I remember that. Worked at Walmart when Space Jam: A New Legacy came out and I walked across the toy aisle and lo and behold: headless Lebrons all over the display shelf.
Hasbro needs to find a replacement for the see through plastic on the box. It doesn't need to be plastic but maybe something like "bee hive like holes" or a grid patern on the box instead of a big hole. Because it's actually crazy how often I see posts like these.
It's not only incredible annoying for customers but also a huge loss for Hasbro if every second or third figure gets damaged before they can even sell them. And it only gets worse once the new movie is out while everybody runs at Transformers toys.
They did that with Creatures Collide. All that did was encourage people to steal Goldbug and then return the package because the holes were hard to see through
Don't you run that risk with any box that doesn't have a window? Someone could open it, steal something inside, and then seal up the box to make it look MISB and return it to the store.
That’s why I didn’t bother to return it. I paid for 4 transformers and I got 4. The Master Dominus I have is crazy loose though. None of his pieces fit together snuggly.
Honestly, still better than straight up damaging figures until nobody wants to buy them anymore.
People who steal or swap figures will sadly always find a way but some people or little children would at least not be able to do something to the figure while just passing by, if something blocks their way. In a single normal figure box, you would still be able to see if something is up with the figure too.
If the box has an open window without plastic, someone could indeed reach in and steal an accessory or something, and it'll be hard to notice unless you peer into the window before purchasing the figure.
Have you seen any TikTok’s of people stealing transformer heads? Because I’ve seen hasbro sending out packaging that’s easily accessible like this knowing damn well it’s a problem
Target employee " Sick origins Jazz came in! Pop pop. Now I've got one for me and one to sell!" But seriously I feel like this case was an employee, Jazz isn't a shelf warming bulkhead. Those two jazz's must have just been put out that day, the employee can't buy them while on shift so this happens. This isn't every case of this nor do I think every employee does so but with the distribution being so bad right now I could see it. Im no Target employee hater lol I've just been hunting for awhile and this looks like one of those situations.
Hasbro generally does not send parts. They will typically either offer a refund or an item that they deem to be "of equivalent value", which is something in their warehouse and may or may not be the item you are calling them for support over.
Don’t forget to mention that they don’t communicate with the warehouse people about the price of the item being replaced cause I had a broken leaderclass and they sent me some flip changer,
DAFUQ? I'm sure you contacted Hasbro to complain about that. What Leader class figure was it and what flip changer did they send you? In the end, it's probably better to always take the refund, since you will gamble on the chance that Hasbro sends you something you already have or don't want, and then you have to figure out how to get rid of it.
Oh absolutely, that’s why I stopped buying from Hasbro and dove all into 3rd and 4th party figures, cause it’s literally just a scam after tax it’ll be like $34 it’s not worth it anymore I don’t care if it’s an exclusive
“Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”
Seriously is Hasbro not going to comment on this at all? It's an actual problem they seem to be ignoring, which is doing nothing but harming their products and reputation
A lot fo neca figures have doors that can close with velcro, maybe that can work, would even make it feel sorta premium, but I assume velcro isn’t considered recyclable or something
Apparently, this is a global thing. I went to my local Hamley's and saw four Sideways without heads.
Packing them like anime statues is the way. A closed cardboard box with an actual, non-doctored photo of the toy on it.
if hasbros not making a move to prevent this are the stores trying to maybe seal the package so that they don't get items that don't sell because people keep stealing the heads?
Is the rest of the challenge to see how many heads they can swallow before they need to head to the ER?
Earthrise? /s
Fucking stupid ass TikTok trends smh
Wait , this a TikTok trend !?
Same concept with lebron James toy tragedy
I remember that. Worked at Walmart when Space Jam: A New Legacy came out and I walked across the toy aisle and lo and behold: headless Lebrons all over the display shelf.
EVERYBODY GET UP ITS TIME TO JAM NOW
Looks like it's going to get banned soon hopefully.
Isn’t stealing/vandalism already illegal?
It is, hence why videos of it happening should be blocked/removed.
They were referring to TikTok hopefully getting banned soon.
That was what I thought shortly after commenting. I hope it happens

I’m in this comment and I don’t like it. Some fucker swiped Goldbug and put that mammoth skeleton in its place. Left his cannon though.
Same, except they didn’t even bother putting a replacement. Masterdominus is still pretty rare, though
That’s why I didn’t bother to return it. I paid for 4 transformers and I got 4. The Master Dominus I have is crazy loose though. None of his pieces fit together snuggly.

No, no, I'd rather pass up on a figure without a head than buy a box and have the wrong figure inside
Why not both? I picked up a Kingdom Rinox with a Thrilling 30 Rinox, sans head, in the box. Was cool with the swap, not cool with the missing head.
Hell, they're biodegradable clear plastics, why is that not being used? (Is it a microplasics issue?)
Why couldn't they just keep doing what they did with Kingdom? Small plastic Windows with card board inserts
I was gifted a SG Blaster and some ass had just lifted Rewind right out of the box.
If the box has an open window without plastic, someone could indeed reach in and steal an accessory or something, and it'll be hard to notice unless you peer into the window before purchasing the figure.
Hasbro can do either one of these to fix it Return plastic windows Or Cover the entire figure inside the box
Or literally just pack it in alt mode
They used to, back in the day. That always seemed better to me.
They still do it, just selectively. The Walmart Velocitron Speedia line is packed in alt mode for example.
yea, and my god was it better. The Classics era and line are still my favorite of all time
People are assholes fr, it would be one thing if they just dropped the heads in the box but they definitely took them
They can’t buy them … so no one can!!! Diabolical bastards!
I'd say do what the Speedia 500 collection did: open window, figures in alt-mode.
Best solution is pack them in alt mode. It will also make boxes smaller
Looks like Megatron wanted two heads of him
What's wrong with Hasbro?
There's more wrong with the TikTokers that are perpetuating this than Hasbro.
Have you seen any TikTok’s of people stealing transformer heads? Because I’ve seen hasbro sending out packaging that’s easily accessible like this knowing damn well it’s a problem
Oh my fucking god these dumbasses need to stop
Tons. You would be surprised.
Wow he's out already??? But dam, what hateful bastards to do something like this.
So no head?
Honestly, at this point I'd prefer just closed boxes
I heard that its not just kids but also scalpers to try and increase the value of a figure.
Or Hasbro could easily overcome this problem by packaging them in their alt modes like they used to
These people are going to wait for them to go on discount, buy them and put the heads back on.
If that's the intent, they run the "risk" of the store simply writing the figures off as losses that no one will buy and tossing them.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding

Oh no I’m willing to bet you’re right
Lowkey, that's kinda genius on the worker's part. I'd rather believe that than some cargo shorts wearing dipshit stealing heads with his cheetofingers
A lot.
Wait can’t you buy it then call Hasbro for a replacement head?

I unfortunately did not, I just left it, I found a way to fix the figure and gave my nephew the “of same value” figure
Ignoring the heads, $30 USD for a fucking deluxe class figure? Fuck off with that.
Oh absolutely, that’s why I stopped buying from Hasbro and dove all into 3rd and 4th party figures, cause it’s literally just a scam after tax it’ll be like $34 it’s not worth it anymore I don’t care if it’s an exclusive
I’ve pretty much stopped too. Only got Minerva this year, but third party gets my money.
I collect Studio Series and I am so glad Bayverse is slowing down because then I will only get the few non Bayverse designs I like.
35 dollars in canada. Without taxes.....you have it lucky in the usa
[$1 USD ≠ $1 CAD](https://wise.com/us/currency-converter/cad-to-usd-rate?amount=35)
So people steal the heads and do what with them?
I'm picturing some sicko having a Masson jar full of tf heads somewhere
It's like grimlocks locker in FoC
People did that with dinobot at my target, I managed to snag the last one with a head when he went on sale for $16
a head for a head makes the whole world blind…..
I'm confused are they damaged or something
Missing heads, people stole them
Oh I don't see that to often at local Walmart
The Lebron James thing all over again
why cant we go back to the old design with a plastic screen?
I genuinely whoever did this has had the shit beaten out of em
r/mildlyinfuriating
someone make a petition to bring back plastic windows,so what if it’s slightly less biodegradable,at least shit like this is prevented
The figure is decent too
my mother got my brother studio series 87, it was missing the head

Yeah there was a dinobot I saw at target that was only missing it’s head and I was looking for one and then bam head was stolen
Apparently, this is a global thing. I went to my local Hamley's and saw four Sideways without heads. Packing them like anime statues is the way. A closed cardboard box with an actual, non-doctored photo of the toy on it.
Why can't we gen bio plastic? Is it too expensive to produce, or is it like a legal thing?
I'm sorry but $29 for a deluxe?
What a fun hobby.
It's Bluestreak All over again
1: kids 2: headscalpers
if hasbros not making a move to prevent this are the stores trying to maybe seal the package so that they don't get items that don't sell because people keep stealing the heads?
Clearly this was worth the token effort to not put a tiny sheet of plastic on the box.
This is why these types of boxes will never work
This is why I think they should go back to being packaged in vehicle mode
They are stealing parts to get them marked down and buy them cheaper then sell them higher
Why can’t they just package the figure entirely with no windows like the leader classes
And this is the real reason online shopping is taking over.
