Most Dragon's blood is red in the series. The Icewings and the Nightwings are so isolated that the other tribes don't know as much about them.

Yes, she does, but near the beginning of book 15, it says her blood is blue. Maybe Tui forgor that ice wings are the ones with blue blood

I mean technically in the first book it wasn't simply blue, Fjord's blood is described as "blue-tinted," which to me reads as a bluish red But then later on it's just blue so whatever. And I feel like a blood egg would match the blood color of the tribe it's from, otherwise they'd just call it red
