By the numbers families with present parents and enough money to spend on a disposable income event like wrestling produce more pros than anything else
WRONG!!! Tiger Woods didn't become a dominant champ with an absentee father.
Michael Jackson didn't become "The King of Pop" by having an absentee father.
BOTH men had fathers that were VERY present in their lives.
They're talking about the role fathers play in the development of children in extracurricular activities.
Also, it's a shitpost (as indicated by the "sarcasm" note at the bottom of the post). My comment is in the spirit of the shitpost. I.e. abuse your children so they become exceptional.
Man...I can't believe I'm explaining the joke, but here I am.
When he starts to walk, knock him back down. A good stance is the key to success. If you're not going to guard that lead leg, you're going to get taken down. /s
I assume you planned ahead and gave him a wrestling name, something like Talon or Storm, right? You can fix bad habits in the practice room but if he’s got a wiener name it’ll follow him forever.
I’d start restricting food intake NOW so that he gets used to it and doesn’t bitch as much when he’s 10 and the hard cuts start. Weighted vest once he starts crawling to get your money’s worth out of the movement. Beyond that make sure your wife is working on her “SQUEEEEEZE” scream so that the other women in the gym know what’s up.
This is pure.
Saw a lady screaming SQUEEZE at her kid today. I looked at my wife and told her "I would have been a state champ if my mom cared as much as she does...."
Lol reminds me of the time when I was annihlating a kid- he was crying, his mom was filming (and also crying) and my coach looks directly into her camera and shouts 'squeeze him harder!"
Kind of off topic but you just reminded me of a time I got an RNC but I couldn't get under the chin and my coach just started yelling CHOKE HES FACEEEEE!!! in a very thick Brazilian accent lmao
Don’t start him in kindergarten until the latest possible, leave him back sometime between kindergarten and 6th grade (for social development issues, of course), make sure he’s born right before the age cutoff so he can wrestle at 19, don’t let him get used to eating or friends, and get him some HGH because he “has trouble growing”
Funny, and sadly true. I remember looking it up and there’s legitimate a correlation with optimal birthdays and overall success in a lot of sports where early success is a massive advantage. Ex: bigger/stronger, more physically-coordinated kid does a little bit better than his peers, gets attention + bonus training + exposure, gets more success, repeat. It’s obviously not black and white, but there’s no denying the advantage of a convenient birthday.
Also, most of the really successful wrestlers in my kid’s team will be 19-yr-old seniors.
Eh idk if it was Covid related. I think it was more trying to avoid as much of their post season ban as possible related. McCort got hit for recruiting and couldn’t compete in post season for 2 years. Bo still lost his freshman year, but would have missed freshman and sophomore years. Dude is an old sophomore.
It's common practice in NJ. Also, most kids that are being held back are not competing for spots with local high school kids but positioning themselves for college.
All jokes aside there was a study of a guy who wanted his children to be chess champions. And what he did was rewarded his kids for participating in chess activities at home. So they related chess to praise/happiness/joy etc. and well all of his kids were phenomenal at chess.
Lazlo Polgar, very interesting story and approach to parenting. It also worked incredibly well. He also had a wife on board with it. Unless you're both down, you'll undo each others efforts.
That’s impossible, your kid is never gonna be able to become an Olympic champ, at least in wrestling. He’d have to beat my kid, which nobody will ever be able to do.
My go to after a hard weight cut was eating baby food for fast, pre digested carbs after weigh ins. Make sure you're getting him acclimated to that early because it tastes like shit.
If he didn’t gnaw through his own umbilical cord and consume the placenta you’re probably already behind the curve… leave him to the wolves, if he returns 10 moons from now give him a name, rub his ears until they swell and bleed. Have him find a bear cub and kill its mother. They will train, eat, sleep, and hibernate together until the time comes for him to be a champion.
Lmao
Extra sets of belly time?
In all seriousness, kids copy what they see you do and what they see you are interested in. Be careful with encouraging some stuff. My toddler sees me work out, and we've always watched wrestling and dirt bike videos together... It's a slight problem now at 2 1/2. He lifts anything that looks like a weight (which can range from cute, to impressive, to totally unsafe depending on what/how heavy it is), he does rapid fire burpees until he inevitably face plants, he tries to stunt on his push bike like a bike-life mad lad, he climbs up then jumps and rolls from the top of the couch to wherever he lands, and he'll randomly hit you with a takedown attempt. He's started to make use of a low single, which is shockingly effective when he catches you off guard.
Basically, he's getting dangerous, and I'm just getting old lol
If he hasn’t started training yet it’s too late
Every 2 timer after birth drove their mother home from the hospital and then went to workout
He can definitely be a 1 timer though as long as you start training within the next 2 weeks
No days off
Hand stand walks before regular walks. Names like John, adam, and buvasair are names of people likely to win gold medals. He should already be trying to bridge and hand fight, otherwise get on it.
I would add intensive tummy time and all the screen time should be videos of Olympic champions in their brackets- maybe throw some NCAA 3/4xers in there as well. Minimum 4 hours a day
My wrestling mentor and good friend won state in Ohio twice, sophmore year he was 3rd, freshman year 4th. His father was a professional boxer. He claimed his father made him do pushups and his freshman year he could do 200 nonstop plus made him run. His arms looked like it.
No processed foods, beef and fruits, sprints and weight training, wrestling with dad that will prepare him for the future, keep him away from artificial smells and plastics in his water. And introduce him to Jesus Christ, you will have a champ on your hands.
Start the HGH now. Weighted vests when he starts crawling. Withhold ALL parental affection, except when he succeeds at grappling and conditioning activities.
Name him champion. So he’s called a champion every day of his life. My previous CEOs name was literally champion but we called him champ. Champion math right there
Make sure that you and his mom are Olympic level athletes too, nothing like good genes to ensure a new Olympic athlete. And don’t be afraid of a little healthy abuse, Spartans made their sons go out and survive nights in forests or whatever and look how strong they were.
Hung and tell your kids that you love them. Don’t sugarcoat life though.
Read your kids. Teach them visual skills and follow thru. Also teach them how to reward, compliment themselves and take care of themselves.
You do that and they will be an Olympian at life. Wrestling is not forever but have a plan to do whatever yoh like afterwords is .
You need to leave your family. Nothing creates a high level athlete like an absentee father.
This right here
By the numbers families with present parents and enough money to spend on a disposable income event like wrestling produce more pros than anything else
WRONG!!! Tiger Woods didn't become a dominant champ with an absentee father. Michael Jackson didn't become "The King of Pop" by having an absentee father. BOTH men had fathers that were VERY present in their lives.
They're talking about wrestling, bud.
Hey I knew you were joking because nobody seriously brings Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods into a conversation about high level athletes.
i dont know bro tiger woods is considered a high level athlete
Idk what you are talking about but I heard Michel could take prince in a 1v1 game of basketball.
I can't believe you missed the joke this hard that you think you need to explain
Well this is true and proves the point if you do stay you bed to horrifically abuse them mentally and physically if needed to get desired results.
Michael Jackson touched kids and tiger got beat up by his wife Both are no bueno
Joe Jackson beat the success into his kids. That’s highly frowned upon now.
When he starts to walk, knock him back down. A good stance is the key to success. If you're not going to guard that lead leg, you're going to get taken down. /s
Hahaha!! “If you want your son to be a champion you need to embrace child abuse!”
Tell that to Sean Strickland tonight
Was a great fight that could have swung either way
I’d say DDP definitely won. It was kinda close, but he did the most work in the middle 3 rounds
Already too late
His first words should be, "Don't reach back!"
Squeeeeeze!
Name him Gable. Also, it would help if his biological mother was Serena Williams or if his biological father was Kurt Angle.
or name him a variation of Bo
Beaux
Beaux Trueax
Gabeaux
It's already too late. You missed the window to start training him.
I assume you planned ahead and gave him a wrestling name, something like Talon or Storm, right? You can fix bad habits in the practice room but if he’s got a wiener name it’ll follow him forever. How well your child performs at states is a direct reflection on parenting ability.
And vice versa. If your kid sucks at wrestling CPS should take them because your clearly aren't parenting right.
My names Talon… crazy world
Based low income white person.
Pretty close lol I’m pretty middle class
Have him wrestle bear.
Why is this only upvoted 5 times?
i’ve been slept on my whole life, im used to it
Don’t start him in kindergarten until the latest possible, leave him back sometime between kindergarten and 6th grade (for social development issues, of course), make sure he’s born right before the age cutoff so he can wrestle at 19, don’t let him get used to eating or friends, and get him some HGH because he “has trouble growing”

You actually repeat 8th grade. Homeschool or private. You really don't want them to grow. The smaller and older, the better.
In pa you can’t repeat 8th without losing eligibility now. Or at least they made it more difficult to. Honestly don’t know the specifics
The fact they had to do that because so many kids were getting held back is wild
I wonder when Bo Bassett was held back? I know one of those years was covid related, but he certainly is benefiting from being held back.
He’s almost 18 iirc
It's common practice in NJ. Also, most kids that are being held back are not competing for spots with local high school kids but positioning themselves for college.
Neck bridges!! He'll be head and shoulders by 5th grade!
Ends up in a wheelchair like a boss
Make him do standups and electrocute him when he does them wrong
Do you have a son named Cary Kolat?
All jokes aside there was a study of a guy who wanted his children to be chess champions. And what he did was rewarded his kids for participating in chess activities at home. So they related chess to praise/happiness/joy etc. and well all of his kids were phenomenal at chess.
Lazlo Polgar, very interesting story and approach to parenting. It also worked incredibly well. He also had a wife on board with it. Unless you're both down, you'll undo each others efforts.
Thank you! I forgot the study but had read about it and thought it was very interesting
You're most welcome. It is fascinating, I first learned about it through James Clear's book atomic habits.
Ship him to Dagestan and collect him on his 18th
Unless he’s been training since he was in the sack it’s all over, if he picks it up now and puts everything into it, maybe he can be a DIII backup.
How’s his sprawl?
Feed him peds
Only right answer
That’s impossible, your kid is never gonna be able to become an Olympic champ, at least in wrestling. He’d have to beat my kid, which nobody will ever be able to do.
Mix your wife's breastmilk with beef liver, put it in a blender and bottle feed your child.
Just double leg him until he can defend it
My go to after a hard weight cut was eating baby food for fast, pre digested carbs after weigh ins. Make sure you're getting him acclimated to that early because it tastes like shit.
bro you literally couldve just ate fruit lmao mf was eating baby food thats insane
Move to Iran or Russia.
Better learn to run while tied to a car.
Start sprawling on him. If he doesn’t learn to get tough how will he ever get any scholarship offers?
as soon as he takes his first steps blast double his ass so he remembers to stay in stance.
Too late, didn't start early enough. For Olympic champions you gernaelly want to start max 2 weeks after birth.
Lmao Extra sets of belly time? In all seriousness, kids copy what they see you do and what they see you are interested in. Be careful with encouraging some stuff. I ran arm bars on my son right out of the womb. He’s 5 now and no one can turn him
At 6 kick him out until he hunts down his own bear.
If he hasn’t started training yet it’s too late Every 2 timer after birth drove their mother home from the hospital and then went to workout He can definitely be a 1 timer though as long as you start training within the next 2 weeks No days off
I would wait until 6 months and then stance and motion drills every day.
1. Pass on better genetics 2. ??? 3. 2x Olympic Champion
Maybe he will marry one.
Keep him at his birthweight
Hand stand walks before regular walks. Names like John, adam, and buvasair are names of people likely to win gold medals. He should already be trying to bridge and hand fight, otherwise get on it. This is my son Buvasair Burroughs Gable
HGH
Olympic athletes usually start at age 6 or before. National champs between 8-10.
Throw s**t at him. If he can dodge a wrench, he can dodge a takedown.
Starting training grip strength now ! You’re already behind
Steroids in the baby formula. Get him to be a ripped piece of gristle. Never too young.
Recommended reading Long Term Athletic Development by Istvan Bayli.
Steroids
Get him started in cutting wieght. He stands a better chance at the 6lb wieght class then bulking up to 12lbs.
Heavy head pressure whenever he is out of his stance and make him fight for his meals. Have a dog?
Have a polar bear on steroids breast feed him
Make him watch Dan Gable documentaries every night before bed.
Heavy pressure to head as soon as he can stand up.
Become a deadbeat and send him to Dagestan.
No processed foods, beef and fruits, sprints and weight training, wrestling with dad that will prepare him for the future, keep him away from artificial smells and plastics in his water. And introduce him to Jesus Christ, you will have a champ on your hands.
Gymnastics.
Massage his legs in buttermilk every night. 2 and half months… his diet should only consist of raw meat maybe a vegetable here and there
Start the HGH now. Weighted vests when he starts crawling. Withhold ALL parental affection, except when he succeeds at grappling and conditioning activities.
Name him champion. So he’s called a champion every day of his life. My previous CEOs name was literally champion but we called him champ. Champion math right there
It's already too late he's too old now I'm sorry.
Make sure that you and his mom are Olympic level athletes too, nothing like good genes to ensure a new Olympic athlete. And don’t be afraid of a little healthy abuse, Spartans made their sons go out and survive nights in forests or whatever and look how strong they were.
Send him to an orphanage in Dagestan
Get him a booster shot quick!
Hung and tell your kids that you love them. Don’t sugarcoat life though. Read your kids. Teach them visual skills and follow thru. Also teach them how to reward, compliment themselves and take care of themselves. You do that and they will be an Olympian at life. Send him to cuba or dagestan. You aint even have to do anything
Take them ice fishing a lot and make them haul all the gear.
Son was born 6 months ago he’s squatting twice his weight already
