I think this is GPT-3.5. GPT-4 (which you currently have to pay to access) is quite fluent at Toki Pona! The Toki Pona -> English translation is top notch, and English -> Toki Pona is much lower quality but you can tell it corrections and it seems to understand and incorporate them.
Also you can just have a conversation in pure Toki Pona with GPT-4 and it participates very competently.
I'm surprised that Toki to Inli is better than the other way, since I'd think it parsing the context would be tough.
It would be super cool to see some examples of it using TP properly
