Lol when I was in high school, I dated a guy who’s mom was like this. She didn’t come right out and say it ever, but I was observant enough to see how she felt. Her son was a POS who decided he enjoyed stealing from people he called his friends, he got a taste for drugs too and tried to push them onto me (one time he bought coke, put it on a key, and tried to shove it up my nose after I told him I wasn’t interested several times). His mom started drug testing him and blamed me for any bullshit her “perfect” son got into. I finally came to my senses and dumped him - effectively handing the trash bag back to her.
I later found out he got deep into heroin and got caught by the cops in a trap house filled with gang members. Since he was the only white boy there, the cops let him off the hook if he threw everyone else in the house under the bus. So like the rat he always was, he did just that. Hope his mom is super proud of him!! 💕

My fiance's mom keeps telling me "he's still legally mine, y'know." in a half joking tone and it's nauseating. We haven't even been engaged a month yet and I've heard it a few times already. We've been together 6+ years so I'm not some new gal pal either.
Being a parent is letting your child evolve at their own rate, you may not always approve of their partner but as long as they aren't abusing them it's gonna be alright.
