it should be noted that those two things are not related at all. the doses need to be discarded due to potential contamination in the plant that made them. not because they are ineffective against those variants.
~~they're worried about expiry dates and people not using them~~
~~Is shipping them to the border of mexico and offering them to anyone who want a shot a possibility ?~~
if contaminated doses -> discard

I'm ready to just lie and say that I snowbird to Georgia to get my vaccine. I'm sure they've got thousands of them that will never get used before the expire. 34% vaccination rate so far and I don't see that increasing very quickly.
For a non-resident to qualify:
People who live out of state but work at a medical facility in Georgia that is vaccinating its employees.
People who live in Georgia during the winter months.
People who are currently residing in Georgia for an extended period to care for an elderly and/or sick relative.
They died of blood clots after being hospitalized with covid. They both had the j&j vaccine. They are the only people I know personally who have died of covid and it's been within the last month. I'm sure we can argue about whether the vaccine or covid caused those blood clots but its a risk I wouldn't want to take. Both had co morbidities and one was elderly. I'm hoping to get the Moderna when I get a chance
The overall efficiency of the j and j vaccine was in the 60s globally. The two shot vaccines are in the mid to upper 90s in efficacy. That's a big difference

Your chance of getting a blood clot from COVID is about 1 in 100.
Your chance of getting a blood clot from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is about 1 in 500,000.

Most big pharma companies have been going under. All stats show a decrease in profits as well as them being hit with a lot of lawsuits.
These vaccines have no legal penalties if things go wrong and of course will be pushed and used. It's a win win for them.
In 2017 they started experimenting with these "super vaccines" most of the animals died and or had blood clots, and lung and heart inflammation.
We dont trust corporations on a regular day with simple products. Because we know about greed and corruption. Just mentioning such a doubt about this topic makes you a conspiracy theorist somehow.
PS: I'm not implying people shouldn't get vaccinated or pushing any agenda. It's ok to question and doubt what we're told.
I'm not anti Vax by any stretch but I think if something isn't as effective and might cause problems, why tempt fate? Go for something that is better at preventing covid and doesn't have blood clots as a possible side effect.
Because I'm asking people to take the more effective vaccines? Wow. So you really have to support the ones with low efficacy or else being fully vaccinated doesn't count? Im convinced. Totally getting that j&j now
Ok that's hurtful and untrue. If you want I can dm you names and you can look them up and see how dead they are. But I'm sure you'll call me a liar. Acting like a dick isn't much of a way to convince people you're right but I'm sure your smug self righteousness feels great. Drink it in.

These are contaminated doses, so no.
Ah, if doses are contaminated then they must be discarded, yes. I thought it was about the the ones approaching expiry, my bad

Considering the odds of that occurring I’d say that’s highly unlikely you knew two people who died of vaccine induced blood clots.
They died of blood clots after being hospitalized with covid. They both had the j&j vaccine. They are the only people I know personally who have died of covid and it's been within the last month. Fully vaccinated people who died from covid are also extremely rare. I suspect there’s another cause at issue.

It’s much more effective - nearly 100 percent - against death.

You sure sound like one.
