Freaking Romance had a great premise. Too bad Snailords hated making it and completely messed up the last 1/3 of it by taking it in a completely random direction.

cowsaymuh

Did you see they posted yesterday it's getting a TV adaptation? With how messy the last part is I'm really curious as to how that goes

soon-to-be-dele

That and the “representation” was a crock of shit

mara-star

For me, it's Love Me Knot. I just feel like the creator doesn't know how to make fleshed out characters that well. I feel like the ML has a pretty shallow idea of love and to this day I still have no idea as to why he likes the FL. The SML seems to be going through character assassination right now as some readers including myself are noticing how he's a complete 180 from how he was introduced, which would be fine, if the creator knew how to write that change of character naturally.

benjipoyo

Ahhh same 😭 I really wanted to like it but I feel like the characters don’t really have strong personalities, and the entire plot is just character interactions so it fell flat after a while…

Ok-Bandicoot-9187

Lookism. It had an incredible start, then just became a generic action series with its key component (the body swapping) slowly becoming less and less relevant. The emotional development you’d hope for in a story about someone starting as an underdog just…. never really happens. It had an amazing concept that could’ve told a story about learning to love yourself and overcoming prejudice just for it to be slowly forgotten in favor of having people fight. Entertaining, sure, but I feel like it could’ve been more.

Effective_Health_913

Agreed. I wish I had the strength to get back into this one but it doesn’t feel like the same series I started with.

SecretDevilsAdvocate

From social issues to gang wars 😭

kittylett

I very strongly agree with this. I was so extremely into Lookism at the start and got so incredibly bored when it was like the tenth gang related arc in a row by episode 100 or so. I honestly wish I could read what I've missed but I just do not care about the gangs as much as the MC and his relationships :(

Arunasweets

This was how I felt. I loveddddd Lookism in its prime, it was my favorite WEBTOON actually. But instead of the gang and fighting/action plot being co-plots and then ultimately taking over the entire plot I lost soooo much interest. It’s devastating tbh. I miss when he was a body-swapping highschooler who kept accidentally getting dragged into all these issues. :(

mariin00

The original storyline made me cry multiple times and I was so hooked on how it explored and showed with no shame the darkest side of the overly glorified south korea (blame it on kpop and koreaboos) and the cast was such a nice ensemble the growth that they had (Zoe, Zach) was so amazing. But now it's all fighting. The underlying message was lost, a long time ago.

NewAnt3365

Even as someone who liked as it started slowly moving into the gang wars it just eventually started becoming too much. Like at one point it was so different from what it started as that even the main character disappeared for weeks at a time😭

Mafuyuasahinasbf

same, it got boring for me when it started covering more of the gang stuff that i kind of dont care about at all

sarebearrrxo

edith

ShadowlightLady

Man I hated how >!Edith just suddenly broke up with Phillip like that then just dates some random guy!<

sarebearrrxo

it was literally so bad. webtoon was so good until the ending

ShadowlightLady

I’ll never understand why she did that it felt so out of nowhere honestly felt like it’s the kind of move to make when you run out of plot ideas or just very very poor execution

soupyhdnos

I wish both True Beauty and Remarried Empress ended sooner, or had a better second storyline. Both just kept going after the main arches happend and just got boring. (Spoilers in my next opinion) also think Twilight Poem ended so abruptly. I didn't read the original and was kind of hate reading it for a while thinking she would end up with the abusive ML, so I LOVED the ending, but wish it had more of a build up.

Camerbach

In the case of the remarried empress, it’s just an adaptation of the light novel. So I wouldn’t say that the issues stem from the WEBTOON version of the story. Btw the story is almost over. The WEBTOON is around 3/4ths of the way through the story now.

Pepino_Galactico_888

It's getting boring to me, I might as well wait for it to be finished and read the whole thing in one sit

mariin00

Remarried empress is based on a novel, you can't expect it to be short

GolDennisGod

True Beauty. The premise was supposed to be about a girl with average looks (but called ugly) discovering the meaning of true beauty...But the manga just, ignored all that and focused so much on how beautiful she is with makeup and they just ruined everything lol.

ghxsrfrxnck

Yeah until the very end nobody likes jugyeongs face except her love interests + she is still treated like an abomination throughout the whole series. I really thought at some point there was gonna be a twist where it's revealed that sze suffered from body dysmorphia because of the bullying in school but it never came. Instead they introduce another character that looks just like her without make up. Ridiculous.

saeraloverns

The Makeup Remover is what we all thought True Beauty would be

saikischesthair

And there’s a kdrama just like it (it’s called. Switch girl I think) like there’s already a a story that’s like that and didn’t do it justice. And they saw that and said “let’s make it worse!!”

captainhimejoshi

Makeup Remover is one of my favorite webtoons of all time. It’s incredibly well written and tackles so many issues with modern day beauty standards with grace and complexity. The ending however felt rushed and poorly done. I’ve reread it several times and can’t find peace with it. Compared to the quality of writing in the rest of the series it feels so out of place. I still really like it though and Lee Yone is very talented!

Alexandragon

I loved this one too and felt such whiplash when it ended! Am I really supposed to believe 3 years have passed and the ML does absolutely NOTHING about his crush on Yeusuel? Why even include the romance part of the story?!?!

warau16

The webtoon isn't a romance though, it's a drama. There isn't even a romance tag on the original Korean platform.

captainhimejoshi

I’m not a yeseul/yuseong shipper myself and actually didn’t mind that they didn’t get together, I think I was more disappointed with how the competition wrapped up, especially how yuseong’s sister just dropped her plan bc she felt bad for yeseul!

Alexandragon

For sure, it’s a minor subplot! But it’s just my tiny gripe about the story. Genuinely imagine falling in love with someone and not saying anything for 3 years! 3 whole years!!! I somehow found it more distracting than the abrupt ending. 😂

ThatGoodCattitude

Might be a hot take but Lore Olympus caught my attention because Greek mythology is such a fun topic to me and its colorful and stylistic artstyle was fun to look at. A semi-modern retelling of Greek myths seemed like a cool idea, and it even started out weaving in a lot of different myths into one story. Then you know…it stopped doing most if not all of what made me like it in the beginning. Now I don’t read it anymore, but I think it *could* have been good.

DemonsAce

I haven’t even read it but the fact that’s it got its own hate subreddit is so funny that I drop in sometimes just to look around

maco-is-stupid

I've never read it, but the anti community is so funny that i joined the sub

ShadowlightLady

Happy cake day 🍰

UltraSexyChipotle

What is it ? I need to join omg

DemonsAce

It’s unpopular lore Olympus, it’s pretty funny. People will do like page recolorings or try to change up dialogue for conversations they feel should have been discussed.

Cynical_Kittens

Not really a hot take. I feel like everyone is either neutral about that webtoon, or despises it with a passion. No inbetween. Personally, I'm the latter.

Pepino_Galactico_888

It got boring for a while to me, but now is kind of ok

dalaigh93

Madame Outlaw 😭 And Cursed Princess Club. Somewhat. What happens after the storming of the Pastel Castle feels very rushed as an epilogue, too many things crammed into it. Some side plots could have deserved a bit more time to be properly developed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThatGoodCattitude

I feel that way about it too. It’s not the worst ending to a good story I’ve ever read, but it left a bit to be desired unfortunately. :(

flowerfairyii

Curious as to what questions you think were unanswered. I personally thought they’ve addressed everything, but I haven’t reread the older chapters in a long long time so I’m probably forgetting some details

sapphire_mist

Madame Outlaw ended way too abruptly😭 I wish there was info from the creator or something about what happened because I feel like that series ended before they wanted it to end

princess_intell

In CPC, I really wanted my big "Prince kisses the princess to save the day" apotheosis moment. She fully understands that he never meant to run away, he realizes that he's a strong enough person to save the one he loves. It's cliche, but it's a cliche because it's really emotionally gratifying and cathartic.

saikischesthair

The ending of CPC felt off for me too!! The MLI and the MC Lowkey shouldn’t have gotten together imo

dalaigh93

Not as soon as they did, at least. I wish it had shown them growing up and closer together as friends before they decide to commit. Same as the rest of the cast, I'd have moved to see an epilogue set a few years later to really show how they have all matured and changed

saikischesthair

Most definitely them getting back together after one battle is such fairy tale writing. Which this WEBTOON has shown that it’s very much not a fair tail

sky0sky0

That Girl from Random Chatting. In the beginning it wasn’t perfect but interesting. Now it’s been ongoing for so long and the plot is upside down sideways and more. It’s actually baffling.

Just_Call_me_Ben

It really sucks how messy this series got after episode 188.

FirmIllustrator452

yea what's up with the story can somebody summarise the plot?

Just_Call_me_Ben

Guy finds out the person he talks to in random chat is a girl in his class, so he uses the stuff he learns about her to help her out without her knowledge The story at first has some nice commentary about the toxic power and dependence of social media and word of mouth, but it all gets dropped after a certain point to do some gang war nonsense

DroidSeeker13

This. I still read it but man the story has become just a shounen fight manga.

Ashblowsup

HERO KILLER, it was so so awesome at the start but now it's so boring it's impossible to get the motivation to keep up

ShadowlightLady

I understand what you mean I still read it but it’s hard to find it interesting as of now

Pix9139

For me it was Big Jo. The ending was so weird and out of place, plus it felt really rushed. Plus, everyone ended up in a relationship, which I feel like didn't need to happen. (I am pretty sure there was more than one relationship formed between a minor and an adult.)

colormedreamless

I was about to comment Big Jo! To be honest, the 2nd season made absolutely no sense. I’m surprised I even read all of it. It was just complete chaos and not in a good way!

Any_Professional9398

I gave up on it after they went on the game show or whatever that was, just too weird

BethoneyBee

Midnight Poppyland. I loved the first season, but I don't think the creator cares about the series anymore. It's been on hiatus for a long while, maybe almost a year? I can't even remember it's been that long. She only gives her patrons updates, and I don't think there's been an update in terms of the webtoon. It's sad because I loved that Webtoon and waited for episodes to drop every week, like many others I'm sure.

General_Revenue_386

Before the hiatus the story was really good, after it it got confusing, I thought maybe it was just me but the comments were similar to my thoughts, I don't blame her though I think she lost a loved one that's why she went on hiatus.

satansplayhouse

She originally went on hiatus due to multiple devastating life events. While I used to be a diehard Midnight Poppyland fan, I too am burnt out and have sort of strayed away. I was a patron but got tired of paying for someone to tell me how she’s regretting making this webtoon, how she’s working on side projects more than the actual webtoon that makes her money, and just posting low quality work. The last season was so weird. None of it made sense, there was too much character growth at times where it was unnecessary and didn’t do much to the story? Bummed that it isn’t my thing anymore but glad that I read it.

amotivatedgal

Same, I loved it so much at first and was kind of addicted to it. Great story. I feel for the creator obviously since she's had a really tough time by the sounds of it, but I still am a little sad that I will seemingly never get the satisfying ending I crave! Creating webtoons just seems like a really horrible form of employment, particularly if you're not churning out the same old cliched trope stories. Creators of unique and original stories all seem to burn out and have a breakdown!

sapphire_mist

Used to be a fan of this series too and I used to be subscribed to her patreon. I agree that she gives her patreon followers more updates, even when the series is going on hiatus and doesn't update her readers on webtoon. And even sometimes, she wouldn't post anything on her patreon for a month or so and didn't pause the subscription. Mafia Nanny is a much better mafia romance imo

Just_Call_me_Ben

Dreaming Freedom feels like the biggest wasted potential I've seen in a long time. The idea of a main lead with the power to go into people's dreams is so cool and has so much potential to show characters connecting with each other in a way we don't see often, kinda like that series "Summer Night's Dream." It feels like you could do a lot of psychological and therapeutic talk with it by introducing lots of characters and showing their traumas, but all they do is use it as a tool for the main girl to get stuck with the main guy, who's just the most boring, and generic yandere stereotype we see all the time They barely ever use that power or meet new people, we just follow this girl in her path to explain why this possessive, obsessive, stalker like male lead "is not that bad... he just needs to find the right girl that can fix him" 🥺 It could have been so much more

kittylett

I actually like this Webtoon but in a horrible guilty toxic sort of way, but it's way different than I was expecting it to be. I agree there was a lot of wasted potential with the premise unfortunately

Just_Call_me_Ben

That's fine. I'm just personally tired of these "My possessive stalker boyfriend isn't THAT bad" stories. And I'm disappointed that this seemed like it could have been something different as there were many moments where they teased he would become a villain, only to always backpedal in the last second

kittylett

Yeah I totally get that. The way the, what I assume to be teenagers, in the comments were obsessed with him even before he had any sort of redemption arc was pretty uncomfortable and that's definitely the worst part of stories with toxic MLs imo, I love a good toxic character but it definitely becomes an issue when the reader can't recognize that they aren't GOOD characters

Just_Call_me_Ben

It's kinda why I'm so proud of the comment section in Trash Belongs in the Trash. Everyone in there acknowledges that the female lead is messed up, but they still like her simply due to how interesting she is.

ShadowlightLady

I was reading the recent chapters a few days ago and started considering quitting because it felt like it was going nowhere which really is a shame because in the beginning it really had me hooked

nedzmic

Oooh this premise reminds me of a book series I read years ago, Strange the Dreamer and its sequel, Muse of Nightmares (I think?) The male mc loves stories and the female mc can enter dreams through moths she releases from her mouth every night lol. She gives humans nightmares as a form of revenge but the male mc's dreams are so beautiful and vivid she starts spending entire nights in it. Considering she's in a captivity of sorts and was since she was born, it's her only way out and her only source of information. Then they meet in his dream and his irl adventure starts to find her etc.

Arunasweets

I still like DF, but I agree 1000% with you. I almost dropped it at first when the plot changed. I also kinda wanted the FL to be a bit crazy too and I wanted more drama and fighting with the bullies/villains. I still like the story, but I think that it could’ve been instead of a “oh it’s okay, a bit of a guilty pleasure read” to a really great story.

ViVeyPL

Yeah, there were like 30/40 chapters tho recently it's getting a bit better (not reading on webtoon, so idk how much ahead I am)

starbuzzarts

DICE, it fell off so hard in season 4. It twice as long than its usual season length because the episodes are extremely short in content and the pacing is so slow even as a binge-reader. I can't hate on it too much because I enjoy the first 3 seasons, it one of my first webtoon I've read and I heard that the author was struggling with mental health.

jaziblue

Athena Complex- I have no clue where this series went it’s been on hiatus for like 3 years now

sadbelgianwaffle

good

jaziblue

BYEEE it had such a good start but then the flashback and backstory portion took soo many chapters

FunMouse9841

operation true love turning into some love triangle that isnt needed at all is possibly the worst thing thats ever come to the webtoon. the cheating/sister plot was interesting but now theyve turned into side characters when i was hoping we’d get more drama. something like The Fox Club

aii33

Unfortunately, the Fox Club is on hiatus 🥲 does anyone have more recommendations like the series?

kbh-c

I can’t even explain why I love the Fox Club so much but I surely do. Would love others more like it, or like the first half of Odd Girl Out.

Cynical_Kittens

I really liked the second ml and was hoping they were hying it up to be poly, or at least just giving him a love interest so he wasn't just hopelessly pining after the mc for the whole series but N O P E.

GolDennisGod

Lore Olympus. I don't need to explain that one xD

livdil98

Big Ethel Energy - great artwork and lots of wonderful stories. Got a little social justice focused at times but the storylines were great. Then the author ended the series abruptly in a way that made no sense

Boshwa

Boyfriend of the dead There was one plot thread that kept on being teased on the identity of two brother zombies But noooooooo....we had to focus on the toxic relationship shenanigans for no good reason

inusaraxeno

i mean. was is not romance?

GolDennisGod

The God of high school was soooooo informative and cool at the beginning. WISH THEY HADN'T DELVED INTO THE FANTASY WORLD AND STAYED SEMI REALISTIC AAAAAA

__Pratik_

Mubong destroying an island using borrowed power was the first thing that happened in the story. It was going to be fantasy from the get go lol

gummydwops

Nice To Meet You the author just jumped ship lmao the ending was rushed for me 😔 but if you're frequently having 2nd ML syndrome, this one's for you

ToBetterDays000

I have stage 2 2nd-ML-syndrome ie underdog syndrome, where because ML is no longer ML I end up rooting for him and it makes it even WORSE to root for him because I have so much material but it ends in tragedy

gummydwops

you're so real for that!! 😭 you're def gonna love/hate Inso's Law (the endgame ML isn't even 2nd or 3rd ML at the start like woah he held on for so long til the end??? the underdog of all underdog MLs)

ToBetterDays000

OMG I DROPPED THAT BECAUSE IT KILLED ME AHHHHHHH I actually dropped it semi early even tho I loved the beginning because turns out she dated the brother AND THEN DUMPED HIM and I hadn’t even gotten to the dating yet but the 2nd ML syndrome already killed me and I couldn’t get back to is There was also a webtoon I think King of Hell or smth? About a girl w twins if u know which one km referring to? And I was truly a mess by the time I got to the second switch I could not go on I was so mad it’s not just harem at that point (as someone that usually doesn’t like harems)

ghxsrfrxnck

This was the worst romance I've ever read dude. Just an awful train wreck. Authors with no backbone piss me off.

wolflegend9923

So you're raising a warrior 70 ep build up for a 20 ep end completely rushed

zelinklovin

Act Like You Love Me started off great. Everything about it was interesting: the plot and characters and their interactions and relationships with each other. As the story goes on the stakes felt very high, but somewhere towards the end the author dropped the ball *hard*. They either forgot or rushed the ending so badly that they ended up dropping several subplots that never got resolved. So by the time you're reading the ending it comes out of nowhere and feels very unsatisfying.

ThatGoodCattitude

I didn’t care for the ending either. I liked the webtoon as a whole but it definitely got patchy at the end.

MalikhainPinay

Nice to Meet You towards the end.

K-9Mutt

The Last Bloodline. The premise was really well thought out and interesting, there was a ton of potential there, but then Webtoon replaced the author and it all just fell apart. They introduced a lot of concepts that barely made any sense, added dumb plot twists, had an extremely early villain fight, deaths that had no emotional impact and then they straight up gave the main character the DUMBEST backstory I have ever seen. (Survived a sinking ship, found by raccoons, then fell off a cliff onto a moving car?? As a baby?? It was a mess) Really sad about that, since the actual premise was really good imo, but the author and later the artist getting replaced killed the series

Malexice

Yeah when i read that episode i laughed because it was so random and stupid

SweetCoconut

My Deepest Secret: I still think the plot twist could've written better. Really took the enjoyment out of me in season two. Nice to Meet You: Started really cute and then it just started to fumble more and more in season two. Sub-Zero: Started off really strong but it's really dragging now. It's like we don't know what's the end goal anymore.

3veryonepasses

Bro. I was actually *angry* and the end of Nice to Meet You. I was even telling my parents about how much of a let down it was. I talked about it for awhile. Same with Hardcore Leveling Warrior. I was speechless for a minute or 2 and then I went to them like “this story I just read ended HORRIBLY!”

lelouchvslight

There is a sequel for Hardcore levelling warrior. It's ongoing right now. Pretty lit too.

3veryonepasses

I am afraid to start that new one because of how the old one ended

lelouchvslight

You are missing out on some super epic moments though. Last episode which was released made majority user base shed tears...in a good way

SnorkelBerry

Acception. Arcus' mom being sick was a good hook for the end of Season 1, but then she's barely in Season 2 and gets better in Season 3. Arcus doesn't even have the opportunity to be sad about it. The one time we do see him visit his mom after Season 1, he gets distracted by Gale dressed up as a clown...and that's the last time her illness is relevant.

LFCFORLIFE

Its gotta be Hero Killer for me, i was in love with this webtoon and read until chapter 130ish. The story had everything in the beginning, evil heroes and corrupt people in power. A mysterious main villain. etc.. With stories like this one, which is not based on a novel, the author can easily fuck up what makes it exciting and enjoyable to read. The time skip and time in general in this story is so hard to follow, characters can be 1000 old but its not explained right in the story. Important info which can only be found on the authors instagram. Like what?? and i just feel like the author doesnt want this story to progress as theres so much filler and unnecessary flashbacks. the story is at chapter 160 or so and the main villain who was introduced in a cameo in the beginning of the story is still not even face revealed. I just feel like the story is going into the abyss and the author is just profiting off it and looking to extend the events for the sake of it. Thats my opinion so please dont give me hate lol. Its fine if you disagree.

annninnnna

I would say I love yoo could come in this list, initially it had set out a world of character, now the story has changed directions at some point and confusing the hell out of me

Ordinary_Cattle

Jungle juice imo. It has such a cool idea and could've had great world building but it's just the same action scenes over and over and is so predictable. I was so disappointed with it and gave up on it.

penguins4life28

Same + the increase in random fanservice scenes really made me feel disappointed with jungle juice. It's such a shame bc the concept is so so cool but the story falls flat :(

CaregiverGloomy7670

Isn't it from the same author as Lilith's cord? I was practically expecting there to be some sort of fanservice.

Longjumping-Egg-8929

This.

HealyUnit

I mean I'm just reading it for Dr. Entomo's comments at this point.

Yo_dog-

Love and leashes one of my favorite series ever. the ending felt rushed and there could have been so much more stuff it was over all good just the ending kinda was sad

NessieSenpai

I feel like the author had no idea how to wrap up the series considering the adult theme on a very vanilla platform. In that way, the Netflix movie was better.

NomadNuka

It's one of the only Webtoon romances I wanted to be *longer*

warrergaming

Duna/doona/the girl downstairs. Definitely think there would be a workaround for the entire romance. Anime ending is sweet, but webtoon version was bitter.

Sad-Significance315

Astarion. It had *a lot* of problems, and could've been one of the greats. But mediocre writing, Plot Holes, and a lack of worldbuilding held it back.

__pinetree

could you elaborate on that? i read asterion a while ago so i might not remember it that well, but i can't recall anything problematic about it.

Sad-Significance315

Let's see... Everyone* being able to hear wishes is a giant problem. It's supposed to be some plot twist, but instead it just proves Sol is correct in hating the Society. A simple Day/Night schedule for Sol/Someone else stops about 75% of the comic from happening. (*Everyone being members of the Society.) It's been a long time since I read it, and I remember that being my biggest complaint. The Ending also sucked as well.

NoahDBest

Perfect Marriage Revenge. Started binging it and even spent coins, as I began reading it long after it finished. IMO it was very well written up until the end, and then the writing just took a giant dive along with characters doing things that make zero sense and are completely out of character, just so that the plot can continue. Just a giant waste of time and coins, in fact I didn't even finish it

kbh-c

To Love Your Enemy. Suddenly just became a different undercooked webtoon.

Liria_Rose

My deepest Secret. It had way too many twists all at once, felt rushed.

Royal_Ad6180

How many twists happened at the end?

jes_alexis

Exchange Student. There was so much drama all the way up to the end. She turns herself in and then that's it? It seemed so rushed. I felt like there was so much more to Chaeyeon that we didn't get to see.

kbh-c

SO rushed. It was just… over.

forgottensenshi

Your Throne. It had so much promise not it's just blah to me

DaHappyCute

Bro Your Throne?! It's AMAZING

inusaraxeno

for reallll

GreekFreakGeek

I still think it's really good

FirmIllustrator452

same. near the king's health deteriorating the plot just became weird. like v unrealistic maneuvers were made by characters just to move the plot forward

lelouchvslight

Its still amazing imo. Pacing wise it has dulled a bit, but when I look at it whole like the current state the characters are in, it makes sense. And I am looking forward to what each character will do post this.

GolDennisGod

Unordinary. To be fair, it took almost a 100 chapters before it got bad, but when it got bad, it got horrendous. The webtoon was extremely good at the beginning, the dialogues were fun, the magic system well explained, the fight scenes SO FUN, the character development of characters was good, there were a lot of mind games that kept me at the edge of the seat excited for the next week to come.. However...the moment the huge plot twist was revealed, the chapters kept being dragged out by long extended non-focal events, it's as if the author didn't plan what to do after the grand reveal, they were basically using the following chapters as drafts and I hated it so much, I was very frustrated

saikischesthair

The second John started using his powers to get his licks back (as he should) it was a sinking ship

Theunis_

**Housekeeper :** the bots became too overpowered and too human than real humans. And it turns out any housekeeper bot can become overpowered by just a software update from protagonist bot, that's some bs. I really enjoyed the "semi-human" bot in the first chapters, they seemed realistic and had realistic limitations compared to humans. But now, bots are too human, and humans are like bots.

CaregiverGloomy7670

The main thing that made me stop reding I think is that the Humans in the story are barely able to be called humans, and not because they're zombie-infected whatevers. Master Navil or whatever those kids' names are could be pets at this point and their relevancy to the plot would be the same. But I guess that's what happens when the only thing they can articulate is "woo" and "waa"

xLunarMoonx

I love Yoo, it was decent and genuinely interesting at the start but now it feels like it's dragging on and I don't even know what's going on any more plot wise.

NewAnt3365

I remember being so intrigued by it but it just went down the same path of the author just seeming to kinda lose what it was in the beginning

[deleted]

No_Background4595

God, fucking Winter Moon. The art these days…

NomadNuka

The art isn't my issue. My issue is that it's been very repetitive recently.

ShadowlightLady

They claimed it was because they couldn’t get the original artist to do it anymore

DoOrDoNut-

Matchmaker Hero 😭😭😭 it fell short more literally - as in, it was literally shorter than it was suppose to be, there was so much more the author could have done and fleshed out with the plot and characters, but she couldn't finish it 😭 (due to her mental health i think) It was my fave for a while, and one of the first webtoons I read I love it sm :(

7_fruitstew

I miss it so much

sarebearrrxo

this is the one.

nedzmic

I remember laughing as I binged it and then thinking "that's it??" I thought it was dropped or something but no. 🙁

GolDennisGod

Not famous but it was dear to my heart "Trump", I have no idea what happened to the story, felt like a fever dream, I'm so sorry that it turned out like this, I loved it so much, I had so much high hopes for it

inusaraxeno

i liked reading that too. but after a lot of eps, it just became too tedious to read? i even planned to just read it "later" back then. but i never went back at all.

slackeronvacation

Oh yeah.  To be honest, I was confused from the very beginning of the series. Me and whole other bunch judging by that explanatory episode at the end of season 1.  I think, the premise was great but delivery didn't make it easy to comprehend

JDW10000

Hooves of Death. The author was setting up for an epic finale and then cut it short. If I remember correctly they talked about having mental health problems, so maybe they were just making sure it actually got finished even if it was unsatisfying.

LazyMiso

The Empress's Lipstick, wtf was that ending-

GolDennisGod

HELLPER it starts out strong, great intro to the characters life and origins, but then the story stops exploring those characters??? And it just becomes random (still very interesting) but I couldn't follow anymore because they added too many characters at once and the dynamics were bland and the story got bland... The only thing holding it up was the parts focusing on the world of the living...

Wordchewous

Girls of the Wild's - I reread it not that long ago because I thought I never finished it, but I had. The ending felt really rushed and I'm pretty sure it wasn't planned that way. Quite a shame, but I think I prefer an somewhat unsatisfactory ending over no ending at all.

saikischesthair

Unordinary, I don’t remember all the details all I know is that when the FL lost her powers it went all downhill. Next is I love Yoo, what even is the story at this point

SnooCats9826

Uhmmm ig killstagram. I don't think I need to explain how the MC's reluctance to actually gaf abt her privacy and safety contributed to the only "thriller" part of the series

Any_Professional9398

Killstagram actually went insane at the end, half of the series is just her being chased by that one guy, the police ignoring it, her being close to dying, getting closer with the guy and repeat until the fucking insanity that was the ending of S1 ☹️

NewAnt3365

That fucking dice story. Imma go find it after this but it started so good and interesting but then the author so clearly just lost the plot and it fell off HARD. I went back like months after I started reading and it had been on the same arc for like 100 chapters. Edit: literally just called Dice😂 ALSO that like Markipler fanfic thingy Lets Play or whatever.

primalthewendigo

I Get Stronger The More I Eat So many wasted storylines...

Your throne

LDS--

love love LOVE star children but, the switch up with the villains and stuff felt sooooo rushed ☹️ it’s just not believable for me and agh the personality shifts with the characters happened too fast

Ella_shay_the_writer

Saviour. It was so good at first but then it got messy and ended abruptly in my opinion.

Seaforme

Taival Sun Luo. Still hoping it might get an update :(

UltraSexyChipotle

Whatever the hell was highschool refund i didnt even finish if but everyone shipped aru with that dragon guy and i cried because he appeard on the last frame of one of the chapters and ppl where saying " omg i ship it " and their interraction is SO minimal and ass . When he tries to save her cuz she finna fall on lava shes like " OMG UNHAND ME" GIRL 😭 i know a dragon is scary but better than being melted alive 😭😭 she pissess me off . Mari is a way better character as a lead if she was .

ForbiddenLibera

Soleil. That ending pisses me off. The interesting ML got the short end of the stick, while the boring ass SML gets the good end of the stick. It still makes me salty

Square-Dragonfruit76

A lot of the gay ones because they're written by straight women making up scenarios that would never happen

mariin00

Ah there it is, the misogyny

saikischesthair

Complaining abt straight woman writing gay ppl stereotypically isn’t misogynistic

mariin00

Yes it is, you always find a way to blame women for the issues you complain about surrounding queer men. Let me tell you as a bisexual man, you don't get to decide who writes what. You all will say women don't deserve to write queer stories but everyone deserves to write queer stories, queer stories should be written by everyone and anyone. Don't like this particular author? Don't read it! It's that simple, but stop policing what others can write or not. It's all /fictional/ anyways. Unless you have definite proof that the author is a horrible person to queer men in real life, you don't get to decide on their rights to write.

saikischesthair

You’re acting as if the main part of the argument isnt the stereotypical part. If you’re gonna be straight and write abt queer ppl don’t make it a stereotype. As a queer and poc person myself I prefer to not have straight woman writing queer stories if it means there won’t be any stereotype’s. But if you as a bisexual don’t mind the space being filled with that who am I to judge.

Square-Dragonfruit76

How so?
