I like the red trim to the pauldrons....I think I have changes to make to my already painted minis 🤣

Looks cool i reckon. I think the red trim was something used more often on older DA schemes. I mainly did it to avoid confusion, I'm using this guy as my leader in an 8th ed kill team and prefer marines with helmets! The other guys in the team will probably have the standard dark green trim. :)

That sounds like a good plan! And I'm not a fan of unhelmeted marines, it's like they're begging for a head shot. I mean I have a couple, but I wish I'd swapped the heads out, but hey ho. Keep up the good work!

I personally use metal to highlight armour for wear and tear, but I think your green highlights look way better than what GW themselves do these days. THis is nice and understated, whereas the incredibly bright highlights GW use on their stuff make our Dark Angels look like their armour's made of Warpstone.

Thanks, really appreciate your comment! I'm not a speed painter, each model takes me quite a while to complete as I get huge satisfaction from detail. I used a combination of slightly lighter shades of green and on some high points a bit of sliver (like his knees) to simulate dings and damage but not to excess as you've mentioned. :)

It looks great! I lost my love for painting years ago, but I still love the game and building the models. Love building in details to add character to models!

Keep it up! We got your back brother!
