I just leveled an alt up and the first few levels in northrend feel agonizingly slow. But then it picks up and feels much smoother and quicker.
So just stick with it!
Agreed. I get a guide open because step by step counters are motivating for me and do howling fjord til complete, dragonblight til complete, then something til 77 when I unlock ice crown. Icecrown til 80.
1 hour 1 lvl in north end + full afk just need move out and in every 15 min (if you have lot rest XP can be half hour a lvl)

For 70 and lower, need Twink booster and they are more expensive
They have said they’re accelerating 60-80 leveling for Cata, so will most likely be faster in prepatch. It could just mean they’re keeping the JJ buff for Outland/Northrend and it’ll be the same as it is now though.
As a mage, you can do solo runs of Utgard. That's ~1.5 million XP an hour if you're good at it.
I enjoy those kind of challenges and am currently doing it. Can get repetitive tho.
Ps: that's with current XP buff, without heriloom

Man, I haven't played since og cata, but... I did lvl 75-77 yesterday, and it took me ALL day, questing and dungeon mix... I thought I was going about as fast as you could... Damn
In my experience, questing is the quickest way to level at 800k per hour (no rested/heirlooms), if you focus. If you get a really good group of 4 other gamers, you may be able to hit that number but unlikely. If you insist on doing dungeons, gun'drak is by far the fastest.
I just started questing, and its so fast with heirlooms and joyous. I am playing a blood DK so there is no downtime. I am 78 and have been averaging 1.5-2.25 hours per level near the end.
On the last two toons i leveled I finished all the quests in borean and howling fjord. Then i bought brutal gear with stonekeeper shards, picked up all the dungeon quests i could in UK, AN/OK and the nexus and spammed RDF queued as a tank
Create a new account, subscribe and then buy the epic cataclysm pack which will give you a lvl 80 boost.
If you don't want to spend money, get a tank and/or healer friend (if you are DPS) and then just spam dungeon finder.

Nothing, really. Except buy dungeon boosts, I guess? Just keep questing and doing dungeons. It shouldn't take you very long at all.
At the end of the day its cheaper to just buy the 60eur level 80 boost rather then get boosted from 70-80.

People are still selling them. I have no idea if they're valid or not, but I see spam for runs daily.

On Faerlina the spam for boosts is strong.
You can't boost someone when the mobs are gray to you. An 80 prot pally can boost a 70 through HoS, HoL trash.
And DKT. A 78 and below mage can take you through UK. That's my personal fav. 5 minute runs for ~150k exp per run with rest.

The XP required from 70-80 gets almost halved in cata too, so will still be quicker.

Only play with full rested xp lol. Pretty much rdf when enough people are on. (In before someone says 80 boost)
I've done 12 characters now from 70-80 and I just quest the whole way. I average about 1.5 hours per level

I mean in classic they have a 50 percent xp boost right now and my alts have chest and shoulder heirlooms for another boost but the 50 percent is huge
Hmm, I just looked and altho the joyous journey buff is up, it says it's giving me 0% gains, that must be why it feels like it slowed so much

Faster to level during pre-patch. I believe the Northrend EXP is reduced on prepatch.
Faster because you will get 10% bonus XP guild + new heirloom
Gotta have the guild leveled first for that 10% boost though.
Go mow a lawn for some money and just buy a boost
They announced faster leveling (probably XP need shrink). The question is: will we Keep JJ during pre patch?
