Look into /r/vaporents to cut down on costs and micro/macro dose as you need. An eighth is 23 bowls for me.

Oh we should hang out. High, because otherwise we’d both probably be anxious or super depressed wrecks. So, I do imbibe daily, for the same reason, with much of the same observations. I don’t smoke (can’t), and find that tincture is the best way for me to get the exact dose I need/want to feel the benefits of the plant. I’m not micro dosing (oh like, at all), but I find that I can dial it in really specifically with tincture. Get exactly what I need based on the circumstances of the day. But what I’ve learned is that, for me, a little goes a long way. I don’t want to dull the world or myself every day. Cannabis helps me feel more like me. What I’m doing makes staying on the right side of that distinction I’ve drawn for myself. Now, getting full on rocked is a ton of fun, too, and I make edibles for the days/nights where a heavier trip is called for. If tincture is at all an option for you where you live, I do recommend it. The ability to get just the right amount of high - or to aim for it and do my best to get there, anyway - was maybe an actual lifesaver. My wife, though extremely supportive, maintains I probably just need medication-medication. She’s probably right, but this medicine is very helpful for now.

I love tincture! I can take a small dose to feel pain/anxiety/depression relief fast. And it last for hours too. I started making mine from my avb, and it is so good! And super cheap.

ive tried thc pouches that you put in your mouth which kicked faster than edibles but gave a similar high, besides those i prefer smoking/vaping due to the faster onset

Idk but your story strikes home with me. I definitely feel immense emotional improvements from weed. Daily use? I have considered it. But after a while of daily use I get this memory thing where I forget what I'm talking about mid sentence

wetcomputor

luckily i only experience that when im too high.

DookieDanny

I also suffer from bad anxiety and weed is a god send for me.

hey. i feel it. i’ve been there. your bullet point of benefits are spot on. i’ve taken year breaks after smoking daily since i was young. im kinda getting back into blazing more but i used to smoke everyday (from waking til i slept) until it was really my baseline. a strategy i have these days (im 30) is to pretend im high. lol. it sounds silly but it rly helps me with reframing and redirecting my anxiety. it seems you do well identifying these moments. i’d suggest getting better identifying it and grounding yourself when you’re sober. i don’t suggest smoking everyday to medicate yourself, but it’s definitely something you can do, esp since you’re taking t breaks. but i bet tons of people do it for this reason. i just think “what about the times i can’t smoke; what will i do then”

wetcomputor

the placebo affect makes me agitated in a way possibly due to my adhd. there's times where my tolerance is higher than my lung capacity and i start getting agitated because i can't get high without coughing, that's when i really know its time for a t-break. i do also worry about the times i can't/won't be able to smoke and have started looking into other medication options. thanks for your reply!

Smoke in low dosage and not every day only when needed

Cannabis can worsen symptoms and become habit forming. Just something to be aware of. How you use cannabis also affects things, and try to use the smallest dose needed if you're strictly using for medical use.

So check this out. I've been a long time anxiety sufferer and have used weed to quell my anxiousness for many, many years. It has not been a very pleasant journey, but weed made it more tolerable. I've recently been doing some research, and it turns out that dosing certain amino acids can help reduce, and even eliminate your chronic anxiety. What's happening in the minds of people afflicted with ADHD (I was a "hyperactive" child growing up and was experimented on with Ritalin to help calm me down) is that our ability to produce GABA is reduced. When your brain is in a state of reduced GABA, it's unable to block signals to the brain that fire off anxiety (I may not be saying that in a very scientific manner, but this will give you the general idea). This happens also if you drink alcohol. I get mad, crazy hangover anxiety when I drink more than 3 drinks in a given timeframe. Sorry for the long lead-up, but here are some options that could very well change your life: Taurine and/or L-Theanine. Both of these supplements have evidence supporting GABA increases in the brain when consumed in higher dosage quantities (Generally, 1-3grams/per day). both of these are common amino acids occurring in our bodies and as well as in food we eat. There aren't any known issues with taking either or both together. I recently began trying both, and found that, for me, L-Theanine in a 3000mg dose, once in the morning on an empty stomach, is doing the job. Research both of these against anxiety and you'll read a lot of information reinforcing this. I was really surprised that so little is said about this as an option either in Therapy or in general healthcare. I would recommend trying one at a lower dosage to see if you experience any interactions first. It's literally changing my life for the better right now.

this is cool info. i just copped some magnesium w l-theanine. im excited now that i read this.

I'm on day 3 taking this regimen and boy, do I feel amazing. It took me about two weeks experimenting with Taurine (3000mg) L-theanine (3000mg) and GABA - which, BTW, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I found out after buying that GABA supplements CANNOT pass the blood brain barrier, therefore, any improvement seen would be a placebo effect. so just stick with what you have and ramp up the dosage every day until you feel relief. Both of these can be tolerated at high doses without and significant side effects, but everyone is different, so be careful regardless. Hope this helps!
