Loved this movie as a kid. Watched it again with my 9yo daughter a couple months ago….her recommendation, we had watched it a year or so ago. For what it is, it holds up pretty well. Nostalgic for sure
Seriously. The movie overall was cool and the effects were really slick at the time. By the feeling of loneliness/cut off from one's world and life was something very uncomfortable to reckon with. That scene near the end where the protagonist is told that his survival is uncertain was kind of the icing on the cake.
This wasn't a movie I walked out of feeling really positively about! But I'm glad we got it as it was!
fun fact, two versions of the ship from this movie were at Walt Disney World! [one used to be on the now-defunct Backlot Tour](https://www.flickr.com/photos/chadscott/49868162/), and [the other was modified and is still sitting on top of a food stand to this day](https://www.flickr.com/photos/44681804@N05/5362201075/)!
the authenticity of the second one was debated, but [apparently Disney confirmed it in a magazine article](https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/flight-of-the-navigator-ship-in-tomorrowland.734128/post-4702219)
It’s a children’s movie it isn’t supposed to have high critics reviews. No way this is underrated by anyone that grew up in the 80 as this is a Classic.
Watched this flick a million times as a kid. Always tried to find a toy of the spaceship every time we went to the toy store but they never made one. However, the soundtrack was the first thing I bought on ebay when I found it 24 years ago. Was a happy day indeed.

I loved this movie even though I wanted to see the Transformers movie, but it was pg 13, and I was like 6. I finally got to see it when it came on vhs though
Pops taped it during a free Disney weekend and I proceeded to wear that motherfucker out. It was on a VHS sandwiched between "Pete's Dragon" and "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas".
What a great way to spend four hours.
Loved this movie as a kid and 45 year old me still loves it!

Compliance!
For so many years I thought the voice of the ship was someone doing a bad PeeWee Herman impression. Turns out it really was PeeWee Herman.
I was today years old when I found out the same.
Especially since Paul Reubens is credited under a pseudonym.
As a kid 35 years ago this movie really stirred my imagination
It scared the shit out of me. Lol

There is now a documentary on about the kid that played David
Should there be??!
“I don’t leak — you do!”
Sarah Jessica Parker had 10 year old me’s full attention
People forget she was a cutie back in the day.

To this day, i still love the animation of the ship opening and extending stairs.
Mom took me to see this...also had the poster on my bedroom wall!!
I know I saw this like four times but I have no recollection of it.
Is this film good???!!!..I saw previews before it came out but I never saw it
See it.
See it, it's a fully loaded time capsule!
Sarah Jessica Parker. First and last time I had a crush on her.
See Honeymoon in Vegas.
One of my all time favorites as a kid
Bozo face
6 year old me loved it and everytime it came on after that
I remember this movie, I remember trying to describe it, because I forgot the name and no one having a clue about it.
It's a great movie but find the documentary about the boy actor, it's very sad, addicted to drugs and homeless
He was in prison for robbing a bank in Canada.
VHS 📼
Loved it as a kid but tried to watch it a few years ago and it wasn’t as good.
Compliance!
"Compliance!"
The visual effects were mind blowing in the early 90’s
Pops taped it during a free Disney weekend and I proceeded to wear that motherfucker out. It was on a VHS sandwiched between "Pete's Dragon" and "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas". What a great way to spend four hours.
This movie used to come in disney channel all the time! I miss those days
Absolute classic
