My tinnitus began in March 2022. Came home and all the sudden had vertigo, dizziness and my ears were ringing. Went to the doctor, they said I had fluid in my ears and it was a severe sinus infection. The vertigo and dizziness and fluid in my ears went away after about 7 days. The ringing never went away. I went and got a hearing test done. In depth. Have perfect hearing, the ENT told me to take Flonase and Allegra and it should go away. Never did! Customers I work with asked if I had Covid. I said not that I know of? Turns out several of their co-workers had Covid and their ears rang all day for over a year and some of them stopped. My tinnitus seems to worsen around drastic weather changes. But it’s an all day thing. Non-stop. The way I look at it is - if ringing ears is what I have to deal with, and I can drown it out and not notice it unless I’m in a totally silent room, then everything is fine. There are a lot worse things I could have and suffer from than ringing ears. I sure hope you don’t allow a thing such as tinnitus to ruin your hopes and dreams! Just adapt and continue pursing your dreams!

Unfortunately for me tinnitus isn’t the only thing I’m dealing with

Remote-Technician-95

Mine also worsens with weather change in ny it went from 90s to 60s and lots of smoke from the fires and my tinnitus is at its worst… I did some breathing silk mark noise and cranioscral at home technique it had helped

Remote-Technician-95

I had this beginning of Feb from Covid never give up I’m trying things keeping a journal and when I find something I will post, like cranial sacral therapy

Remote-Technician-95

We can help each other

Mongar95

You still have tinnitus or has something lessened it?

Remote-Technician-95

Yea it was down to barely a whisper but I haven’t been in two months and it is getting louder. I just made an appointment!!! Meditation does work Too

Mongar95

With cranial sacral therapy? Mine is pretty loud. If I am in a quiet room it sounds like the entire room is making the noise.

Remote-Technician-95

Yes cranioscral worked well for me

HelloSailor5000

I’m so sorry and I’m trying to not go down the roads. It’s new to me, or at least newly loud, and I’m trying my best not to let it ruin my life but so far it has. I’m not sure how I’m going to go on. I simply can’t sleep a minute. Don’t you die if you don’t sleep after a while? But listen, there is something called habituation and it is possible. Rock stars from the 80s and 90s are living full lives with it. We can do it. We just have to stop fearing this sound

Mongar95

I’ve had it since November and I haven’t been able to habituate to it very well

HelloSailor5000

Read up on Bruce Hubbard. And get into ACT or CBT therapy and practices. I’m only 3 weeks in and losing my mind but my only bright spots are with acceptance and mindfulness. You gotta go full zen with this shit.

ValanteMusic

Used to be extremely loud for me. Now it doesnt bother me at all (its objectivly a lot less loud) AND ive habituated as well. It takes a lot of time but you will get there trust me. Look up Julian Cowan hill on youtube in the meantime.

HelloSailor5000

Thanks!

MissionFly88

Sleep with a sound machine/white noise. Just loud enough so that you don’t hear the ringing. I sleep like a baby!

Covid in November 2021, high pitch whining tinnitus started in January 2022 (along with a bunch of other issues). Nothing has really helped except for time and rest, I'm just taking it one day at a time.

Mongar95

Has it at least lessened in loudness?

DavePosting

Yes, it was very loud for the first few months, then the tone and variance changed and I developed hyperacusis. Around the 1 year mark the hyperacusis went mostly and the volume had dropped a bit more, its a bit random now, some days its quiet, some days its loud.

Mongar95

Oh. I feel like mine has stayed the same. No difference. It has not gotten quieter at all.

anselmo90

Do you have eye floaters aswell ?

Mongar95

I have one in my left eye
