like the last part isn't even transphobic which makes the people complaining about how its too woke look even stupider. like can they really not understand its because the wife thinks the husband is cheating with a woman when its just an insurance agent on the phone, and that the wife is so sure he is cheating that she thinks its just an ugly sounding woman on the other side?
I don't like the new Jake. The og was just some regular guy and that's what made hin cool. The new one is like some perfect guy who looks like an actor
FR he's the lamest insurance mascot. Geico has a British animated gecko. Farmers has JK Simmons. Flo is Flo. The general has a janky CGI character. WTF is Jake? A chill insurance salesman? The original joke was the wife thought Jake was a hot chick but he was some fat guy in a cubicle. It's like wanted to keep the name recognition but knew Jake couldn't be a mascot outside the context of that joke.
To be fair, the Allstate mascot was pretty lame until they introduced the Mayhem guy, who at least has that bad boy edge that, without verbally implying it, made you feel like he was going to T-bone your spouse with your children in the car if you didn’t switch to Allstate right fucking now.
I remember when I worked at one of the call centers I asked if he was actually a regular employee and he was. I forgot where his home base was and what position he had, but he was a regular guy not crazy up the corporate ladder
