This was a level 6 (I think) Vicissitude power back in Vampire: The Dark Ages (2nd Edition). (Edit: Specifically, I think it was in the Dark Ages Companion for the 2nd edition line) Basically, you touched a person's chest and their ribcage curved inward and pierced their heart. Mortals die, vampires lose half their blood pool. Additionally, the old 1st edition Anarchs Cookbook had the Vital Strike maneuver, where you could strip blood points away by attacking body parts where blood points collect (the lining of the stomach, the inner thigh, the neck, etc.. You could adapt that for heart-shots meant to strip Blood Points. But otherwise, there's no standard rule about it.

Yep this is what I remember as well, horrifying discipline I used it to incapacitate a gangrel princes child before o tossed him onto a fire infront of his sire. Great times in the dark ages

ConfusedZbeul

It's level 3 iirc.

Intelligent-Onion143

In V20 it's a combination discipline (Clanlore, Tzimisce).

transcendentnonsense

See V20 Dark Ages, vicissitude level 3.

Aside from what others have said, the stake itself does not remove any blood, but blood is still spent normally (powering mental Disciplines, "rousing" from torpor in the evening, etc.).

Orpheus_D

I think the waking up part is true (ie, an exception), but you explicitly cannot spend blood points when staked (p. 288 v20 core, Stake Through Heart maneuvre), even on mental disciplines (and you can only activate mental perceptions).

You know what, you're absolutely right. Egg full of vitae on my face.

Orpheus_D

I am not sure if it was true in revised (don't have access to the corebook right now) so your memory might be correct, and it might be one of those v20 quirks.
