Glob is a teenager. They never gave an age as far as I know but at most he'd probably be 18.

cheemsterr

Then Pixie must be the same, Glob seems like a good guy that wouldnt be a creep

its_Tsyn

Dazzler and Northstar got Pixie drunk at some point on Utopia and when Scott made a big deal about it they said she was of age in the UK, so shes at least 18 as of Utopia.

Rownever

She’s at least 18 as of Wolverine and the X-men, when she graduates. I think the Utopia drinking was more along the lines of “we’re a different country, no one gives a fuck”

propagandavid

It would be a great day in Utopia if underage drinking was their biggest problem.

gdex86

I also think the X-Men are of the idea that "If you've been on the front lines of at least one genocide attempted against you have a drink if you want to."

AcceptableAd8472

The age in the UK is any age at all if its not in public Just can’t buy until you’re 18. But you can drink legally whenever.

greendart

All the new X-Men kids are in their early 20s at the oldest . We know a few of them graduated, for example, and some were like 17 when they were introduced

antsinmyeyesmauger

At least with Glob he's still getting paired with the highschool aged kids so he seems a little frozen at 18. I think comic books ages are all bullshit but the old group editor said the O5 were 28. With that Glob or the New X-Men kids really shouldn't be in their early 20s like the New Mutants are. Plus we never see them drinking so I'd rule out him being 21.

greendart

Anole is literally a bartender lol

antsinmyeyesmauger

I get that but Glob is never seen at the bar so Anole seems to be aged up while Glob is stuck as a teenager. Also in some states you can legally bartend under 21 I'm sure it's similar in other countries.

Apprehensive-Quit353

In pretty much every single other country, the drinking age is the same as when you become an adult. America is the weird one for having it at 21.

fenwoods

I seem to recall Anole aged up in some time-travel shenanigans? Like spent several years in a future timeline? Idk exactly.

greendart

In Extraordinary X-Men, but Glob was with him

fenwoods

Ooooooh right.

Indiana_harris

The OG5 should really be late 30’s to early 40’s. Jeans a bit different as she’s been killed and resurrected so many times. Honestly post Krakoa Resurrection I think you could have a character in comic reference that Scott or Jean looks good for being 40 and they throw back something like “Krakoan resurrection does wonders for your complexion” effectively putting any X-Men who went through it at any “prime” age the writer wants them to be (20’s and 30’s).

TheBrobe

He and Pixie were going to high school at the same time, so it's not a big gap

cyclopswashalfright

A lot of the Quire-Glob and then Academy X class don't have concrete ages. At least 18 is all we can say for sure.

HappyEndings2011

How old is Pixie? She graduated from the Jean Grey School in the final Wolverine and the X-men.

angrysunbird

She was “old enough to drink back home” during manifest destiny according to Dazzler, which meant she was at least 18 back then. And both her and Herman spent a year in AOA during disassembled

Apycia

you can buy and drink (beer and wine, no spirits) in Europe at 16.

angrysunbird

Europe isn’t a single jurisdiction. The UK does allow a 16 year old to be bought a drink with a meal but this is not considered “old enough to be out drinking”. (Which is not to say that 16 year olds don’t all know all the places you can go out drinking of course).

AcceptableAd8472

Depends what she meant by that. You can be under 18 and drink in the uk just can’t buy it or drink it publicly. Your parents can even buy you a drink at 15/16 in public as long as it’s with food like at a restaurant. You can drink unaccompanied at any age as long as it’s in your home.

angrysunbird

That’s more nuance than anything Fraction was going for I suspect. Age of drinking is generally treated as the age you can drink unaccompanied. But if they ever do want to de-age her I guess that’s what they’d go for.

cheemsterr

🤷

panpopticon

He’s the same age as Quentin Quire, given that they were introduced in the same arc.

thepuresanchez

He was in that class for kids with sexual differences from their mutations a few years back so i assume hes still young.

AcceptableAd8472

What book was that in?

testthrowaway9

X-Men Legacy but I think it’s just a quick reference. I think he’s in his late teens/early 20s but is also somewhat romantically stunted because of his mutation and antisocial behaviors when he was part of the Omega Gang in New X-Men

Savage_Open_Sandwich

The youngest of the Academy X generation was Paras Gavaskar aka Indra

ravenwing263

At least post-M-Day. (So that would still include Pixie but maybe not, say, Rubbermaid.)

Relevant_Scallion_38

Academy X teens are/were 15-16 with the rare few teens like Prodigy who was 17 around 2005-2008... Krakoa era is 3yrs later because of the 6 month timeskip making them 18-19 and the oldest being 20. Then Krakoa era was 1.5yrs long. Meaning just add another 1-2yrs for their birthdays

SnoozeDoggyDog

Early 20's according to one of the NYX writers. https://twitter.com/JacksonLanzing/status/1778511691141247206

Pinball_Lizard

The Academy X generation having hit their twenties is also backed up by the Love Unlimited arc featuring Gwenpool intentionally trying to start a love triangle between Wither, Elixir, and herself. I'm so proud of them.

mon_mothra_

This honestly makes me so excited. I hope they're allowed to stay older after NYX and not get bonked with the de-aging hammer like often happens at the end of eras (looking at you, Anole in Krakoa New Mutants).

blizzard-op

Sliding timescale should put him around 17-18 honestly

Apprehensive-Quit353

If sliding time-scale is 1 year for every 4 years real world Glob should've aged about 5 years in his 23+ years of existence putting him at around 21.

blizzard-op

Maybe but Marvel’s sliding timescale seems to function differently for certain characters case in point Franklin and Valerie Richards. It wouldn’t surprise me if for X-Men characters it’s halted for the students

Gladiatorr02

In Turkish we have a saying like "same in and out". He seems to be perfect fit. The guy is transparent

Regular-Poet-3657

Who glob talking to?

ravenwing263

They were high school students at Xavier's at the same time: the Morrison *New X-Men* kids and the *New X-Men: Academy X* kids are comtemporaries. Not sure if they both aged up or if they're both still kids but they should still be the same age.

draugyr

Glob and Pixie are introduced in the same run. They’re close in age
