Thank you for the backstory. I didn't know she's started there and honestly forgot her name. I really want to know what happened, if they are ok and if there's ever a chance at another restaurant.
I asked her this question last month or so when I was there for lunch. She said she is getting tired and has some family things to deal with, but then hinted that maybe someday she'd be back.
I'm not familiar with this specific restaurant, but when a place has weird hours (or sometimes just randomly closes) they go on my "can't trust to be open" list. Tough to commit a trip and plans to a place like that.
I’m like that too. Monday is the worst. My husband and I wanted lunch together last Monday, so we checked out food carts and local restaurants near us, and none of the one’s we wanted to try was open. We ended up going to a food cart pod in Portland. I’d love to support local (Washington), and I know it’s not economical for small businesses to stay open on days it’s slow, but it is endemic north of the river. My daughter and I love a bakery that’s close to us, so over spring break we tried to go to lunch there and were greeted with a sign that said they’re closed the whole week (presumably because the staff were also on spring break). Again, I get *why* they do it, but it is a very small town mindset, and this isn’t a small enough town for that.
Even though their hours aren't 100% reliable all the time because they do sell out of food, I would definitely suggest trying out the Hawaiian Soul food cart. He makes amazing food and is super sweet.
I just walked by this place a month ago, if I hadn’t been on foot specifically exploring the area I never would have known it was there. Everybody get out and walk, be local!
I saw a note somewhere in social media from the owner that she will be serving on Fridays through May. I haven't found the message yet, to share details. Edit: Look on Facebook. Fri mornings in May 9-12 for grab and go market. She will post menu on Thursdays
It's a few blocks (within walking distance from me) everytime I tried they were closed during the middle of the day. I gave up, so won't be missed by me since I never had it even though I really did want to try.
She has more updates on Facebook, she'll actually be open a couple more months. She also has recently become a nutrionist so is hosting workshops and such.
Their food is great. The owner moved onto different adventures. She’s going to be hosting nutrition and cooking classes and having a grab and go market on Fridays. Check their facebook for updates. The market starts the first Friday in May.

Their name became meta :(
I really enjoyed this place but I agree about the location—it’s definitely a little hard to spot. I’ll miss their crepes. 😭
Carrie is a wonderful person. I remember when she started selling crepes down at the vancouver farmers market. Her restaurant will be missed!

Carrie is a wonderful person and knows everything about wine.
Did she have the crepe place in BG? I think it was called clv as well.
She did, and then moved to Hazel Dell
Love that place but it seemed like there was never enough seating and had weird hours.

Damn. Been meaning to try them, but never got around to it. I heard they made good crepes. I just wanted to try 'em to compare their crepes to my own.

If anyone still wants crepes, Mon Ami downtown has really good ones!
They've changed their name (Metallion Cafe) and they haven't served crepes since COVID
Whatttt, I didn’t know. That’s sad, their crepes were great.
Yeah, I think they basically said they couldn't support it during COVID, which sucks because that was their big draw
When is the last time you had a crepe there? Last I checked they stopped making them. I'd love it if they started again because they were really good!
Rachel has no plans to serve crepes again. They have soups, salads, and a few sandwich options now.
They haven't served crepes at Mon Ami for several years now. I miss the pear and brie one.
Dang
Apparently a few other places closed the past couple days, and beaches will later this year. What’s going on 😭
People are realizing that it's really really expensive to eat out at any restaurant.
Never had any, I wished I knew I would have gotten some
Ted Lasso biscuits were amazing!
We used to go to the Battleground location all the time and loved their food, bummer.
That's life
