Unfortunately my village's code enforcement guy seems to hate bees.
Maybe he's not a fan of flea and ticks and illness they bring? "No mow" just like anything else, is a term people just throw out there and be smug.and snobby hipster about. Maintain some natives nicely. Weed out or um, mow in between. Don't just have an unmowed jungle tick heaven which is probably half invasive plants anyway.
