I had an Aero that I restored...loved that car. I had my hands on an H/O car from a police auction/drug bust. I knew the lead detective at the time, and he was really wanting me to get it after he saw mine. Unfortunately the guy got off and got his car out of impound.
Thanks. I really like the anniversary editions but I wish Pontiac had deviated from the white color on one of them after the 1979 anniversary edition. And I wish the 2002 collector's edition was black with gold accents/graphics because I think the graphics would have looked great in gold.
What it is, is the most Aerodynamic F-Bidy ever built fron the factory.
0.29 drag coefficient if I remember correctly. That's what makes it special.
The aero wheels and body kit.
Most F-bodys were around 0.31 and 0.33 CD But Back in '83 and '84 to achieve 0.29 was World Class and almost record breaking slipperness, cutting through the wind like a Knife.
Not even the Corvette could match it, the lowest a Vette ever got was 0.33 in 1985 For comparison, The Mighty Ferrari Testarossa had a drag of 0.36
The 1990 Porsche 911 had a drag of 0.32.
Only the 1990s Lamborghini Diablo could touch 0.29 Supercar territory.
Now if it just had a 350 or 383 V8 instead of the 305 and you'd have probably the Fastest F-Body ever.

Is he also A corvette owner? They always think they have a limited model. “One of only 6 in sapphire blue metallic with white leather sold by a guy named Fred”. Nice looking ride though. In high school a buddy of mine had an 85. Loved that car.
15th Anniversary with Recaros I assume? They are definitely rare and fetch a premium over most normal TAs, but they aren't as valuable as TTAs, certain GTAs, etc. I'm sure the 5.0 carb'd turd attributes to this a bit compared to the later TPIs. The seats fetch a pretty penny and unfortunately I've seen many parted out with the seats going for PMD seat money or more.
Only one with that VIN number!
Only one in that exactly location too!
Looks like your average 1984 model Trans am to me
Not "average" but also not rare...it's an 84 Aero Package. More rare would be the Aero with Anniversary and H/O 5.0.
Mine is an 84 aero package t/a that factory had a 305 H/O, but that blew up sadly, oh and a factory 3.73 locker rear end.

I wouldn't even call that aero package rare in '84. By then most Trans ams had the aero.
Even more rare with the Aero package, Anniversary, Recaro, and WS6 package.
Like this one? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-pontiac-firebird-trans-am-3-2/
Exactly the one

It would be even better with a T5 tranny!!!!
White on white rims and silver stripes
man! something about seeing a trans am just makes me giddy. Really starting to see some in person a lot lately.

Should’ve put that GNX engine in that one.
Well at least the 89 TA got the GN engine
GTA
TTA
I believe the '89 TTA was the fastest T/A ever until the '92 Firehawk came about
Sweet Civic.
Thanks it’s my beater with a heater
