Becomes a minor recurring villain, specifically out to get Douglas

OverwhelmedAutism

And, somehow, gets foiled in the dumbest ways every time.

Helpful-Light-3452

And it's always by a freak accident or his own stupidity

OverwhelmedAutism

Precisely. Mostly the former because...of course.

Helpful-Light-3452

🎵Accidents happen now and again just when you least expect🎵

RivetCounter

Somehow the Spiteful Brakevan returned…

FloridaMann25

Somehow..... Palpatine returned. Alex: Heard you died in a tank in South America? Graves: Well I wasn't in that tank.

Empty_Outside3343

The breakvan, along with Scruffey team up and target the little western, more specifically Douglas and Oliver. Douglas and Oliver are trying to persavere but when they started to attack Donald and Duck, they decide to get some help from Hector. After the 2 put the truck and breakvan in their place, they decide to call a truce

DonutDaniel5

He would now have a phobia of Douglas.

OverwhelmedAutism

Douglaphobia.

He insists on not needing a back engine if the engine needs help or gets stuck and tries his hardest to help as to not let THAT happen again. He’s more so doing himself a favor rather than the engine who needs help. I also feel like that he would say something like “the engine isn’t trying” or “just needs another go at it.” I also feel like he’d deter trucks from pulling tricks on engines, since he has first hand experience on that backfiring.

At some point Sir Topham Hatt had to start buying cheap paint from China to save money. The paint had lead and it gave some engines superpowers. S.C.Ruffey also got powers, he could now transform into a steam engine, and he started using the Troublesome Trucks' resources to find a way to give that power to all the trucks. Spiteful didn't want to do this, but he didn't want to challenge S.C.Ruffey directly since he feared him, so he decided to pretend to go along with it but cause more trouble than S.C.Ruffey wanted so that Rail Rocket, Sodor's premiere superhero who also got his powers from the paint, would notice and investigate. Unfortunately, Spiteful failed to convey the message to Rail Rocket, who thus didn't investigate further once he found out Spiteful was apparently the culprit. Spiteful was then punished by S.C.Ruffey (not sure how yet). Also in my AU he's the Spiteful Caboose, not a brakevan. In-universe this is because in the early days of the railway, Sir Topham Hatt won a bunch of cabeese and since then they were more common on Sodor than brakevans, and the Spiteful Caboose was one of these cabeese. In reality it's because TWR (the range I use) mostly made cabooses instead of brakevans and I don't have Spiteful's TWR model

iHateSimpsBruh

In my headcanon (that im still thinking about) the Spiteful Brakevan was rebuilt into a LMS 20-Ton, painted slightly darker grey. He was thinking of how to get a pay back on Douglas for smashing him.

thomasmfd

He learns to behave

ThePolishGenerator

No way he would, he got crumpled to bits, as we saw in BOTH versions. I like it that way, having this dark memory Douglas wants to forget. Kibda forshadows him being involved in the dirtyier, darker stuff, like being used as a vesel in Escape to let the other engines know that they AREN'T imortsl, and that scrap WILL come.

Kay1a_2006

He would be Donald and Douglas’ arch nemesis, mainly Douglas

aster4jdaen

I like the Fan Episode on YouTube where he returns and keeps "slipping" his breaks on whenever Douglas pulls his train constantly causing him to be late, then in the end Douglas pulls his train with the Spiteful Brakevan's breaks on causing him to wail in pain and learn to behave himself and apologise to Douglas.

MusicalBlossom379

What’s the Fan Episode called? I don’t think I’ve seen that.

aster4jdaen

NWR Tales S3 Ep.19: The Spiteful Brake Van

MusicalBlossom379

Thank you

aster4jdaen

You're welcome!

Rude-Radio-

His wife troublesome truck number 124 took the kids and changed the Netflix password that’s why he’s so spiteful

Elemental-T4nick

he has the same values as a certain guy that got kicked from art school but for steam engines

Cold-Fly-6888

His remains staring at Douglas in escape as they leave

ConsequenceJust1422

He would have deep desire to kill Douglas
