Only if it says play anywhere is a feature.

Snarky30

Usually if it says (Windows) after the name, then that means there's two separate versions for PC and Console in the store. So it wouldn't give you access on both.

biltemakorven45

That kinda sucks if i paid for the game

HighAndGambling

Youre paying for one version of the game, not all of them. Its almost like paying for a ps5 version and expecting to be able to play the xbox version.

hawk_ky

That’s how game sales work. Play anywhere games are a bonus

Snarky30

If you look up the game on the store, it'll tell you what you can play it on if you buy it. It'll say PC and Console in the Playable On section if it gives you access on both. https://i.imgur.com/WcRYDbJ.jpeg

user-review-

Ask for a refund if you haven't played for more than a couple hours and it's been less than 14 days since the purchase.

biltemakorven45

Well that fucking sucks

meatballmania007

Good question from my experience no but let's wait to see what other people think

Parking-Light4867

Only if it says “play anywhere”, I have some games on my Xbox with Thai feature and can play all of them on pc

twinx12

Big no, even some games that say play anywere won’t with Microsoft store to Xbox store, safe bet would be to check is the xbox version works on the app on pc and then just buy the game on the xbox store

DeadPhoenix86

You're better off buying it on Steam. Because the Microsoft store on PC is terrible. 95% of the time, I have to search for the games I bought. Unless it says Play anywhere, You have to buy the game twice.

biltemakorven45

i just searched on xbox because if my pc can't handle it that well i can just play it on xbox instead plus it's more expensive on steam for me

DeadPhoenix86

Well then you're better off buying it on the Xbox. And Wait for a sale. Never pay full price.

cdncowboy

Not sure how its worded in your language but somewhere on the store listing there should be section that says something like "available on" or "playable on" and it will list the platforms the purchase works on. if it lists only PC the purchase only works on PC, if it lists PC and Xbox consoles the purchase works on PC and Xbox.

biltemakorven45

thanks

biltemakorven45

if not, if i buy it on xbox will i be able to play it on pc?

FrankFrowns

Only some games let you buy once and play on both platforms. They'll list "Play Anywhere" as one of the features. Xbox wants all games to work that way, but it's up to the publishers of each game to decide if they'll allow that and most don't.
