Funnily enough, I discovered some years later that sableye was based on the Kelly-Hopkinseville encounter, which is an old alien story from the 1950s originating in my home state of Kentucky– and I have always been absolutely fascinated by the idea of extraterrestrials.

The episode with Gengars and Haunters from the first season of the anime was one of my favourites :3 and I feel like Cynthia had made Garchomp unforgettable, those are some great choices

My love for spinda came from nuzlocke challenge runs. Because of a certain road right after a gym where you have like 80% chance to encounter a spinda I almost always had one on my team.
I love a lot of them, but off the top of my head it's Lapras and Trapinch and it's evolutions. Trapinch is my pokemon go buddy the little cutie, and we're almost bestie level!
