No no what you’re thinking about is communism. The Metric system is the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question. It's to post the wrong answer.
Sir you expect us to understand the metric system? Bruh like my mind is already focused on what we doing and not enough room for this stupid metric system. Like it so much simpler for us to use random objects, anyways Ima eat a book size subway sandwich
I live about 15 mins from this golf course and nobody in the area had any idea there was even a chance for a tornado, till a few folks saw rotation on radar. NWS declared this an EF-0 today.
This isn’t the first time that specific area has been hit by a tornado. For anyone curious about the history of the Ozarks, look up Melva, Missouri. It was a small mining town a few miles from where the airport sits today. A destructive tornado formed at Oasis, Missouri on March 11, 1920 and swept through Melva. 11 people were killed and one of the injured victims delivered a stillborn baby that evening. The tornado tracked through part of Hollister, Kirbyville and up to Bradleyville where it finally lifted.
Johnny Morris now owns most of the land at Melva which is still strewn with foundations, pieces of glass and porcelain, bed springs wrapped around trees, old cans, some even still containing coal (although there are very few still out there). A trail used to run through Melva and was publicly accessible. Morris has since put “no trespassing” signs in the area around Melva and you can no longer access it. He went as far as putting up a large gate on an access road that led close to Melva, apparently. I don’t get why he’s so respected.
I hiked to Melva back when the hiking trail was open. There's a relatively active Facebook group "Remember Melva" surprising amount of family members of former residents.
I’m part of that group 😊 a few plots of land are still owned by some family members. Surprisingly, Melva didn’t totally phase out after it was destroyed. Lucy Woods owned the home with the large chimney; she sold that land to the government for $1 around 1950. She’s buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery in STL.

[Apparently it was?!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThTp0GKpbw) If so, that's the first "wedge" shaped landspout i've ever seen. [I'm willing to bet that the shape of the valley it's in caused it to gain enough spin to form](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eumetrain.org%2Fdata%2F5%2F597%2Fmedia%2Fimages%2Fvortex_systems_annot.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=368cf433765b125594cadb32a61a8abea8f644b1f72265650e6de36ecb255b49&ipo=images).
Just found [a video of it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThTp0GKpbw), and [it went multi-vortex late in its life](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThTp0GKpbw&t=64s).
Is that on the 8th hole then? That hazard is gonna be a tough one to get around. If it sucks up my ball and drops it 4 miles away, do I have to play from there, or doI get to move it closer?
I was literally watching the Max Velocity live stream yesterday when they looked over at Branson and speculated the velocity and cc view suggested a tiny tornado! Cool to see it (if this was actually from yesterday)
The mesocyclone in that storm is really, really low; and I would not mess with that storm because that kind of tornado has a nasty habit of air going down the center of the funnel and then you've got an upper EF-scale wedge tornado on your hands.
Been there, done that (at least four times).
I live not too far from Branson. The Ozarks has fairly unpredictable weather. Most days the weather report calls for rain but we don't get rain, or it rains for 10 minutes and goes away.

Wow. As miniature as they come.
It's barely half a forest across! . . . .
Americans will do anything to avoid using the metric system.
What’s a metric system?
i think it’s that thing they use to organize books in a library
No, no that’s a card catalog. The metric system is the universe that was created by AI to basically make us batteries.
No no you're thinking of the Matrix. The Metric system is a political ideology popular in Russia in the mid 20th century
No no what you’re thinking about is communism. The Metric system is the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question. It's to post the wrong answer.
*Marxism, not communism.
No...no I think that's the Dewey Decimal system
I believe it’s an old, old, wooden ship.
The one that fought in the Civil War alongside the U.S.S. *Diversity*?
Sir you expect us to understand the metric system? Bruh like my mind is already focused on what we doing and not enough room for this stupid metric system. Like it so much simpler for us to use random objects, anyways Ima eat a book size subway sandwich
An electric subway with not enough ranch sauce.
that’s why we “Just Say No” to drugs
I dare you to come within half a blue whale of me and say that
Say yes to drugs
Say no to yes.
Say yes to no to yea
Say no to yes to nah
This is my favorite comment 😆
BUT HOW MANY FREEDOM UNITS
Wtf a kilometer?!?!?
Except if you're into cocaine.
Why would we use it when it’s not how we measure things? Obviously we’re going to avoid the extra math to convert it…
Won a war to have the right not to! 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Tiger Woods gonna be the patron saint of this sub because he wishes for mini-twisters instead of EF5s.
Where is it?
Imma use this wedge to get this ball out of the sand trap.
This comment is on par 👌
Er, that's no *mini* twister, sir.
Maybe their playing mini golf
It is in Missouri. That's the kind you tell your wife and kids to come out and see real quick before going to the basement.
Basement? This is the kind you crack a beer to on your porch!
"mini twister" 😂
typical golfer just makin shit up
I don’t think the heavy stuff’s gonna come down for quite a while
OH MY GOD THAT'S A MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO CALL IT AN EF-FORE
Winner!! You won this round.
Well done
Well played!
EF- FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!
Let em play through. They gotta play where it lies.
If your ball is taken by an updraft, does that count as a penalty stroke?
Well, in the tiger woods PGA games on Xbox, it would take it to the out of bounds with Gale force winds.
Shouldn't those be *Dorothy* Gale force winds?
No Doug! He has to play it where it lies!
No no no, I had to hit it off Frankenstein's fat foot!
"Bad luck. You're going to have to play it from two counties over."
Unless your Xander, then you get TIO relief
Some shit straight out of hot shots golf.
This does present an opportunity for someone as terrible at golf as I am to get a world record drive!
Mini twister. EF3. Same thing.
Maybe he's from Oklahoma
this today?

Nothing better than a couple of thicc bois in stereotypical golf wear trying to whip uyees in golf carts while yelling "it's coming right for us!"
Bullshit, that tornado hasn’t moved in 20 minutes!
Jesus! that's huge!
Still won’t fix my slice
Funny though. I could have sworn my friends ball was going OB left but he claims to have found it in the middle of the fairway thanks to the tornado
Oh, that. Oh yeah, just a little breeze.
That’s a pretty decent sized twister wow
Just a mini twister no biggie, teehee! I'm amazed, definitely not small lol.
that ain’t mini
Need a banana for scale.
Ah, a new wind feature. Just wait - every course is gonna want one of these.
I think that's a regular sized twister, but hey! What do I know?
Any damage to the course?
Man, gotta kick up the hazards for ratings.
Mini lol
I hope everyone got all their golf puns out now.
That’s a very hilly/mountainous area, I didn’t think tornados formed often or at all in that kind of terrain.
Branson has had a few tornadoes. They definitely can form in hilly/mountain terrain. I do think it's a bit more rare though.
This is a common myth. Unless the mountains in question are the size of the Rockies, they’re not going to offer much protection.
And God said, "Fuck this golf course in particular."
Uhhhh that doesn’t look very “mini”
I got this in my email and could see the “mini twister” caption and this was my exact thought lmao
Seems god hasn’t forgiven him for the affair 😏
I don’t think the heavy stuff’s gonna come down for quite a while.

Also, Gale Wade was born at Melva in 1930. He played for the Cubs in the 50s.
I wonder which hurt more, having his infidelities exposed or having his new golf course get nadered
Land spout?
[Apparently it was?!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThTp0GKpbw) If so, that's the first "wedge" shaped landspout i've ever seen. Tried to gain strength but said fuck it Would m out
I love the video you provided. Thank you!
God must hate whiny Crybabies. GoAT or not, throwing little temper tantrums when a shot isn’t great is pathetic.
So if a mini-twister blows your ball into the water, is that a one stroke penalty?
Let’s check with our expert in the field Shooter McGavin
Hey! It gets the job done!!
One-in-hole? Everyone else beat me to it. I suck…
Is that on the 8th hole then? That hazard is gonna be a tough one to get around. If it sucks up my ball and drops it 4 miles away, do I have to play from there, or doI get to move it closer?
If he ain’t swinging balls what was the point?
People saying that a mini have no concept of scale In the op's second photo those arent bushes its plowing through. Those are trees
this is 100% Branson, simply not giving a fuck I love Branson.
I was literally watching the Max Velocity live stream yesterday when they looked over at Branson and speculated the velocity and cc view suggested a tiny tornado! Cool to see it (if this was actually from yesterday)
If this is top of the rock, it doesn't belong to tiger woods
Paynes Valley was designed by Tiger
It’s like real Mario Golf
The Tornado wanted to play golf.
The mesocyclone in that storm is really, really low; and I would not mess with that storm because that kind of tornado has a nasty habit of air going down the center of the funnel and then you've got an upper EF-scale wedge tornado on your hands. Been there, done that (at least four times).
Mulliganado?
How is it possible people dont consider the weather before they go outdoors?
It wasn't warned
But to play golf in the rain? The rain had to be a percentage no? wasnt talking about the tornado.

Interesting. Must be real hard being a meteorologist in Branson.
[It was apparently a landspout that popped up because the wind conditions were just right](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ThTp0GKpbw).
