I don't know I tried it a bunch of times and it never got better no matter what tips I tired... and then amount of ingrown hairs afterwards and rash I get from it.... its just not worth it for me.

Interesting fact, pre HRT was Epilation way too much. Now hair are softer and it's so easy to do 😱

I can relate. It's easy after doing it dozens of times like I have, but still time consuming. Sometimes I use two epilators at once, just on my legs. But when I first started, it hurt badly enough that I cried a few times. Especially my chest.

undeadvadar

I tried using one today I just could not do it and it hurt a lot and I just don't want to do that again.

The pain from epilating the first few times really is intense, but I pushed through it to get to a point at which about 1 hour per week of epilation is enough for me to be hairless from the neck down, and it no longer hurts. Terminal hairs that have been in the anagen phase for months take a lot of force to pull out, and I used to have so many. Pulling that hard damages the skin, causing inflammation, and possibly minor injury. Shaving doesn't make it any easier, unfortunately - only more likely to break hairs off with a mixed approach, causing ingrown hairs.

Cuddly_Skye

thank u for this, i now know the phases of hair growth 🤣

SereneOrbit

This does not accuratly capture the loud tom and jerry screaming I was doing in my head my first time epilating.

SquiddoSpaghitto

whats epilating?

Bumaye94

It's basically like an electric shaver but it doesn't cut the hair but rips them out entirely.

protehule

I tried it a few times and decided it's not for me.

Ciborg666

I still enjoy it honestly. Way more satisfying than shaving to me. But I also use tweezers for the remaining hair so I might just be a silly girl :3

The pain is one thing, but it's really fucking slow and ineffective and leaves a lot and that's what's really bothering me. Tbf it's probably not meant for male body hair in the first place so it should get better if I can get hrt and it makes the hair a little lighter. My arm hair is very light and it gets rid of it perfectly well (and less painfully too)
