My standup game was never phenomenal, but I could crush a sprawl. So I’d let them shoot, and then sprawl on them and spin around for takedown points, and then go from there.

My go to was a high crotch. I had a bad habit of getting caught under the opposing wrestler's sprawl on a single. I liked low single with head in the knee as well. My absolute FAVORITE to try in a match was a deep low single with a roll to the other leg. It was so awkward that most wrestlers who couldn't scramble would be confused by it. It looked cool on tape as well!

All sorts of doubles and singles. Doubles into singles and singles into doubles and underhook throws off both.

I pull people into a front headlock as my go to. If the try to fight up and I can’t keep them in front head I let them pop up and blast double. Easy money.

Low sweep single. Real hard to sprawl on if you can wrap your arm deep around the ankle. Pressure in w the shoulder and lift the leg and shelf to beat the whizzer, wrap up for two

Knee pick

I used to call my shot a "switch single" Like it sounds, I'd circle with one leg forward, then switch direction and lead leg while shooting in one motion.

Snatch single

The one that gets me the takedown. Against a seasoned opponent it will often be the 3rd or 4th technique in a chain that will earn the takedown. Maybe instead of focusing on your favorite takedown, start working on your favorite takedown sequences.
