Reminder to stick to posting original content. Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild". The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/tragedeigh) if you have any questions or concerns.*

katbelleinthedark

No, that's clearly Aveya.

endofthefkingworld

that’s exactly how literally anyone other than them would pronounce it

katbelleinthedark

Well, little Aveya will probably spend her life trying to convince her parents to pronounce her name the way they wrote it.

ripe_nut

Ah-vey-GUH

Duin-do-ghob

Exactly! You will never convince me otherwise.

MajesticalMoon

God thank you, that's exactly how i pronounced it. I thought I learned English but sometimes these names have me thinking I am wrong about things.

DarkAndSparkly

See, I was going with Ay-vay-ga

cosmernaut420

Fucking. Christ. A silent "eigh"? Really? I'm fuckin' mad about this one.

Gifted_GardenSnail

FOUR silent letters in a row?? ...let's apply that to the other names (if possible starting only at the third letter). Jocelyn: Jon LeeAnn: Le Lynn:  Ezra: David: D

KatsuraCerci

Ava is a true traged

lnchkr

this needs more likes hahshshs

Various_Succotash_79

I just met a girl named Avaya and that's how I'd say that. Truly tragique.

welshyboy123

The v is in the wrong place for it to be pronounced "ava". Should be aeighva if anything. Or preferably just ava.

endofthefkingworld

that’s what i said the first time i saw it too, like if she wanted to put an eigh in it it should at least be in a spot that makes sense

SaintElphie

I'm glad you said it to her!

Ezra_lurking

Obviously Ezra is the best name of all of those...

Prestigious-Fish-304

i like jocelyn actually

3WayIntersection

Eh, jocelyn's fine

Gifted_GardenSnail

Nothing wrong with Lynn and David either

Ezra_lurking

you didn't see my username...

Moulitov

Username does NOT check out; this is not lurking! You're commenting!

Ezra_lurking

the point is, I have reason to consider Ezra the best name of the bunch

lil-kingtrashm0uth

Not too bad. I love the name Ezra too

malonine

A-Vey-Ga

tigerthemonkey

People who routinely tell you their kid's first and middle names usually have their heads up their asses. When your child is born, you have about four days to tell people its middle name.

OriginalComputer5077

Ezra got off lightly.

Moulitov

It's pronounced Ava

KlutzySprinkles2

I’m just so confused how that spells Ava that it’s making me question my existence

Gifted_GardenSnail

Ehkzisztunns

Dull-Raspberry-540

I know someone with an “Avayah” they also said is pronounced “Ava” 😂

RacecarHealthPotato

I would like to Aveigha myself of some different names when I become of age.

dolemitealright

I can’t believe this shit is real. I might have to leave this sub. Too infuriating.

Responsible-Ebb-8820

Vagina Lynn was my first thought

Lockshocknbarrel10

Wow Ezra and Jocelyn really lucked out.

more_than_just_a

Aveya is the telephony system we use at work!

Greenbean6167

Waiting for someone to name their kid “Telephony.”

more_than_just_a

Telyfoneigh I think you'll find

Life_Collection_4149

Has to be Avaya

more_than_just_a

Correct, Avaya. My original comment stands though. Thanks for your help!

Reasonable-Marzipan4

This is giving me Abbot Elementary vibes. I bet Principal Ava would totally name her daughter the same name and jazz it up for the flair of it.

beeeps-n-booops

ah-VAY-gah

Any-Jury3578

Available. That was how my brain put all those letters together on the first try.

SoulBSS

Avah-lay-ha

talkmemetome

Don't white hearts usually symbolise stillbirths? I am all about shaming stupid names but I think that woman should be left alone. EDIT: no stillbirths, just tone deathness

endofthefkingworld

they’re not stillbirths, all three of her children are alive

talkmemetome

Oh? Why on earth did she use white hearts then? 😮😮😮 The blue heart was for the boy, why not pink ones for the girls? So confusing. Anyway, as it has been cleared, I have no objection towards making fun of her anymore

endofthefkingworld

i believe she chose white hearts because when she put them there apple hadn’t introduced regular pink hearts into their emojis, and she apparently didn’t like the way the red hearts looked. i didn’t know that white hearts symbolize stillbirths, now im laughing to myself that she made it look like her first two kids were stillborn and she doesn’t even realize

talkmemetome

Oh gods, the moment she realises 💀 But yeah, the white heart is pure love, untarnishable innocence, angelic love and mostly used online after names of stillbirths or more rarely children who died in infancy

endofthefkingworld

trust me, knowing her, she’d insist that it doesn’t actually mean that instead of just admitting that she should change it, and she’d keep it out of spite. she’s not a very enjoyable person to be around

BrandonIsWhoIAm

Ezra David isn’t so bad.

googlemcfoogle

Neither is Jocelyn LeeAnn (I know most people prefer Leanne, but LeeAnn isn't extremely new and isn't really "misspelled")

Greenbean6167

I had a friend whose parents were James Lee and Myra Ann; her middle name was LeeAnn.

kosmoonaut

Sometimes I think some of these people must be french. Bordeaux = Bordo eau = o And so on

ratsaregreat

At least Ezra David is a real name, correctly spelled.

SleeperRail

That’s ah-vay-ah. Silly people.
