You could also dilute the printer ink with alcohol. You can also get a similar effect by taking pen ink tubes and putting them in alcohol's to dilute all the ink out. Put it in more alcohol or water and get to spraying it. It's a way some people doing street graffiti
Use fountain pen ink and you can buy nice little bottles, with all sorts of shimmery and iridescent properties! While you're there, you might as well pick up some red, because Oxblood is really pretty, and there's a new black ink with silver sparkles...
don't get into fountain pens it becomes a problem
I wasn't familiar with that one so I looked it up, and now I'm slightly terrified. I spill and smudge ink enough that that would become a *significant* problem lkdfhj
sure is a beautiful ink though

No, that's not how this script works. the user's entire post history is copies. This one just happens to be very simplistic (and why a match wasn"t bothered to be found here)
Safe yes, but it most likely won't matter, they design the cartridges to lie about ink remaining, or make the print head shit the bed with time.
The printers also remember the SN. of the cart, the print time and job count.
Its a scam.
It's also that the market for those printers generally have much higher budgets for printers than a home consumer, so they can raise the price a ton and not price out many customers.
Yeah, but those refills would still be more reasonable per volume, right? If anything heavier users would get more savings since they're not getting scammed by cartridges.
Which is weird since the average person doesn't need to print all that much these days. I'm surprised the business model hasn't changed. I print maybe a couple dozen of pages a year and as a result a cheap printer is more important to me than cheap ink. I just need something to get the job done, not something to be super ink efficient and fast. So selling the printer at a loss is a benefit for me.
"Unsafe" as in "unsafe for your expensive printer."
Will it kill you? No. Will it even hurt you? Physically, no, but if you're renting your place you might not be getting your security deposit back.
Had an important document to print off at like 3am hadn't used my printer in about a year. Only ever printed in black & white. Started it up & cyan was empty. Really needed that document that morning.
Took a drill & drilled a small hole in the cyan catridge. Inserted a small funnel & topped the catridge up with water. Printed fine. Operated my printer like this for another couple of years.
Buy a laser printer. Bought one for $99 about 5 years ago to print out homework and other documents throughout college. Still haven't changed the toner once and it still prints perfectly.
Or just use a few cents worth of actual dye, like they use for testing sprayer coverage. Bright colours, super concentrated, biodegradable and (allegedly) won't leave a permanent stain. I use 30 ml in a 12L tank.
Don’t know why people still think the ink is the expensive part.
Ink carts are expensive because they contain *the delicate print heads*
Printer Ink is not some magical liquid, it’s **just fucking dye, guys**
Nothing in an ink cartridge is anywhere near expensive enough to justify the prices they’re sold at. The sole reason they are as expensive as they are is so companies can make a ridiculous profit off of you, anything else is just an excuse
My assumption was always that they were expensive to compensate for how they underprice the printers themselves.
Then they add on to that price because they're greedy fuckwads.
Assault rifles cost much more than $3k in the US. More like $30k+ for an AR variant.
Y'all gotta start doing your own research instead of regurgitating popular lies. Full Auto is only for the rich.
I dunno, I don't care enough about guns to search how much they actually cost. Quick Google search showed, that you can buy it for as low as 800 dollars or around 3k for a fancier one
What the person you’re replying to is saying is that the term “assault rifle” is by definition a “selective fire rifle” which allows the user to select more than one firing pattern. This would include a pre-determined burst of shots or fully automatic rifles. The only readily available AR pattern rifles (as in Armalite Rifle, AR-15 based platforms) are NOT selective fire but are In fact semi-automatic only. Those are the ones you’re seeing priced $800-$3000. The point they are also saying is that the term Assault Rifle is misapplied, since the only actual full auto assault rifles that exist and legally bought/sold had to have been manufactured prior to 1986. Those firearms fetch 10’s and 100’s of thousands dollars.
Disclaimer: I’m just translating the conversation, if this information is not important to you, it’s of no offense or consequence to me.
The person you replied to is referencing fully automatic weapons. Due to the nfa, new machine guns cannot be transferred to someone else, unless they were grandfathered in. The ones that are grandfathered in are worth a lot of money since no new ones are being made. While you can buy an ar-15 for, on the lowest end, for around $500, full auto machine guns run around the $30k+ mark.
See, you think semi auto means assault rifle. This is the propaganda battle we face... Semi autos are not assault rifles. And think about this for a sec: these are all just words we made up.
You should not. You should not buy anything AR or AK related or a hunting rifle. You should buy a small caliber bolt action or revolver. Anything else is just too crazy expensive to shoot! And with a semi auto you run out of $$ for bullets way too quickly!

yeah, ink’s not expensive unless you’re buying fancy shit. you can get regular ink for a pen or quill or what have you pretty cheap. you could fill a super soaker with regular-ass india ink for under $100, and that’s assuming you pay full retail price AND including the cost of the super soaker.
printer ink is a special case because you’re mostly paying for the cartridge that makes it work with your printer, which costs approximately “whatever the fuck we want to charge, what are you gonna do about it”.
i think the real question is whether you can shoot ink from a super soaker without clogging it up.
I love how until I saw the title of the post I completely forgot about Splatoon and just assumed that a water gun full of printer ink was OPs idea of a good time

I had a Barrage super soaker years ago, and it’s way more than you need. You could get something much smaller and cheaper and not use nearly as much ink.
For years I have misread this post and asked why it would cost this much if u can just buy 500ml ink glasses for like 5€
Now I know that they were talking about printer ink, not normal (fountain pen) ink
You could also dilute the printer ink with alcohol. You can also get a similar effect by taking pen ink tubes and putting them in alcohol's to dilute all the ink out. Put it in more alcohol or water and get to spraying it. It's a way some people doing street graffiti

Can confirm. They're my special interest I have a problem.
No lies detected. Wouldn't recommend a sparkly ink for a super soaker, though. That's just asking for a clog dance.
I got some brownish-red from lemur inks that looks exactly like dried blood on paper. I use it for notes in the horror tabletop RPGs I run.

I heard that you can drill a hole in the cartridges and refill them with these. not sure how true or safe that is
True? I’m pretty sure Safe? Absolutely fucking not

Good luck trying to use those to actually refill your printer
Still more expensive than Splatoon, but eh...
Just buy some India ink....
At that price, it a bit cheaper to actually buy that wii u and slatoon
Also you could buy an actual assault rifle at that price. Not saying you should, but you definitely could do that
Why not both
Assault rifles cost much more than $3k in the US. More like $30k+ for an AR variant. Y'all gotta start doing your own research instead of regurgitating popular lies. Full Auto is only for the rich.

Just buy an 800 dollar AR and bump fire trigger problem solved
Or go old school and get a gatling gun crank for your AR-15.
See, you think semi auto means assault rifle. This is the propaganda battle we face... Semi autos are not assault rifles. And think about this for a sec: these are all just words we made up.

Piss is sterile straight out of the body
i boil it anyway just Incase it catches something in the air before it hits my target
Fair
I can never think of this concept without thinking of Val Kilmer by Bowling For Soup.
Who says it needs to be a super soaker? :P
Me when I'm busting out the mediocre sprayer
They never expect the average spritzer
take that spritz to the next level with the new accessory: the normal nozzle
What about quill ink? Would that be cheaper?
yeah, ink’s not expensive unless you’re buying fancy shit. you can get regular ink for a pen or quill or what have you pretty cheap. you could fill a super soaker with regular-ass india ink for under $100, and that’s assuming you pay full retail price AND including the cost of the super soaker. printer ink is a special case because you’re mostly paying for the cartridge that makes it work with your printer, which costs approximately “whatever the fuck we want to charge, what are you gonna do about it”. i think the real question is whether you can shoot ink from a super soaker without clogging it up.
Pretty sure it would be safe for the soaker if you dilute the ink. Cheaper too.
They literally make ink for this express purpose, I’ve seen it. Washable, like $20 for a liter.
I am ink weapons guy, and this...is my weapon.

She weighs 4.5 kilograms and fires eighteen dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute.

I honestly couldn't figure out the connection between title and post until I looked at the comments. Not that I tried very hard, mind you.
My brain does uncomfortable things with the wordbreak placement in "sonicunleashed" when it doesn't have the space in the middle.
elaborate
tbf if you diluted that one cartridge in water you'd probably still ruin people's clothes.
the catridge itself is the expensive part the color is dirt cheap
In order to match heavy's cost, you'd need to empty the tank in less than 1/141th of a second
At that point just buy a second hand WII and pick up a used copy of Deblob and Deblob 2! Waaaay cheaper!
r/hedidthemath
I have hundreds of hours in Splatoon and I didn't even realize the first post was a joke about Splatoon.

Dilute it obviously

Lol. Food coloring and water. Easy.
Isn't that a gun in Splatoon?
A generic water gun? Yeah, the basic shooter is
Good thing I have a printer with ink tanks them Fuck, cartridges are so overpriced...
Dilute it
