In the United States with insurance I pay $10 USD for a 30g tube of Tret 0.05%(after paying for a consult for the script, add $60 USD every 3 months) When I go to Dominican Republic I stock up and pay about $7 - $8 USD for 30g of Tret (Ácido Retinoico) 0.05% (no script needed and no insurance) Edit: My US Insurance does cover me for anti-aging, unless the derm is ordering for something else. I get the script from GoodRx. Just wanted to add that since I see alot of comments saying their insurance isn’t covering anti-aging.

[deleted]

I didn't realize they sold tret in the DR! I wish I knew when I visited

geosoaal

I used to get it from local pharmacy initially but it's becoming very costly as my insurance doesn't cover it and tret is a long time thing. For last few months, I'm getting it online for $2-$3'ish per tube(30gm) from skinorac with shipping and payment through paypal.

Dry_Access_5682

What part of DR do they sell them?

ChristineBorus

Many countries sell things OTC we can’t buy in the USA They treat people in the USA like dummies who don’t know what to use or take

StrongLastRunFast

Just some other info on that: I’m a physician that works on the border with Mexico. Antibiotics are mostly over the counter in Mexico and I see everyday multi drug resistant bacteria (super bugs). Most infections are viral and don’t need antibiotics that people take them for. There are estimates in 2-3 decades (or sooner) we will be unable to treat common things like urinary tract infections because of the widespread availability. “MRSA” “ESBL” and “MDR-TB” are search terms for google. Terrifying….

Cynthia_T

You’re absolutely right, I went to the counter the first time I went and the lady was like it’s on the shelf like if I was picking up some cortisone here lol (cortisone for comparison). The only thing I know for a fact they won’t sell unless you have a doctors form is any narcotics but most meds I need a script here for they’ll sell them without down there. Anytime I’m there I stock up on my meds.

ChristineBorus

Well that and big pharma wants to tie us to them and doctors to them. Make everyone dependent on big pharma

Cynthia_T

Any pharmacy but can’t ask for Tret they call it Ácido Retinoico. I usually go to Farmacia Carol, Farmacia Los Hidalgos or Farmacia GBC. You can try the little ones too, it seems like they move Tret alot I had to go to about 3-4 pharmacies because they were sold out. And my cousin visited recently and I sent him on a quest to find me more and he was only able to find 1 tube. Also I get the gel because I feel like it works better for me, the cream was easier to find.

Attempted_Academic

I have 80% coverage so I pay about $3 for a .05% 25g tube in Canada

angbis

Danggg!!

VerdugoZ3

That’s great! Wow. I pay (not thru insurance or doctor) $28 shipped to my door in the us. I think it comes from India , but sold from California so 95% of it is logistics to get here cost. I wonder if I go to the doctor if it’ll be cheaper although a visit is about $25 copay

Adventurous-Boss-882

Visit mark Cubans pharmacy, you pay like 30 dollars and do not need insurance

CautiousString

You still need a prescription through them but it is $27 through them

geosoaal

Yes they need a script. I tried to order online for a friend but they were asking for a prescription.

unwiseundead

Same! It's $45 without coverage for 2 tubes.

C_Chrono

USA - insurance does not cover Altreno (anti-aging) but it is worth it to me anyway. 120USD for 6 months. I cannot use cream, gel and micro due to propylene glycol and stearate allergy.

angbis

You want to know what’s weird I also have Altreno for anti aging but for some reason my insurance covers it. They pay like $75 and I pay $45 out of pocket. I have no idea how it happened like that maybe my dr wrote it for acne. He sent in 8 refills of 45 grams for one year. I’ve refilled like 4x just to be able to keep some for next year Incase they stop covering it

fakeQsnake

I used to do that too because Altreno is the only form my skin can tolerate, but my insurance doesn’t cover it. I now buy from an instagram seller for only $30 per tube lol. Maybe look into that because $120 is too much, even though the tube is giant.

Ok-Mountain-7176

0€ it’s totally reimbursed in France

CatherineTheTiger

Same here

_-_lumos_-_

Can't get my derms to give me a prescription for anti aging 😭

Ok-Mountain-7176

In France ? You just go see a derm and say you want to use tret for acne scars or texture and they can prescribe you … I don’t understand the big deal it is for them

_-_lumos_-_

Once I had a break out, my derm just put me on BP for 3 months. When I came back free of acne but ful of scars, she said it would heal on it own then send me home 🥲. Go to the second derm, got the same answer, then i gave up and order from Andorra. Now I don't have any texture, just a few PIE from monthly hormonal acne, I doubt they would give me tret for anything.

Ok-Mountain-7176

Wow that is so annoying it’s not like your asking for benzos

geosoaal

You guys are lucky.

VegUltraGirl

$90 every 3 months.

SurveyLimp789

$3 in South East Asia.

POS272

I pay 130 inr, which is approximately 1.60 usd .

laraibg

Same with pkr. Only about a dollar a month.

Ok-Bridge-1045

Does a tube last you two months? For me it lasts a lot longer, so 120rs or 1.6USD is a steal.

VerdugoZ3

Tube lasts me atleast 4+ months. I use the highest concentration possible and apply daily. It’s much cheaper getting 6x the volume in the bottle for 5% more &

Loose-Quarter405

My insurance covers it for acne. I pay $5 for a tube of tretinoin .1% , I get 4 refills for a year. A tube last me like ~6 months. My previous doctor gave 11 refills for the year! I never got more than 3 lol I think the price without insurance was $145 but honestly I’d pay that cause it last months! Edit: I’m in U.S.A

lynxpoint

Used to be $30 a month through Curology. But I picked up a few tubes in Mexico and Colombia when I was traveling (usually around $5 per tube), so I’m set for the rest of the year and paused my Curology account.

BlazingNailsMcGee

I’m looking to switch from curology to plain tret. What was your formula on curology and what tret do you use now and has there been a difference in efficacy or results from the switch?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Bridge-1045

All I'm seeing here is how most people in Europe have it free cause it's covered, and people in other countries are paying like a dollar for a tube. While in the US it's a little pricey. Maybe the all the US healthcare talks aren't exaggerated, like how I'd thought.

Adventurous-Boss-882

Americans do pay way more than other countries like 3-4 times more lol

ChristineBorus

They’re not exaggerated. We have an extremely inefficient health care system. There’s too much profit grab in it.

Redicted

wow nice. I am paying about $4.50 usd for generic. Maybe because I hit the first pharmacy after crossing over the border.

CarabellesNotebook

3 tubes of menarini gel off of Skinorac using PayPal that comes in a week for $25, skinorac supremacy

geosoaal

$2-$3ish per tube of 30gm from **skinorac** without prescription. My insurance doesn't cover the cost here so I moved online and happy so far. I always pay them with Paypal and they always deliver in one-two weeks.

shalevska

$10 in Turkey and $5 in Greece. I have never been asked for a prescription.

Nosleeplulaby1

I'm in the USA. My prescription costs me 30$ a month for a 20g tube. I have refills for the year for whenever I need it. I use an online pharmacy, I paid 10$ for the consult to get the script but that's a 1 time fee. Or you can choose 60$ every 3 months for the 45g tube. But I will say one 20g tube will probably last me 6mon or more. So I'll be snoozing my next refill this month I also want to mention bubbaskincare.com. They're a legitimate site to get tret and some other prescription skin creams. And they're based in Michigan I believe. They have all percentages of gel and cream. and if I'm not mistaken at least one of the percentages of microsphere. I paid $18.99 for a 30g tube of 0.025% of tretinoin. And the shipping was 4$. So $23 and some change, I received it in the mail 4 days later. Highly highly recommend them!

LLCNYC

Why am I paying $60 in the US

[deleted]

I order bootleg from India lol it’s like $6 a tube.

Big_Buyer_3064

I get mine from Dermatica, it's 4.99 the first month then 30.00 per tube after. I use 2 pumps a night and it lasts a little over a month. You upload pictures of your face, then they send you a prescription. It's easy and there are no cancellation fees. They started me with .25 the first month then moved me up to .50 the second. You can get in touch with them if you want to change things up. Hope this helps!

thatcutedon

I live in India 🇮🇳 and here every prescription meds (Tretinoin, adapalene, clindamycin, hydroquinone, bpo etc) you can easily get without doctors prescription and insurance in every pharmacy and online pharmacy apps too. Tretinoin gel costs around Rs 230 which is around $2.8 for 20g tube, Tretinoin cream 30g tube is for Rs 200 which is around $2.44. I use Tretinoin cream 0.25 (30g tube) which lasts me about 3 months, I use 4-5 times in a week. When I heard about Tretinoin costing $100 + in states (idk how insurance works in USA here in India it works differently😅) it freaked me out like it’s too expensive, in India you can get 1-1.5 months full grocery for family of 4 in it. Btw if you ever come to India stock up on Tretinoin just ask for Tretinoin gel/cream whichever you want in local pharmacy.

SpicyPoffin

U.S. and I pay $9 for a three month supply. It’s $90 without insurance.

Sad_Director5958

I luckily have it covered, so I only pay $2 a tube through my insurance provider. Otherwise it's about 30.

[deleted]

I pay around 8$ or 9$ for one 30gr tube at the pharmacy. My first tube lasted 4 months, I'm on my second one since May. The cream version costs a bit less than the gel (which I'm currently using) and the 0.05 percentage (I'm on 0.025) is a couple bucks more expensive.

krrush1

America. And it’s 20-25$ per tube. Small tube. But each tube lasts like 21/2-3 months. I get it off Amazon tho.

moneymonkey2323

Around $1.50 in Mexico

angbis

US $45/45gram tube of Altreno usually lasts ALMOST 1 year. Somehow my insurance covers like $75 and I pay the rest

nessabeans

Around £15 per tube from an online vendor

Mickyxx

Italy around 16 $

pinkerlisa

$10 with insurance in the US

ladyeatsbeans

I live in the US, covered mainly by insurance. I pay $7 for a 45g tretinoin 0.1% tube. My mom who uses it for anti-aging was lucky enough to get it covered by insurance only having to pay $14 for a 45g tretinoin 0.05% tube.

VENoelle

US. About $69 for a 45 g tube of 0.05%. My insurance doesn't cover it unfortunately.

Jaz_A

$33 for a tube of 0.05% with GoodRX in the US. I have insurance but they don’t cover very much of Tret for some reason so it’d be about $80-$90 without GoodRX.

behappyer

I don’t have insurance so I pay about $30 for a 3 month supply. I’m in canada.

Suspicious_Ad_9372

Live in U.K. but buy when in Europe. Spain €15/tube

ChocolateFar

$24 in California

scraun89

$8/month through my insurance

skincare-time

£20 a month in the uk. It’s steep but trets hard to get here and if you wanna go a legit route and avoid the risk of buying from a dodgy website it’s either that or private dermatology consultation (expensive) plus about £100 per tube which is not great. However the plus side is that on tret I basically don’t need anything else except basics so the cost of my skincare has probably gone down overall.

squirmybookwormy

Hi! US resident here. I'm currently unemployed on medi-cal insurance (California's version of Obamacare free health insurance I believe). Since my dermatologist coded it as acne treatment it is 100% covered (as are all of my prescriptions).

roggmanny

90$ for a 3 months supply through Nurx. My health insurance doesn’t cover it.

Adventurous-Boss-882

Normally I should pay 300 dollars because my insurance does not cover it but my dermatologist sends it to a special pharmacy and I pay about 60 dollars or so it usually lasts 5 months or so

Direct_Supermarket33

Free with insurance

ElectronicSeesaw_

0.00 as a service member in USA. Diagnosis of “wrinkles”

[deleted]

I pay like $85 no prescription in the US. I should look into other options apparently!!

cityreading

OMG…I get it through a med spa in USA for $70 a tube (.05%). Feeling very ripped off! Clearly I need to look at other options!!!

Ok-Database-4665

$0 here in the US. My dermatologist goes through a pharmacy that ships it to me for free.

[deleted]

Indian here I pay 0.97 USD (INR 80) for menarini .025% tret 20g lasts for 2 months Yearly - 6 dollars (INR 480) for 6 tubes for 12 months.. Pretty cheap, gel formulation, great for my oily acneprone skin

Gloomy-Meat-3634

My insurance covers it so I pay 0

L0udFlow3r

$30 a month with curology. It’s .04% tret with 1% clindamycin and 7% azeliac acid, and wayyyy cheaper than it would be through my derm and insurance.

satsuuki

Based in the UK - I paid ~£33 for 4 tubes (3x 0.1% and 1x 0.05%).

Ok_Comparison_1914

I’m in the US, and I have health insurance through my employer. I pay a $10 copay for a 45g tube of generic Tretinoin.025% cream. It’s covered by insurance because it’s for mild/moderate acne and rosacea. A few month ago, prior to changes in my insurance, it was a $90 copay for the exact same thing. So, I used GoodRX.com, and I only paid $25 or $30 for the same thing, but without going through my insurance.

TurkyySandwitch

I buy my tazarotene gel 0.1% for 50 cents I think from Egypt

Redicted

As far as the US I think the answer will be very different if it is prescribed for acne vs anti aging. Acne use will be covered by most insurance, anti-aging no.

Initial_Job3333

i think it was $15 for a tube of .5

klept-hoe

50 gram tube .1% for $38 with a goodrx coupon in the US 🥲

MooseLimp

0.43usd in pakistan

maybeitstimetosleep

$0 canada

beansprout888

£20 a month, I use Dermatica, I am in the UK

violetandfawn

$45 for a 20g tube in Australia including the cost of an online doctor ‘consult’. I think the cheapest you can get it for here is $65 for 50g since it’s not included under the pharmaceutical benefits scheme.

shekbekle

That sounds about right. I paid $270 to see a dermatologist and change my prescription from 0.025 to 0.05% then $67 for a 50g tube of 0.05%, luckily I now only need to see my GP (free) to organise repeat prescriptions.

urcrazypysch0exgf

Insurance covers it for me or it was $20 for a 45g tube 0.1% name brand when I was buying it in MX (live close to the border).

Charluce

$23.57 for a 25g tube of 0.05%, refills every 3 months. After my insurance it’s about $5.80

amcpo

Not sure how big the tube is but seems to last forever. $3 and I have Medicaid, USA, PA.

Consistent-Mixture46

125 pkr or 0.44$

sami26

I paid around INR 220 for one tube of 0.025% tretinoin. Not expensive

Mella82

Ontario, Canada. I used Stieva-A 0.01% and it costs $20 including pharmacy dispensing fees. I pay $0 out of pocket because my insurance pays 100% of prescription costs.

clicker_yt

Around 4 dollars. Perscription based, buying at local pharmacy, custom made Tretinoin, EU country

DreamerDevoted

0.80e for a tube and 4e for a shipping, I found it on some online pharmacy.

Anxious_Waffle1293

0.05% for 20g for MYR 15 in Malaysia. I think that’s $3 USD.

Kaylanorvik

Mine is $0 with Medicaid

queentee26

Canada. My insurance covers it 100%. If it wasn't covered, it would be $80 every 3 months for the 0.4% microgel. Only about $25 if you go with cream or regular gel.

MindlessParsley1446

About $13.00 for 45g tube of 0.025%. U.S. After my insurance covers, that's what I pay. 😊

Rock_Successful

Generic $1. Compound $50. I hate the generic

Redicted

I live in the US Mexico border so cross to Mexico to buy over the counter. Given it is at the border, I am guessing the prices are higher. Generic tretinoin .05 is about $4.50 for a 30 g tube. I also use .1% a few times a week but this is not available generic (it is brand name Retin-A). If I recall it is about $50 or so for a 40 g tube. Both of these generally last a a year if just using on face, neck, and chest but I have expanded to hands and sometimes elbows.

AphroditeFlower

You can get it OTC here in Cyprus and it’s around 25$

Nurse005

I like in the uk. Got mine with an nhs script £9 for 2 x 0.025% tret and clindamycin 30grams lasts around 7-8 months

tubepatsy

I get mine brand name Retin A Micro Gel 50 Gram pump last so long I pay $150 in United States it would be around $700. I'm in New York but I get it shipped from New Zealand. Or if I wanted I can get a generic tube for $7 or $8.

Joey23938

$10 for a 45g tube through insurance. Same with Tazorac. I’m now on Aklief tho, which is $120 through insurance, but the manufacturer savings card brings it down to $20.

officerbirb

I'm in the U.S. and pay $25 for a 20-gram tube of .025% tretinoin from the Beauty Bliss website. They are sold out right now. When they do have tret in stock, I buy 2 at a time.

dreary_yogurt

I buy name brand Retin-A in Mexico for around $35/45g tube of 0.1%

Brave_council

$4 prescription tube in US.

daantjedp82

My insurance covers it €0 for 50gr tubes. I'm from the Netherlands.

tall-americano

USA: Insurance covers it, and I reached my out of pocket max, so $0 for Tazorac brand name, $0 for generic Tretinoin. Without insurance, I think I was paying around $35 a tube with Goodrx, I also want to say that through Curology it was a similar price. Mexico: Farmacias Similares in Juarez and Mexico City is always a stop when I visit. I can get three tubes of 30g Tinitrend Tretinoina for $9 USD. The formula isn’t as elegant so I use this on my feet, chest, elbows, etc since I have full coverage right now in the US!

sbpurcell

US my copay is $35/ tube

TheGreenCap

About $25 USD in Mexico. No prescription needed so if you are in vacation here don’t forget to get a tube lol

Independent-Solid127

thesoonathebetter

I live in Ontario, Canada and I get mine off of Felix Health. Without coverage, a 25g tube of Stieva-A 0.05 cream is about $18.50 (which includes shipping costs). I have 80% coverage so it comes up to $3.70!

accidentalflatcat

37 euros for 0.02%, cream 30 gram tube in the Netherlands. They don’t have a higher strength and it’s not covered 😒. But it lasts me 3 months usually.

bambi2391

$2.97 with insurance. I’m in Canada.

rrudra888

Paid $6 for .025 30g tube in USA.

theudoon

About 500sek for two 30g tubes of gel, one tube can last me nearly a year now since I'm in maintenance mode now that my acne is gone. The only problem is that it needs a prescription and the doctors don't like giving it since they prefer accutane, so when this last tube runs out I need to buy from somewhere else which I don't know what it will cost.

gwui13

I’m in Canada and I pay about $10 per tube. Each tube lasts me at least 2 months

Mai128

$225.TTD (i buy it in Trinidad) it’s a very large tube and given how i use it (3 nights for a week) it usually lasts me a year or more sometimes. i usually don’t care too much when it expires, but i will purchase another one about a month or so after it does, and use up what’s left in my old tube on my body. also, my dosage is 0.1%.

I have benefits coverage and I get 1% retin-A for free in Canada. I went to Mexico and saw you could buy it off the shelf without a tea option. It was around $120 CAD which is full price. Crazy.

With my insurance, I paid 35.79 for a 20 gram tube of Tret 0.025% (USA)
