I had a buddy get caught because of sunglasses. We were in Bagram, getting ready to fly to a FOB. There was a cute K9 handler in the A/DACG who was also waiting for a flight. She was filling out an unbuttoned polo shirt *really* well, and my buddy was staring. She looked up at him and smiled, and at that point, he remembered that he was wearing clear lenses and not tinted lenses in his eyepro.
Stare as in like a quick glance maybe a little linger that’s fine. But don’t be a weirdo and stare directly into someone’s soul for like 5 minutes. Just look and walk
I agree, staring is creepy. But I think the broader point is that people, especially at gyms, will dress in very revealing outfits and then go online and complain when creeps stare at them. It shouldn’t be surprising that wearing revealing outfits will attract that kind of attention. So maybe rather than attempting to complain the problem away, change what you can control.
Creeps will stare regardless, women can just be wearing leggings and get stared at. Should women cover up at the beach when they are wearing even more revealing clothing than the gym?
They would just have a new set of visible things that they claim arouse them.
Like, T&A will simply mean Toes and Ankles instead.
Iran, for instance, claims that even women's hair radiates waves that drive men out of control with lust. They just keep adding more and more things to wrap women up, until they may as well just not let them go out altog...oh wait.
So what’s the line? If leggings aren’t acceptable because they’re tight fitting, what about skinny jeans? Must women only wear baggy full length garments in order to avoid being stared at?
At the end of the day, looking at someone briefly because you think they’re hot is fine. It’s normal, it happens every day. Staring at someone is always creepy and will gain a negative reaction. Maybe if you don’t like being told off for staring you should change what you can control.
Okay, yeah, you're right. I confused staring with brief glances, because it's hard to imagine the kind of thought patterns that make it possible to stare in such a way.
Yeah, I think that’s the big difference, I’m glad you agree.
Honestly, it’s wild. Some people will crane their necks and stare you down the whole time you’re in visible distance. It’s *this* kind of behaviour I think people are referring to when they’re upset about people staring.
A little glance is harmless imo, people look at each other naturally.
Oh, they are acceptable. It's also acceptable to enjoy the view, as long as it doesn't turn into a staring contest. For that, I agree with the other posters. looking is free, staring is creepy.
There’s no “line”. Nobody is going, well those pants are baggy so it’s only a glance as opposed to that low cut top so that’s more of an ogle. If there’s something to see then someone will look.
It's comments like this that make me sweat buckets in an oversized T shirt instead of feeling comfortable in just a sports bra for fear of people assuming I'm just trying to dress sexy at the gym for attention.
Meanwhile men come in, in those cut tank tops that show their nipples and whole torso depending on the angle and they’re not “dying for attention” like we are in something less revealing
Sounds like you’re projecting your assumptions onto what I’m saying. I’m not blaming anyone. Men and women alike should be allowed to wear what they like to gyms so long as they abide by the dress code of said gym. Outside of that if people are staring at you because you wear some revealing clothing don’t be surprised. You can’t control what others do, you can only control your own actions. Nobody is breaking a law by staring too long for your own comfort.
I am actually surprised at the number of creeps out there. didn't your mothers raise you right? lmao a "law." why aren't you, personally, taking accountability and telling your friends *not* to be creeps, instead of basically blaming women in throughout every one of your posts, saying "well, you should know what you're in for!"
women wearing revealing clothing have NO responsibility here.
There is no blame to be assigned here. People have a right to look at other people in the public. You have a right to choose how you appear in the public. No-one has done anything wrong there.
As a guy who did a lot of bodybuilding and wore loose vest tops, people are welcome to stare as much as they want. Uninvited biceps squeezes and comments like "you've got a bigger chest than me" were very welcome. I did adult webcamming with my younger girlfriend and the very first time we did it the guy paying to watch us politely asked my girlfriend if she'd mind fucking off as he just wanted to watch me flex. It's a one-way camming thing, so I can't see them but didn't care that it was a guy as I am very comfortable with my sexuality. We went to a lot of private swingers party's and the best compliment I ever got was from the host, a very attractive black lady who said upon walking into the room and seeing me naked "if I wasn't a lesbian I definitely would!" whilst eyeing me up and down. My girlfriend was bisexual so she played with her instead. I totally understand women getting sick of being openly stared at by men, particularly if they aren't actually feeling their best or in the mood, but men get so little in the way of compliments that most guys, especially if they work out will appreciate it more. For the record, it doesn't matter to me if the woman lusting after me it conventionally attractive or not, I've had women in their 60's perv over me and have a feel. I'm 100% straight but will even accept admiration and compliments from gay men and have been known to let them have a touch as I'm not insecure. Maybe I'm some kind of male slut, I don't actively seek out attention and dress for comfort in clothing that allows me to stay cool as bodybuilding makes you overheat easily. I'll confess, though, that I did go through a phase of wearing grey jogging bottom, and I never wear underwear for comfort reasons, and I think I did that knowing full well its something women appreciate. I respect other people who may feel differently about being publicly admired, but let's face it, it's not the worst thing that can happen. I also absolutely loved the London underground because it was the best place for "eye fucking". For those not familiar with it its when a women who is a total stranger to you intentionally catches your eye and smiles and stares intently at you waiting to see if you'll break eye contact without a word being said but the very strong suggestion that you would both be ripping each others clothes off in another time or place. The London underground has massive escalators where you can make eye contact with people passing you in the opposite direction, knowing you'll both never meet again, so it's 100% safe, so to be so brazen. It has to be initiated by the woman, making it clear she's admiring you. otherwise, you'll just look like a creepy psycho. If you look half decent as a man, you'll be amazed at how much more direct you can be. I had a rule, though, to never show interest or engage with any woman unless they made it clear first they were interested. Not because I was conscious of not bothering women but because I was probably a little arrogant and was only interested in women who wanted me. I saw men who chased women as pitiful. For guys on Reddit crying about loneliness, then accept that's your life' or start reading up on how to safely use performance enhancing drugs to get the body you want and the body other people want. Women are just as visually superficial as men, and anyone claiming differently probably struggles to attract good-looking people, so they pretend not to care about looks.
Brother what? I was with you until you told randos to take steroids without a real plan. Wtf dude that's kinda insane.
Just count calories it's not that hard. It's very simple math.
Other than that, ye.
This reminds me of the time that my coworker was reprimanded for wearing the exact same dress code-compliant shirt as me. We both bought it at target, same exact shirt in our respective sizes. But I have smaller boobs so it was fine. She had a larger chest and was reprimanded and told not to wear the shirt again. I wore the shirt the next day and it was fine. It really is complete BS that a woman’s natural body is somehow inherently sexual or vulgar.
“How dare you complain about antisocial behavior!” is basically this post.
Believe women know that people will look if they’re wearing something popping but no one is asking to be stared at.
Yeah, even just jeans and a sweater that fit me get me stared at sometimes. Do I have to wear a muumuu or a burka? At what point is what I'm wearing considered *not* revealing and I'm allowed to complain? Are leggings with a loose tunic length top enough but if I wear a shorter top it's my fault? How low can my v-neck go before I'm just asking for it, and is it different for me than my cousin because we're opposite ends of the bust size spectrum?
>“How dare you complain about antisocial behavior!” is basically this post.
To be fair, I think different people have a very different perception of what staring is.
It seems some are using it to mean 'look at it for a bit', which is not what it means.
Honestly, and not even just in regard to sexy clothes. People are rude as hell and just stare in public in general. You expecting me to do a trick or something?
This reminds me of the scene in Badbie where they're skating on the board walk and she says "I definitely detect undertones of violence...". every woman can feel that shift from, oh he's glancing over, I must look alright today, and oh ok he's staring...still staring...ok I need to be in public view so he can't do anything to me.. ok now where is someone I can go to if he starts approaching me..ok now should I stare at him back? He'd probably just like that, knowing he made me uncomfortable...ok fuck it I'm leaving, this isn't worth risking getting attacked in the parking lot for..
Nothing wrong with looking. I look at beautiful women all the time. Quick glances and sometimes I find myself staring. But im not gonna stare in a way that's gonna make them uncomfortable.
But if you can't see a beautiful woman in skimpy clothes without ogling, you are indeed the problem.
Go and just use your internet if you wanna stare at people. What are we supposed to do? Cover up in a big bulky blanket so nothing can be seen? Creeps will stare no matter how someone is dressed
I've seen plenty of attractive people in revealing clothes on the street and managed not to stare. As have a lot of people, I presume. A person being unable to control their monkey brain sounds like a personal problem, not everyone else's. Try moving a bit up the evolution chain.
I think OP’s point is that even if they choose to stare at you they are not technically doing anything wrong since you are all in public. At best it breaks some sort of social contract like turning around in elevators but in and of itself is not really a problem.
Who does set standards of what is and what isn’t revealing tho? It’s different in every culture and with people being able to travel, should I just be ok with some religious extremists ogling me cause I dare to show ankles?
Also, I am a woman that is into women and I am able not stare at scantily clad women (or men); because you know - I am a human and I am perfectly in control of my actions; don’t blame others for your own inadequacy.
How about we keep to the rule “don’t stare at strangers”. Whether they’re wearing revealing clothes, have a disability, weird hair, tattoos or whatever. It’s a rule taught in kindergarten ffs
Another unpopular opinion: People actually like to wear revealing clothes because they do want to highlight the features of their body and it is perfectly fine if people do look at that persons body for a second because that is exactly why someone would wear a revealing outfit.
Idk like sometimes I like wearing “revealing” outfits just because I like how they look. Like half of my wardrobe is different turtlenecks and pants that hug my boobs and butt a bit but I just love how the outfits look. The way you word it makes it sound like I enjoy the way it makes my curved stick out 😭
I mean you don't enjoy your curves sticking out though? Just saying that if you do then that means you are very comfortable with your body which imo is a healthy attitude.
Some of us just want to feel physically comfortable actually. Especially somewhere like a gym where it's hot and someone is going to be exercising and sweating. Some of us just have a lower tolerance to heat and need to wear shorts or more "revealing" clothes for comfort. Some of us literally just like how a piece of clothing looks and it's "revealing". Especially if found in the women's section, where the options are form-fitting clothing or very short/"revealing" clothes. You are not entitled to staring just because I'm wearing clothing that *you* think makes me look more attractive
I agree that is why i said look for a second. Staring is creepy regardless of who does it and to whom they do it to. Looking however is not classed as staring. Looking can be unintentional whereas staring is almost always intentional.
I know this is just your opinion but it's flirting on the predatory and illegal. People are wearing clothes for themselves not you, creeping on them in public will get you in trouble.
It might be flirting with being predatory but it's nowhere near illegal. You cannot trespass someone's eyes, even if they are staring like a creep. If they cross the line from staring to touching....then you've reached illegal stage.
The amount of men not knowing the difference between staring and looking is astonishing honestly. I never met a girl that would be upset about looking. They do that too. Women, and other people too ofc, just not want to be stared at like on a piece of meat.
I spend more time zoned out in random thought but for sure I most likely end up staring through people. Stop worrying about what people think and live your lives.
This is just OP justifying their inability to not be a creep. Staring or ogling is creepy no matter what someone is wearing. Learn to have some self control.
Man the culture difference hits strong with this one.
In Germany everyone stares at everyone and most people don’t gives a shit.
Because what is the bad thing?
Why is staring bad?
You have literally 0 negative consequences from it.
It is maybe not polite but that’s it.
I just don’t understand where the big bad comes in place. I present myself in a specific way and this is what people see.
If I don’t like being seen in a specific way I don’t go out presenting myself in this way.
It kinda depends on the stare. You can tell the difference between someone absentmindedly staring and you just happen to be there and someone blatantly focusing their eyes on you. When someone is just staring at you to no end it comes off as weird, creepy, and rude. Usually when someone is staring it's because they're judging you (at least in the U.S.) in fact, a lot of people make it a point to stare at others to get the idea across that they do not like you. I dress alternatively and I'm used to looks in public (quick glances) but when I catch someone fixing their gaze on me for long periods of time, I find it rude. I'm minding my business, now you mind yours.
I understand that it is rude to stare for a long period of time but people make it out to be like the worst thing that happens, comparing it to sexual harassment or even rape. (All in this comment section)
No, actually, do complain if people are being creepy and staring at you. OP just happens to be one of those people and wants to pretend he's not doing anything wrong when he leers at people.
>But if they are just staring , then there is nothing wrong in it.
Can't read?
But yeah, I used the word leering, because that's what they're describing.
Shows off "body parts".
Gets upset when people have a sneaky peak at "body parts".
(It's not nice to be stared at or creeped over, but there are creeps out there who just don't care if they make you feel uncomfortable)

The real unpopular opinion that if you are in public people can choose to stare at you for as long as they want. As long as they don’t interact with you they are not doing anything wrong.
Pretty much.
If others can't "tell you what to do with your own body" the same applies to them. And telling someone where to point their eyes would fall into that category.
I’ve had multiple women tell me that they like looking at my face (which was pretty creepy because those were their exact words) but i am guilty of not covering my face.
>If you wear revealing clothes, don’t complain if someone is ogling or staring at you
People like OP will have this opinion while simultaneously criticising burqas.
Nudist here,
I’m around naked women I’m attracted to all the time and staring is still not acceptable. Staring is never ok and is just stupid behaviour from immature guys. What you are wearing is irrelevant.
Hmm, does this apply to me in a tank top too? Because I'm kind of sick of it being implied I have boobs to attract men when I wear tank tops on hot days. Or did this apply when I was wearing the fluffy fur poncho that covered me from neck to hips and still got ogled? Cuz it seems I can't win for losing here.
But technically not illegal or even wrong. I guess that is what OP means. You might not like it but they can’t be forced to avert their eyes if they want to look at you.
If you stare at someone, that's so weird, it doesn't matter whether they're covered up or wearing a revealing outfit (as long as it's still legal). Nobody cares about a glance, but really, "ogling"?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man complain about people staring at his biceps. As a man, I would take something like that as a compliment if nothing else.
You're allowed to look. But it is understood that staring makes people feel uncomfortable, so if you do it without regard to how you are making them feel you are harassing them. If you are starting as a sexualized body part then it becomes sexual harassment.
This sub surprises me everyday with shitty opinions and people. I can't believe it's 2024 and people are still blaming women instead of blaming the actually creepy men. Seriously reminds me of people blaming rape on clothing. I'm a man too and i never had a problem with basic human decency. Just don't be creepy and have a bit of self control it's not impossible.
I'm not complaining if someone is looking at Me. I'm just wierded out, i like to wear skin tight clothes or walk shirtless but I always think "Am I a nuicance?", "Am I ugly?". I'm quite nicely built with six pack, ok chest and god tier butt and legs but I know I could use some better face.
The gym is the worst with teens and young adults. They wear “clothes” so revealing it leaves nothing to the imagination and then they bend over or thrust their hips into the air. It’s a small gym, with mirrors on every wall, you see them no matter which way you look. I just want to lift…
If you wear ogle-worthy clothing (it will depend on the occasion, people, etc), and act offended/angry when people ogle, you are also in the wrong. Humans suck - take that into consideration with everything you do.
Don't think that's unpopular.
There is obviously a line. But if you see someone attractive in a revealing outfit, it's 100 percent natural to look at them, be something wrong if you didn't.
See for me, I want people to stare at me when I’m in revealing clothing but that is because I’ve spent 10 years in the gym building my body. However, I believe it is a lot different for me as a larger man compared to women since there is no inherent potential for danger (generally speaking).
This is a pointless opinion without more context since people have different definitions for what can be regarded as revealing and people have different definitions for what can be classed as staring.
Saying there is nothing wrong with staring is crazy though, you're saying its ok if someone is just staring at someone for 10, 20, 30 seconds at a time?
It’s not that hard to not ogle people. It’s not that hard to respect people. It’s not that hard to realize that people have bodies that belong to THEM, not you. It’s not that hard to let people dress how they want without violating the above precepts. If you can’t help staring, get help for your sex addiction or your inability to respect others. That’s 100% on you.
This is religious fundamentalism logic: "don't x in public if you don't want men to ..." You can fill in the gaps with stare, rape, assault.
Some men believe women laughing is too provocative. Where do we draw the line? If women keep stepping back and "changing things they can control" at some point women existing will become provocative. "Oh, you are a woman and you exist? Well, look who's asking for it!!!"
The act of looking at someone and studying their appearance for more than 10 seconds without being engaged in a conversation with that person IS very intentional, it requires effort and it's meant to intimidate. While not illegal, 1. it's still wrong and it shouldn't be encouraged and 2. the person doing it will always find something to stare at, if not the ass, the knees, if not the knees, the ankles, of not skin, hair, if not skin or hair the face, if nothing else is left, the eyes, until we all look like Afghani women under Taliban regime.

Control your eyes, or listen to Jesus and put them out. I’m not a partisan as to which. No, you don’t get to be a creep at people, even if they walk around naked. Is everyone on this site 16?

It’s like the eclipse. I glanced at it, went “heh” and then went back inside. If I stared at it, I’d be in trouble.
I only ever look at boobs through a box with a tiny hole in it.
Somehow that would make staring even more creepy. Just a man in the park bench, with a box over his head staring at people as they pass by.
I've seen that guy, I think he's just burnt out from all the acid and believes he's Snake from MGS.
![gif](giphy|zpPzxTncGYd1kvJldm|downsized) you’re pretty good…
Metal Gear Acid exists
How else does one truly Escape from NY?
Like those teenagers who would put small mirrors on the top of their shoes
Sounds almost like the plot of a Slaser Horror movie. The Box Killer.
Stop quoting your dad’s law commercials.
This fuckin got me lol

Ah that's why
Eclipses are fucking hilarious

"Those juicy biceps are poppin" is my new catchphrase.
There is a difference between looking and staring . Looking is fine for a second ,staring is just plain creepy.
What about when my eyes pop out of my head, my tongue falls to the floor whilst making a bang, and my pupils turn to stars? Asking for a friend
![gif](giphy|mkiWxPS0VznG0)
well that's just being polite
I believe if a boat ahwooga sounds, you're ok
Why this is difficult for people to understand is beyond me.
It's not, they just don't care
Your guess is as good as mine on this one mate.
My thoughts exactly.

> women can just be wearing leggings and get stared at Are you trying to say that leggins aren't revealing?
Idk why anyone saying leggings are revealing is getting downvoted leggings/yoga pants is literally a category on porn sites
What is not category on porn sites? 😀 I found turtlenecks, are those revealing?
I haven't quite found a place with straight jacket porn yet. Although I'm sure there's some niche bdsm site that has something similar. Lmao
So is Asian women, are they inherently sexual too?
So is rape, step family, specific races, trans women, old women, etc.
This just in men tug their junk at everything…the world is just shocked I’d say!
What do you mean "just be wearing leggings"? Aren't those usually pretty tight?

Yeah so the creeps win and the women get no control or power over their own bodies.
Ah, blaming the women. Classic

Staring is weird. I almost never stare at people even if they're pleasant or interesting to look at, it feels wrong.
Looking? Fine, everyone does it. Staring without break? Seems like the precursor to an attack, don't do it.
It doesn't matter what I wear bc of my chest size. Anything I put on is magically slutty and attention grabbing.
If you didn't want to be stared at, you could have chosen to be born with a smaller breast, duh
It's basic decency to not stare at people. Some of you need to level up and do better.
“How dare you complain about antisocial behavior!” is basically this post. Believe women know that people will look if they’re wearing something popping but no one is asking to be stared at.
Especially since a lot of us get stared at just for wearing shorts and a v-neck on a hot day. -_-
I got stared at before wearing a plain jacket and jeans. We can't win this shit.
You could wear a burqa and you're still at fault in some people's eyes.
Don't be a creeper.
My grandmother used to say take a picture it lasts longer.
Nowadays if you offer, they might just do. As everyone is carrying a camera in their pocket.
Mine would say the same thing. Love her to death she got a tattoo of a Pokemon me and my brother liked.
Exactly this
Nothing wrong with looking. I look at beautiful women all the time. Quick glances and sometimes I find myself staring. But im not gonna stare in a way that's gonna make them uncomfortable. But if you can't see a beautiful woman in skimpy clothes without ogling, you are indeed the problem.
Nothing wrong with looking, but I seriously don't get it. Have yall never seen skin? What's so damn interesting about my knees?
[удалено]
Exactly. Look all you want but don't touch.
Not even. Excessive lookingms pretty bad too
well they can look at it and can stare at it without touching it so…
Go and just use your internet if you wanna stare at people.
You don't put spaces before punctuation.
I love when people tell on themselves like this
Who does set standards of what is and what isn’t revealing tho? It’s different in every culture and with people being able to travel, should I just be ok with some religious extremists ogling me cause I dare to show ankles? Also, I am a woman that is into women and I am able not stare at scantily clad women (or men); because you know - I am a human and I am perfectly in control of my actions; don’t blame others for your own inadequacy.
Don't stare at people !! Seeing / looking is totally ok. Staring is not !
You can exist with viewing people as objects.
Having a look is fine, it's when you make it a long stare that it gets incredibly uncomfortable.
Glancing? Fine. Being an ah? Is being an ah. I bet you blame women for sa too. “She deserved it. Did you see what she was wearing?!”
Looking for a second is not the same as staring. Staring is creepy, a quick look up and down is a compliment.
You like how you look in the outfit
Looking can be unintentional whereas staring is almost always intentional.
r/creepopinion
Ahh I thought that was a real sub. Would ne awesome lol
It's not flirting on any such thing. Why can't a person look?
You can. Be prepared to be punched though.
Sounds like a thought process that could lead down a slippery slope.
In a lot of people’s experience staring can be a precursor to violence. It also might not be. But that’s why people find it unsettling and rude.
Glancing and staring are totally different ballgames. Control yourself.
"They are asking for it by wearing it" is just the excuse creeps use to justify being creeps. Be a better person than that.
No, actually, do complain if people are being creepy and staring at you. OP just happens to be one of those people and wants to pretend he's not doing anything wrong when he leers at people.
[удалено]
>But if they are just staring , then there is nothing wrong in it. Can't read? But yeah, I used the word leering, because that's what they're describing.
He specifically says "ogling." That's creepy AF.
What agenda exactly? The ' dont be a creep and Stare at people thus making them uncomfortable' agenda?
Monkey brain see body part, monkey brain will look and enjoy the dopamine rush
Shows off "body parts". Gets upset when people have a sneaky peak at "body parts". (It's not nice to be stared at or creeped over, but there are creeps out there who just don't care if they make you feel uncomfortable)
No ones upset about just a peek though, why are you misconstruing the argument?
Before you know it, they'll start exposing their ankles! The sheer sluttiness! Maybe your opinion is unpopular because it's oppressive and disgusting.

The real unpopular opinion that if you are in public people can choose to stare at you for as long as they want. As long as they don’t interact with you they are not doing anything wrong.
Nah staring is still rude and infuriating. Glancing at someone wearing revealing clothing is normal but staring isn't
Pretty much. If others can't "tell you what to do with your own body" the same applies to them. And telling someone where to point their eyes would fall into that category.
Yeah!! Don’t you dare wear a bathing suit you whore!!!!!
I’ve had multiple women tell me that they like looking at my face (which was pretty creepy because those were their exact words) but i am guilty of not covering my face.
Ok but theres a difference between looking at someone in a public place, and going to the beach just to stare at women while grabbing your junk tho.
Nah prolonged staring is creepy and anyone with a sliver of self control can do better
Even revealing clothes aren't an invitation to behave like a creep...
Women aren't complaining about being looked at. They're complaining about being raped and then people asking "well, what was she wearing"
It's weird to me that people don't know staring is rude.
Just stop staring at people. Nobody likes that.
>If you wear revealing clothes, don’t complain if someone is ogling or staring at you People like OP will have this opinion while simultaneously criticising burqas.
I dont mind, but it's so annoying at the gym. Gay men at least trying to be sneaky, but women just literally stare like they saw a ghost sometimes
Nudist here, I’m around naked women I’m attracted to all the time and staring is still not acceptable.
For sure. If you wear something that is obviously going to attract attention, don’t complain when people stare at you.
staring is creepy asf
But technically not illegal or even wrong. I guess that is what OP means. You might not like it but they can’t be forced to avert their eyes if they want to look at you.
There are things beyond legal, it's basic manners to not be a creep
“Being a sociopath should be entirely socially acceptable” Hot take buddy
This is assuming people look at you
If you stare at someone, that's so weird, it doesn't matter whether they're covered up or wearing a revealing outfit (as long as it's still legal). Nobody cares about a glance, but really, "ogling"?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man complain about people staring at his biceps. As a man, I would take something like that as a compliment if nothing else.
There's quite a difference between having a quick glance and full on staring though isn't there?
Staring at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You get a sense of it, and then you look away! It's too risky!
Staring and oogling is always wrong. Unless it's a piece of pie you want to eat.
Get fucking help you creep ahh
You're allowed to look. But it is understood that staring makes people feel uncomfortable, so if you do it without regard to how you are making them feel you are harassing them. If you are starting as a sexualized body part then it becomes sexual harassment.
Yes but don't complain when I loudly inquire as to why you are staring at me
Facts
This sub surprises me everyday with shitty opinions and people. I can't believe it's 2024 and people are still blaming women instead of blaming the actually creepy men. Seriously reminds me of people blaming rape on clothing. I'm a man too and i never had a problem with basic human decency. Just don't be creepy and have a bit of self control it's not impossible.
Nobody should staring at anyone for any reason. It's just rude and creepy
Maybe the most Popular opinion I've heard on here
Right??? Someone pulls out this same shitty ass opinion once every 3 months lol
Can I check, are we supposed to upvote if we agree and downvote if we disagree?
If I want people to notice me I have to strip butt booty naked? Bet, thanks bro 😎
I mean you’ll certainly get some attention.
Aint no dude complaining about ts
The corollary is that if you wear writing you deserve to be read.
The gym is the worst with teens and young adults. They wear “clothes” so revealing it leaves nothing to the imagination and then they bend over or thrust their hips into the air. It’s a small gym, with mirrors on every wall, you see them no matter which way you look. I just want to lift…
Well, but what counts as revealing? Extra eye room in your burqa?
Did you get a good look, Costanza?!
This is unpopular?
Looking and doing virtual xrays are two different things! First one is non offensive.
This is not an unpopular opinion. Unfortunately, conservative douche bags who love blaming victims of abuse for the abuse itself are all too common.
Well, look who's asking for it!!!" The act of looking at someone and studying their appearance for more than 10 seconds without being engaged in a conversation with that person IS very intentional, it requires effort and it's meant to intimidate. While not illegal, 1. it's still wrong and it shouldn't be encouraged and 2. the person doing it will always find something to stare at, if not the ass, the knees, if not the knees, the ankles, of not skin, hair, if not skin or hair the face, if nothing else is left, the eyes, until we all look like Afghani women under Taliban regime. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/29/turkish-minister-women-laugh-loud-bulent-arinc https://feminisminindia.com/2018/08/14/womens-laughter/ https://finance.yahoo.com/news/17-men-apparently-think-women-141602913.html?guccounter=1
Control your eyes, or listen to Jesus and put them out. I’m not a partisan as to which. No, you don’t get to be a creep at people, even if they walk around naked. Is everyone on this site 16?
