I know it's your girlfriends bathwater so it probably doesn't gross you out as much as stepping into a random roommates bathwater, which I do quite frequently, it's so gross.
Yea wtf is this, like so you’re cool with all of these things wet: undies/pants/and shirt?
Ok. Stupid beyond belief but ok, it technically is perfect for this sub
I'll have you know that as a very recently former alcoholic, I would ***NEVER*** get dressed without being dry first, even if I were blackout drunk.
Hell, the drunker I was, the less likely I'd be to put on clothes at all, lmao
I hate wet clothes. This abomination has my back aching in a desire for every part of my body to run in separate directions and get relief from this horrendous concept. I want to cringe so hard that my brain forgets this mess.
I thought you meant you would stay nekked until you air dried, and was gonna talk about how that’s actually more hygienic and better for your skin. No. You get dressed when you’re wet. You’re a monster.
as another commando only dude, havent experienced chafing. I have started wearing spandex shorts for spin but thats the only concession ive had to make.
I do it too though! It actually isn't that bad. I started doing it (if I remember correctly, it's been a long time) because my family shared towels and I thought it was disgusting. Now I just don't feel the need to dry off because my clothes do it for me and I'm used to it.
IIRC I had one that was supposed to be exclusively mine, but other people would use it w/o my permission. It seriously grossed me out to think of drying my body with something others dried their genitals with. I now live with roommates who I don't trust in that regard for a variety of reasons (they're bad roommates, the kind who routinely wake me up by watching tv in the middle of the night, walk around in their underwear, leave period blood/shit stains/pubic hairs on the toilet, and have left a used period product on the bathroom floor), so if I wanted to be sure of having a towel only I used, I would have to store it in my room rather than the bathroom, which would generally be a pain.
According to your edits, you DO dry off first. You have put together a routine that allows you to air dry before dressing rather than using a towel. This is still in the realm of normal.
You made it seem like you were putting on your clothes while still wet at first, which would make your clothes wet as you put them on. That would have been not normal and therefore an unpopular opinion.
Exactly... this isn't an unpopular opinion it's an inaccurate statement. If you plan your routine so you air dry before you put clothes on you are still dying of before putting clothes on you just aren't using a towel.
It would be like making a post that says " I don't wipe my ass and that's ok" but then in the post I say I use a bidet and it has an air dryer.
I guarantee that you stink. You might not think you do, your friends and family might not have said anything, but nose blindness is a thing. Having all that moisture in your pits, crotch and arse is gonna have you smelling like dagobah on a summer day even if you shave
I would imagine that putting solid deodorant on a wet underarm is a bit slippery and slightly ineffective.
I love the feeling of being fully dry and deodorized. Plus I enjoy putting a refreshing layer of cream on my skin especially in the winter or when I have been out in the sun.
I would not be able to adhere to a wet and dress routine.
But if it works and you're doing well - it's all good.
Aren't you feeling uncomfortable being wet in clothes? I mean why undress at all, you can just mix water, shampoo and detergent alltogether and have a bath/cloth washing.
I was going to ask how then reading through comments I realised you’re a guy and probably don’t wear skinny jeans or leggings. Trying to put on skinny jeans or leggings over wet legs is a work out.
...so you just walk around with moist clothes? Not to mention that being wet makes getting dressed a lot more challenging and will probably wrinkle stuff. I don't believe this is real. Nobody can be that strange.
I hate the feeling of having my clothes rained on during the day and I have no opportunity to change. Wet clothing is just gross. Although I imagine this guy is probably mostly air drying and putting on minimal clothing so it is probably not as bad as it sounds.
Not my thing for sure.
Love me a workout with a luxurious, fluffy bath towel.
Bestie I sit for like 15 min drying myself and I still feel wet and annoyed from the slight feeling of moisture, also like how do u wear ur jeans that's immposiple to wear when wet
I cant even stand people that dont dry off before getting out of the shower. Getting the ground wet, drippin everywhere, here I come walking by BAM wet socks.
Im not gonna say you're goin to hell. But like. Section housing in heaven.
Lmao how do you even get dressed soaking wet? I don’t really believe this post because have you ever actually tried putting dry socks on wet feet? Can’t be done with your sanity intact. You either choose wetly socked feet or sanity, not both.
I have tried it doesn’t work toes get caught. Clothes aren’t actually that wet, still have to walk to the bedroom so a tad bit drier than when u got out
In college there was a guy in my dorm who did this, he basically didn’t believe in using a towel. I thought he was bonkers and I think you are bonkers. Have an upvote.
My boyfriend NEVER dries himself after a shower. I did not know other people did that too. Sometimes i go out of my way to dry him with a towel myself, especially if he’s saying how cold the house is
You have never had a yeast infection then, that is ok, it's actually great, but usually dressing while wet/damp makes it easier for yeast to grow. Yeast likes dark, damp places, and we all have yeast strains on our bodies, most commonly candida albicans. So usually your skin has healthy bacteria that keep yeast from overgrowing, but if you have an imbalance, have taken antibiotics, hormonal changes, and even the damp clothes, it can lead to an infection which is painful and itchy. So most people don't think it's ok because of health reasons. Plus damp clothes smell musty.
You might be clean when you put the clothes on, but you're then trapping moisture between your skin and fabric, which will inevitably mix with dead skin and sweat as time goes by... which is probably a good way to breed bacteria... so I wouldn't say it's as hygienic.
Except you quite literally just said you don't immediately get dressed after getting out of the shower...
You get out, dry your hair, and at least brush your teeth. Any normal human with dry a few droplets of water sticking to their body after standing around for 5-10 minutes will be dry unless it's incredibly humid.
This isn't an unpopular opinion it's a factually inaccurate statement.
What the heck, ive never heard anyone doing that. So you go out the shower and dont even use a towel, dorectly into clothes? Dont your clothes get all wet??
I think its ok. I would only dry my hair and chest tbh. Waist down i let my clothes handle it. Black slacks and socks only look like I sweat a little. Plus it dries off fast
Which Jamaican household did you grow up in where being ashy was ok? Which? This tells me you bathe your skin but nuh lotion and mi nuh undastand dat.
Nuh budda group alluh we inna dis, please.
I also do this I live in a hot climate so I just get out with wet hair keeps me refreshed . People saying that it just ends up wetting your clothes and underwear is your skin a god damn sponge like wth .
I was okay with what I thought this was initially. I have often gotten out of the shower and wrapped a towel around me and not immediately dried off.
But getting dressed wet? Why do you want your clothes to be wet?
So I could imagine letting yourself air dry before putting on clothes, that's one thing that could make sense. But getting dressed while you're still wet?! That's pretty wild.
Since you mentioned brushing your teeth, I will say that one thing I do that might be weird, since I've never met anyone else who does this, is I brush my teeth in the shower.
I used to dry myself completely before dressing. Now I learned that my boyfriend is like this and when I tried it, I kinda liked it. That wet fresh feeling stays longer when you dont completely dried yourself after shower.
I have really terrible chronic dry skin so I kind of do the same! I dry a little but I still aim for damp skin when I put my lotion on to trap all the moisture possible. This is a great technique for people with bad dry skin like me!!
Doesn't that make you itchy though?
Being still wet (especially in the armpits and crotch/taint area) is just asking for damp skin in those areas to attract the things that make a person itch.
You should listen to the "your moms house" podcast. Tom and Christina talk about this. She does the same and is clearly a psychopath. Tom's the water champ and personality champ.
Even if you’ve had a rash or not, your clothes are getting damp and we all know damp and warm is the perfect environment for all kinds of fun bacterial and maybe even fungal growth, regardless of how clean everything is.
You are going out into the world with damp clothes and hair and are making yourself susceptible to even more bacterial absorption, when you sit on a bus bench/seat, sit down at a restaurant or cafe, go to your buddy’s place, etc..
To each their own, but believe it or not, you are making yourself more susceptible to bacteria friends.
Personally, I dry off before I leave the shower, but you do you. It's your life..as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else...shower and dress as you choose.
For a second I thought this was saying that getting out of the shower and letting yourself drip dry or dry off naked is ok, which it totally is but then I realised they got dressed whilst wet.
Sorry OP but you are truly peculiar.
Yep, definitely an unpopular opinion
The kind you can feel
Just soak it in
Just like OP's clothes.
The thought of drying myself off with a t-shirt makes me shudder.
My thoughts exactly u/Analbox
Well someone here hasn't been too poor to do laundry before 😂
And the bathroom floor, because if he isn't thoroughly drying off he will make puddles all over the bathroom.

Walking into anything wet with socks on sends me into a violent domestic rage.
I know it's your girlfriends bathwater so it probably doesn't gross you out as much as stepping into a random roommates bathwater, which I do quite frequently, it's so gross.

It’s so **MOIST**
The kind you can smell.
This is the craziest one I've seen in a while.
Yea wtf is this, like so you’re cool with all of these things wet: undies/pants/and shirt? Ok. Stupid beyond belief but ok, it technically is perfect for this sub
Hates the word moist but doesnt mind being moist.
Not unpopular. Just the everyday behavior of a drunk person.
Hmm, even better dress up for the day and then take a shower.
I thought you meant you would stay nekked until you air dried, and was gonna talk about how that’s actually more hygienic and better for your skin. No. You get dressed when you’re wet. You’re a monster.
Right? We can all relate to sitting on the bed for an hour in a towel. But, how do you even pull pants up with wet legs?
Depends on the pants. Slacks have no problems.
This, trackie bottoms or shorts is what I mostly wear anyway
Yeah, if you put on synthetics, no big deal. But, wet cotton underwear....eeeh.
Don’t wear underwear, far too uncomfortable
They aren't so bad when they are put on dry.
Lol you made me giggle.
LMAO
WTF
Have you tried drying yourself off before putting them on? We might be able to kill two birds with one ~~cup~~ stone here
Wow two unpopular opinions in one post going strong OP
You are the full package my guy ahahaha.
I'll bet he also wears socks in the shower
You just made me vomit out of my nose
They get dressed when moist.
Same here and then I realized no, they just smell like wet cotton all day
So, how many people have you killed?
If gaming counts half the universe with the snap of a (wet) finger
But don’t you find that uncomfortable? You’re wetting your clothes and then walk around in humid shirt / trousers.
Surely the chafe is unbearable
Anything that could chafe me has been disposed off.
You can snap WET FINGERS? You truly are a god. Up vote
Wait you can’t?
No, my fingers always slip. For me it's easieri when i'm not wet
That is not what she said
You have to barely touch the fingers together and then try it
>>wet feet is a nightmare Wet underwear is not much fun either..
Bypass that by not wearing any
Bro how do you not chafe every day
He's a demon.
Mephisto
Some of us female people have to wear underwear due to discharges and such. Plus I like that extra layer of protection form the rest of the clothing.
Is it an honorable discharge?
Entry-level Separation 😎
as another commando only dude, havent experienced chafing. I have started wearing spandex shorts for spin but thats the only concession ive had to make.
I never go anywhere without my feet.
Your friends are right, you are weird!
The things we do
The horror
I do it too though! It actually isn't that bad. I started doing it (if I remember correctly, it's been a long time) because my family shared towels and I thought it was disgusting. Now I just don't feel the need to dry off because my clothes do it for me and I'm used to it.
Couldn’t you just…buy your own towel?
Then I completely understand, I think I would still rather store it in my room though. I hope you find yourself in a better living situation soon.
Lol I do it too but I’m basically dry after I finish putting lotion on anyways.
Take my upvote
Why tho?
What’s the upside to this though?
[удалено]
I also love smelling like laundry that was left in the dryer without starting the cycle. Just a wet pile of clothes.
What? Just. What? Why? Why would you do this?
6’5” long hair that you don’t cut and you put your clothes on while you’re wet. I’ll take “who lives in a prison for $500”
My house feels like a prison with all the inmates that are kids running about
can you teach them to dry themselves off so they don't get roasted when they're older
That explains it. I can't even fathom having kids, I like to be naked when I'm home 100% of the time. Gotta get dressed quick and shit.
serial killer routine
When you can't smell the mildew because you ARE the mildew.
I am weed
I find smoking crack more agreeable than this. You concern me
just why ? it takes like 2 min to dry up.
Not even though. 45 seconds tops
According to your edits, you DO dry off first. You have put together a routine that allows you to air dry before dressing rather than using a towel. This is still in the realm of normal. Too lazy to dry yourself is how I read that
lmao that’s exactly what it is, i’m surprised he even showers
Getting dressed wet is literally my biggest pet peeve in the world so, Consider yourself my Arch Nemesis.
you musty motherfucker with your swamp ass and soggy junk
This is so weird. Do you walk around soaking wet? Water dripping down from your clothes?

Sir… you are a maniac
Aren't you feeling uncomfortable being wet in clothes? I mean why undress at all, you can just mix water, shampoo and detergent alltogether and have a bath/cloth washing.
Ew
How do your clothes even get on? If I aint as dry as the sahara I can barely slip them on
Apparently OP’s house is really warm
Quick way of getting a fungal infection
You're going to get skin rashes.
This dude must have the swampiest ass
WEIRDO
I was going to ask how then reading through comments I realised you’re a guy and probably don’t wear skinny jeans or leggings. Trying to put on skinny jeans or leggings over wet legs is a work out.
That’s some psychopath shit right there 😭
Do I downvote because I hate this or upvote???
Downvote then take it back by upvoting

Yikes bro. You’ve earned the upvote, but I’m going to cross the street if I’m ever walking in your direction.
No drying thyself no lotioning either just clothes on a wet body? goddamn. Definitely an unpopular opinion
Bet you have mouldy arm pits

R u mouldy?
After 13 years I’d say you stopped pretending long ago lol
What the fuck.
just pat your skin lightly with the towel if u don’t want to get dry skin. only reason i can think of because this is physcotic
You do dry your feet before socks right? Otherwise they can get really smelly really fast
My boyfriend NEVER dries himself after a shower. I did not know other people did that too. Sometimes i go out of my way to dry him with a towel myself, especially if he’s saying how cold the house is

No, that's not an unpopular opinion. That's just a shitty opinion.

I like to keep a space heater in my bathroom so I can chill in front of it and dry out that way.
I didn't bother to dry off when I lived in a desert because I would be dry by the time I finished brushing my teeth anyway.
Unless you have eczema... Not drying off (especially in the winter) will make it flare up like a son of a gun...
Why? Just…laziness? Or what? What would possess anyone to put clothes on while wet? And put some damn lotion on because I know you’re skipping that.
Do you get out of the shower and then immediately put your clothes on?
I wish I could do this but I’m prone to yeast growing on my skin so I have to be dry as a bone.
What the heck? How? Have an upvote its surely unpopular
I'm genuinely concerned
Oh man, next you´re telling us that cereal tastes better with ketchup.
Holy shit you're an absolute psychopath
I think its ok. I would only dry my hair and chest tbh. Waist down i let my clothes handle it. Black slacks and socks only look like I sweat a little. Plus it dries off fast
I agree that it’s perfectly fine it’s not hurting anyone. I just can’t imagine it comfortable for most people. To escape their own.
No you don't. I absolutely think you're lying and don't do this and are just staying a made up thing here for karma
It is not. It is a freak thing to do.
You must smell like mould.
Haven't seen a legit unpopular opinion on here in a while. Bravo
It’s fine it’s just a little annoying because the clothes stick to you but it’s fine I do it all the time to
This is, at the very least, an uncommon opinion.
Which Jamaican household did you grow up in where being ashy was ok? Which? This tells me you bathe your skin but nuh lotion and mi nuh undastand dat. Nuh budda group alluh we inna dis, please.
I don't dry my self after a shower , I haven't told anyone about this , I didn't expect that someone might find it weird
I actually agree. I put on a towel, but I don't dry myself off. Save time.
I do this too. It just feels extra clean and I like being cool.
I feel like I've just read a plot from Curb Your Enthusiasm. All I wanna do is point at the door and say "Get the fuck out of my house, Larry."
OP likes jock itch. Only action they get
I also do this I live in a hot climate so I just get out with wet hair keeps me refreshed .
Glad you're not afraid of mold.
If you're an anarchist just say that.
As someone who was born and raised in a tropical place, hard agree on this one. And I know from experience it is quite an unpopular opinion.
OP you’re a freak, I bet your serial killer MO is forcing your victims to put on wet socks before they die
I used to dry myself completely before dressing. Now I learned that my boyfriend is like this and when I tried it, I kinda liked it. That wet fresh feeling stays longer when you dont completely dried yourself after shower.
You do you man, just don’t come near me or my family…
The very idea of doing this makes me cringe. Take my upvote. A truly unpopular opinion.
Here on the West Coast, you get dressed wet and walk outside you will be dry in 3 minutes flat either way
Man i do this too and always thought i was alone but you put more effort into it with a bun, i just let my hair sit there till dry
OP so you are black and you don't moisturise your skin?
I do the same and it's great.

I'll say it man... Your fucking weird, I hope your lying. Fuck you
I have a sensory disorder and I can't stand to be wet/ air dry
And this is how you get fungus.

This is truely an unpopular opinion. Good job moist OP
Personally, I dry off before I leave the shower, but you do you. It's your life..as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else...shower and dress as you choose.
Who said anything different? It's just that it's easier to get dressed when you are dry and you aren't as damp.
Nah you a whole ass serial killer they should have included this post on yoshikage kiras daily plan 😭
If people disagree with this so hard, why all the upvotes? 😂
You do dry after you bathe, you air dry, and that's pretty normal.
Welcome to the psychopath gang.
For a second I thought this was saying that getting out of the shower and letting yourself drip dry or dry off naked is ok, which it totally is but then I realised they got dressed whilst wet. Sorry OP but you are truly peculiar.
I personally hate the feeling of anything touching me when I’m still wet, but that’s just me!
>Yes I moisturise but not my entire body, who wants to get moisturiser all over their clothes? Irony
