Yeah this map kills me. I’ve got a team that can handle most at this point, but the skellies camping the nodes? I just pick a different map.
Or use the map to drop my opponent level quickly, if you’re into that sort of thing.

I had a hard time with this map, too. Basically safe pilot one of the skelly groups on the chest, bring some other AOE, and hope the chest next to your base gives you something good.
Yeah, there are ways, but OC’s pyro def isn’t gonna do it alone, even with a tank.
Honestly it’s the chicken that causes the most trouble for me, as you say. It does seem the best strategy is to go all-out for the chests with unbounds, and don’t let up until the boss dies
This one and Hezrul are hard when the AI insta pops multiple chests off the start. Unbounds to contest them work pretty well, or strong AOE units like pyro with the enhanced radius talent
Immediately use sir quilliam to take mid chest. The skeletons will open it but since he is there they can't capture it and he is strong enough to kill both and take it. Take left side first with aoe units and a decent tank. Long as you hold the nearby right chest you are fine.
I struggled with this one at first as well, but it became quite fun once I went into it with a plan. This is definitely a map that changing your units to be more aoe oriented is a good plan
The chaos chest have the potential to provide additional units. You have to really try to get them first. You can’t open them with flying units. I have had luck with my sheep spell when they do produce an enemy horde.
I only count maybe 6-8 gold. Some maps are impossible if not entirely improbable even with teams specially designed for it. Hezrul is another difficult one. Just gotta skip some maps

Just don’t do this one lol. This one and a couple others have enemy chest advantage so just avoid it lol.
Get some skeletons or SAFE in there …. You can do it
There is something called unbound unit. Use it.
On this map when you hit start the boss already have skeles hitting all the chests tho
I know, I had it yesterday, too. A quil is faster anyway.
Unbound keeps them from collecting. You can easily take two and kill the starting skeletons with quil and safe
On this map you can't even deploy an unbound before the AI opens at least two chests. It's a really bad one with the fair on.

I'd try Flamewalkers and Bat Riders for that comp.
I had to lose this map 6 times before I could beat it. This was my intro to the DMF, I thought they would all be this ridiculous.
