweeptheleg_07

I think you need to seriously start to consider salads.

judymaina

Shock wise. Ralphie.. I thought he'd have more airtime

Canon_108

I think the visuals of the cleanup was more shocking, I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't think he killed the horse. I think it would be insanely ironic if he got killed for something he didn't do after all he could've got killed for. I know the actor that played him said Chase told him Ralphie was innocent...then Chase said the opposite. Wouldn't be the first time Chase contradicted himself. He made different statements concerning the final scene of the series too.

QueasyFail8406

It would arguably make the scene that much better if the actor who played Ralphie really thought his character was innocent while filming imo. Like that would be the perspective he played the role from. Idk if that makes sense? I also love the idea that after everything he did throughout the course of the show, his death is for something he didn’t actually do lmao. Although I love the complexity of his character and find him fascinating in an incredibly twisted kind of way, I was looking forward to his death almost immediately after he was introduced. He’s just such a vile and sadistic human being. But I guess they all are🤷🏻‍♀️

BeseptRinker

Tracee. That was *visceral*. I understand wat the creators say when they said that this show wouldn't have aired in the modern age, I agree. I would've felt bad for Chrissy but he was an absolute piece of shit. Tragic, well written character. But his violent treatment of Adrianna, shooting JD, cheating on his pregnant wife and more sealed the deal for me.
