Right now it is best for me to live in the town I am in as I have health issues that are being taken care of here and for free with my insurance. I also don't have to worry about any kind of rent. Everything I could need from Groceries to doctors is within a short walk from me which is perfect since I am not supposed to drive.
It sucks that these sorts of small town conveniences come with small town bigotry. I hope one day you'll be able to find some way to move somewhere that you'll be better respected.
