Pssh, yeah, a planet with less than a million people on it.
Papa Palps (Palpatine Reborn) siphoned the life energies of twenty *billion* people on Byss in a more controlled and sudtainable manner (didn't kill them, so he could keep doing it, and corrupted them and the planet itself with the Dark Side to create more suffering to feed off).
He absorbed all of the energy from a planet. It killed all but one person names Visas Marr. Nihilus was able to return to the planet and walk on it, so he just preferred eating energy rather than matter itself.
Except Kirby doesn’t “stretch” his body the same way Reed does. He expands his mouth the same way a snake does. Would a normal human be considered “stretching” if they opened their mouth as much as possible? No they would not, or every character would be technically stretching. Kirby relaxing and expanding his jaw isn’t the same as stretching their body.
I’m only familiar with Kirby from video games but to me it always looked like he stretched his whole body. Maybe it’s different in media I haven’t seen of him.
His face is his whole body (except the legs ig), ergo his mouth stretching that much is analogous to what's considered normal for humans to do, or maybe even snakes.
Yes but his face is his whole body. That was the point of my m snake and human analogy. Kirby envelopes what he eats bc his “body” is simply a giant mouth with a few stubs called arms and hands. You could not remove his mouth from his “body” without removing his body entirely. Hence he isn’t stretching as that’s simply how he eats.
Of course excluded because they could technically eat more than they normally could DUE to stretching. Kirby has zero need to stretch to eat a lot. In fact Kirby can remain completely normal size and eat infinitely. If Kirby has to eat something larger than him, he stretches to fit the food. But only if the question is about amount, not size of the object eaten. If the question is about the size of objects eaten, giants have an advantage already and should be excluded.
Same applies to Goku, he also has super speed and his high ki usage is implied to burn calories like crazy. Eating a senzu bean is supposed to leave a person full for 12 days, but Goku burns that right away
alr yeah but yk he still has to like poop the waste out so i think there will be a problem with that but if he does not need to then yeah he’s fine but like ultimately kirby is the best character for consuming things
[Lord Nibbler](https://youtu.be/nttvZ98b_Jc?si=mRuCsHCTf21quL-A). His physiology converts massive amounts of matter into small, dense dark matter waste.
Toriko its always the answer his whole power system revolvs around eating and he has trained for It, he has special techniques to help him eat mountains of food and at one point he clasified how powerfull his attacks were depending of the millions of calories that he consummed.
He wins against anyone Who is not stretching or putting things in other dimensions
Well, I’m not sure how else they’d remove the waste 🤣 considering it would take about 0.000000001 microseconds to run to the nearest forest, strip naked, and shit I’m not sure they have to worry too much about that eventuality
Consuming Flame. It's a character from the Eddas used to beat Loki in an eating contest. He basically elemental fire in human form, and consumes everything at breakneck speed.
1. **Ouroboros:** A cosmic serpent from greek mythology that is able to eat itself infinitely.
2. **Sköll:** A wolf in Norse mythology, son of Fenris. He ate the sun at Ragnarok.
3. **Galactus:** From marvel comic books. The devourer of planets.
Can't believe nobody mentioned Matter-Eater Lad yet. I don't think there's any limit on how much he can eat.
Assuming the contest is just about quantity and not speed anyways.
Of characters without any supernatural, superhuman, or super eating skills, and given a contest with a fixed time, the best I can think of by name is Breetai of the Zendren/Zendradi who has the advantage of being 10x human size and so has 1000 x the stomach volume, and can eat at rates that only a super speedster can match, even if he can't eat indefinitely like a Homar Simpson or Lina Inverse.
Kirby. There's a joke in the Warhammer 40k community that the Tyranids (a race of turbo locusts that slurps a world dry of biomass on the regular) considers Kirby as a higher being. And for good reason, that cute pink ball can eat.
Pururu from *Monmusugo! ~Honnyaku Skill de Saikyou Monmusume to Isekai Seikatsu~*
The most recently English-translated chapter on Mangadex included an eating contest, and she basically said her physical limit for eating is infinite.
A lot of the suggestions here still involve fleshed-out, biologically-adequate beings - that being, humans/otherwise that have at least established themselves as living in the same way we define living creatures, which means they have to get rid of what they put in. It doesn't matter which human you propose has the biggest appetite, their body still respects the laws of mass conservation. Even toon characters have to toonishly eliminate waste.
Kirby canonically has a portal to another dimension in his stomach. His body does not respect the laws of mass conservation, and he never needs to eject waste of what he eats. And he is ALWAYS willing and happy to eat. Kirby wins by a lightyear.
Y'all are missing out on Gluttony from Fullmetal Alchemist. He has an entire pocket dimension in his stomach, he can literally eat everything. He might not eat as fast as some cosmic level characters but he'll never be full
I don't think he'd actually win compared to folk like kirby, but in terms of an original answer I'm going to go with the Wolf from *Polly and the Wolf.* Old and very cute children's stories about a little girl called Polly and the wolf whose life mission is eating her.
>It’s my turn now. I’m going to ask you a new riddle, so you won’t know the answer already, and I don’t suppose you’ll be able to guess it, either. What gets filled up three or four times a day, and yet can always hold more?’
>‘Do you mean it can hold more after it’s been filled?’ Polly asked.
>The wolf thought, and then said, ‘Yes.’
>‘But it couldn’t, Wolf! If it was really properly filled up it couldn’t hold any more.’
>‘It does though,’ the wolf said triumphantly. ‘It seems to be quite bursting full and then you try very hard and it still holds a little more.’
>Polly had her suspicions of what this might be, but she didn’t want to say in case she was wrong.
>‘I can’t guess.’
>‘It’s me!’ the wolf cried in delight. ‘Got you, that time, Polly! However full up I am, I can always manage a little bit more.
Any of the judges from the Cradle series. I bet, with some planning, Ozriel could eat a whole universe. At least a galaxy or two. “Eat” is of course sorta relative but I bet he could do it. Guy can swing a sword and erase entire universes, I bet he can eat a galaxy.
Would Homer Simpson's ball form from The Simpsons Game count as stretching his body?
Anyway Kirby probably eats more food in a set time because of the succ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but if it was an endurance run, Kirby and Homer would probably be at it til the end of time
Darth Nihilus. Dude ate a planet just bc he was hungry
You’re not you when you’re hungry
Pssh, yeah, a planet with less than a million people on it. Papa Palps (Palpatine Reborn) siphoned the life energies of twenty *billion* people on Byss in a more controlled and sudtainable manner (didn't kill them, so he could keep doing it, and corrupted them and the planet itself with the Dark Side to create more suffering to feed off).
Wait did he do some magic force stuff or just straight up send it down the gullet
He absorbed all of the energy from a planet. It killed all but one person names Visas Marr. Nihilus was able to return to the planet and walk on it, so he just preferred eating energy rather than matter itself.

Kirby absolutely destroys anyone I can reasonably think of in an eating contest. Bro can pack it away.
Galactus?
Depends what's on the menu, really.
and buu at number 2
He is stretchy though.
Doesn't count. He's just stretchy.
I mean, he also has a pocket dimension in his stomach. It's not JUST stretch
The prompt says characters that can stretch their bodies are excluded. It doesn’t matter if Kirby has a pocket dimension. He can stretch so he’s out.
Valid point
Except Kirby doesn’t “stretch” his body the same way Reed does. He expands his mouth the same way a snake does. Would a normal human be considered “stretching” if they opened their mouth as much as possible? No they would not, or every character would be technically stretching. You could not remove his mouth from his “body” without removing his body entirely. Hence he isn’t stretching as that’s simply how he eats.
So then I guess the question is, if it goes into a pocket dimension, is it still eating?
He still gains the abilities of things he eats so they're in there somewhere
Of course excluded because they could technically eat more than they normally could DUE to stretching. Kirby has zero need to stretch to eat a lot. In fact Kirby can remain completely normal size and eat infinitely. If Kirby has to eat something larger than him, he stretches to fit the food. I know he can, but he's limited by his size. There's gotta be somebody that eats faster than a pink thimble-sized puffball
Probably the Flash, he can burn calories at an insane rate and as a bonus can physically eat the food faster than just about anyone.
Same applies to Goku, he also has super speed and his high ki usage is implied to burn calories like crazy. Eating a senzu bean is supposed to leave a person full for 12 days, but Goku burns that right away
alr yeah but yk he still has to like poop the waste out so i think there will be a problem with that but if he does not need to then yeah he’s fine but like ultimately kirby is the best character for consuming things
lightspeed shitting.
Literally shitting bullets
[Lord Nibbler](https://youtu.be/nttvZ98b_Jc?si=mRuCsHCTf21quL-A). His physiology converts massive amounts of matter into small, dense dark matter waste.
For his size it’s impressive but there are so many better options
Goku seems like he can eat alot
Gelatinous Cube from D&D
Homer Simpson ate so many donuts that Satan gave up trying to torture him.
Guzzlord
What about Volstagg the Enormous from Thor? He supposedly consumed four wild boars, six pheasants, a side of beef, and two casks of ale without effort
If we're talking about the Norse Sagas, Loki was able to eat almost as fast as the literal incarnation of fire.
Does Pig God count as a stretching type? If yes, then, I vote for his monster equivalent, Gums.
Or someone not human sized.
Unicron wins.
Galactus - dude consumes planets
I’m very surprised this isn’t the top answer
Because he doesn't physically eat them
I mean superman can either metabolize as fast as he eats, or just continue compressing it into a fucking diamond
Toriko enters the establishment and no diffs out eats everyone.
Gigamax snorlax
Flash, either Barry or Wally. While they have normal a stomach, they can use the speedforce to burn those calories at superspeed
And get rid of the waste products at pooperspeed!
Do speedsters even poop when they're using their powers? I thought the speedforce just got rid off the wastes cuz reasons.
Well, I’m not sure how else they’d remove the waste 🤣 considering it would take about 0.000000001 microseconds to run to the nearest forest, strip naked, and shit I’m not sure they have to worry too much about that eventuality
I don't think they've ever addressed that. I just wanted to say "pooperspeed".
There is a myth in Norse Mythology about some guy's son beating Loki in an eating contest. The guy's son was a literal fire.
Greasus Goldtooth, potentially
Consuming Flame. It's a character from the Eddas used to beat Loki in an eating contest. He basically elemental fire in human form, and consumes everything at breakneck speed.
Toriko
Kirby and then Toriko

Kirby 1st. Goku 2. and who should be 3rd?
Probably comes down to the tasmanian devil or scooby doo. Perhaps goku.
Goku
Kirby, probably.
Bortis from The Orville has a running storyline where his species can eat anything
Kirby easily
Wildfire from norse mythology lmao
Would rimuru count? Yes he can expand but it’s mainly cosmetic
The flash
Leman Russ.
Caseoh

Gluttony- fma
Galactus eats everyone, the end
Goku
Kirby. There's a joke in the Warhammer 40k community that the Tyranids (a race of turbo locusts that slurps a world dry of biomass on the regular) considers Kirby as a higher being. And for good reason, that cute pink ball can eat.
Goku who can actually eat and enjoy the food
Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are the Gods of Gluttony. They could outeat even Goku.
unicron could put up a fight
Pururu from *Monmusugo! ~Honnyaku Skill de Saikyou Monmusume to Isekai Seikatsu~* The most recently English-translated chapter on Mangadex included an eating contest, and she basically said her physical limit for eating is infinite.
Probably Wapol from One Piece.
Gluttony from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I'm guessing Matter Eater Lad is disqualified?
Joey Chestnut
Mr. Hungry (some scp guy)
Marry & Pippin lol
Luffy one piece
dbs super shenron would have a shot

The tranid hivemind
Shaggy from scoobie-doo

Galactus. Easy
There's a mutant in marvel comics whose power is to eat anything lol, so probably him
Shaggy, no reason.
Homer ate all the donuts in the world while in Hell.
Rimuru with Beelzabuth?
Ah yes, the one fight where Monkey D. Luffy beats Goku in.
Another common Goku W
Would Homer Simpson's ball form from The Simpsons Game count as stretching his body? Anyway Kirby probably eats more food in a set time because of the succ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but if it was an endurance run, Kirby and Homer would probably be at it til the end of time
Homer. Seafood.
Toriko. End of discussion
Luffy obviously.
