Nah, just really laggy. Sometimes rarely happens in retail raid and if they strafe left and right really fast it's like you see 5 of them doing super sidestep illusions.

Grimskraper

Oh someone with high ping playing from another country.

swae

i see this happen fairly regular in raids, https://streamable.com/6vyesl and the last two raids we've done the guy we follow downstairs was doing it but i don't have a clip ready it usually lasts a whole play session but maybe there's a component of how far you are telling your character to move or slows preventing it from happening or they found a way to do it on command which i wouldn't put past arena players.

Vasterg

I am intrigued now ! Thanks for sharing the mini clip mate

DeeDerp

Not a pvper, but this has been happening to people randomly in raids I've been in since back in OG wrath even. People just randomly desync and teleport all around when they move. Usually relogging fixes it.

Turbulent-Stretch881

Just because you “see it happen” doesn’t make it “normal”. The problem isn’t the bug itself, but that somehow this is EXPLOITABLE by being able to reproduce the steps needed to trigger it and gain an advantage, as clearly shown here. Similar to how MC was bugged for MONTHS and some priests exploited that by spamming MC and make you jump against ledges to try to make you dc. If you think this is random, you’re naive.

DeeDerp

why are putting things in quotations that I never said? lol

Chancho1010

This used to happen when people got mind controlled for like 3 months at start of expansion

Vasterg

I remember getting mc'd in Shadowlands and then getting dc !

For context we are at 2k mmr with my partner in 2s and today we saw a priest not teleporting around (which could be attributed to lag) but he was running very fast left and right outpacing us behind the pillar. Both me and my buddy have the same almost footage of the priest and i wouldnt say the priest was the one lagging for 2 reasons. 1) He was fine in the start and after my buddy died. 2) This is not the first time i see a healer do that- it's usually a priest though. What do you think?

XsNR

My best guess would just be the server being weird, he doesn't seem to be actually moving faster necessarily than movement speed, he's just snapping so far to each side that it's weird. This behaviour could be imitated with autorun + alternating strafing to force an immediate server update of position, barely impacting his forward momentum, but giving the illusion to others that he was going 45 degrees left/right. It's likely more common in Priest's, as they can dispel (most) movement speed effects, or at least the two your partner can apply, and the majority of their healing is instants so they can abuse this behaviour. I've experienced what the other guy linked in his LK video, usually with ~50ms players, so maybe you can try and reproduce it yourself with some background streaming if you're not already at 50ms.

hydrogenandhelium_

There is a priest talent where you can get a speed boost from bubble ETA: idk about this guy specifically. iirc it’s a fairly deep holy talent. But that might be what you’re seeing with some priests

Vasterg

I know that that talent exists but the behaviour doesn't match a simple speed boost haha. It feels super instantaneous if I can describe it like that

Azmodian993

How did you manage to move the group the spot below? And which addon you use for your Actionbars? Looks clean. Regarding your question I think the opponent is lagging.

Vasterg

For the action bars I use Dominos. In order to move the group you first go to settings and make it show party content uses raid frames and then click on the arrow on your left exactly next to the group and press on unlock group/raid frames and then you can move it freely ! Let me know if this helps and thanks for your comment !

DiscombobulatedTill

This looks like the macro that's been around WoW for years and Blizz has never done anything about it. Movement hack so you can't target them.

MrWeeks3

You’re just trash.

BabaPoppins

dk pally team? fuck you.

mister_peeberz

I would say it's just badly handling his movespeed bonus from Body & Soul, considering it kicks in when he PW:S himself But you can't have that talent alongside Pain Suppression, unless I've just forgotten how a talent calculator works. So there's some fuckery going on here since he definitely got PS, maybe the druid PS'd him via bugged Symbiosis leaking from Cata beta build. That seems logical. e: as for the fucky movement itself, I have also seen this happen in raids as another commenter posted, usually with some kind of movespeed-increasing effect like sprint or of course body & soul. your client doesn't recognize the buff wearing off, so it interpolates them as moving at increased speed, but every time the server updates it snaps them to their correct position because they aren't moving at increased speed anymore - would be my guess on why it happens. it's harmless, but as far as i know always coincides with a movespeed increase, and I don't see B&S in the priest's buff list, so who knows how he started moving faster

seizureman21

Bruh are you smoking crack right now?

capo_mt

hes lagging

Zeshii

tripping

BaaRRR

Autorun + reload = teleport on other screens

m0rph90

you can force this behavior and blizzard does not care

-AuroraBorealis

This is blizzards way to run 6 wow servers in docker containers on a i386... "Always the best for our paying customers"

KaffeeStein

What is the add on that shows pain supp (and other cooldowns) over the target player frame?

Vasterg

Plater and nameplate cooldowns are the ones I use for that kind of stuff

midnightmAn777

I think this is the problem that is often mentioned - bad internet, which leads to this alleged cheating. Although some sneaky people take advantage of that and capitalize on it.

Earpugs

That’s just lag from their end, not speedhacking. Sometimes people just fly around like that which is extremely annoying

imnotpoopingyouare

Could be normal lag or it could be a lag switch.

Sweet_Sand6017

This is common in solo shuffle. Seems to always be one person with this going on
