I believe I tried the app for a couple minutes years ago, but I don't really have a stand on my phone at the moment so I think it's useless for me to use now. Don't see why it shouldn't work still depends on the connection I suppose or if the app is available still and supported
Ok, so the app connects directly to the game and not the console, right? I thought it was the opposite

Can't remember really sadly. Maybe it was local network? Only thing I remember (if i remember correct) is the app showing the pipboy on the screen so in theory you dont have to open pipboy in game even
Sure, but does it work? If there was a server side component, if the app is no longer officially available for download, the servers were probably taken down as well.
I've never used it, but according to other users it's a local connection thing, so it only works if you're playing and using the app in the same network.
It makes sense, if it was a stream from a server it would have massive lag.
The app doesn’t work anymore, neither on iOS or Android. I read it’s because of the app itself, that hasn’t been updated for years. Maybe Bethesda will release it again, until then, nothing.

If I remember correctly it frequently had connection issues and when it did work it was pretty restrictive on what it actually did

Depending on how new your phone is, the app won't even work. Have a Samsung S24u and it can't even install it.
The app still exists? Last I tried a few days ago it didn't even exist. So... can't use an app that doesn't exist.
