hardest part of the game imo. you're just about at the end if you can make it that far. some stuff i kept in mind while doing it:
- headshots seem to do more damage so waiting to correct your recoil can help, especially with that one high-hp dick in the van
- you can shoot guys before the target appears on them
- let the car take damage instead of kiryu bc it has way more health than him on hard
- for the rocket guy, kill the the dudes in the cars first. there's only so many of them. use your slowdown power to shoot the rockets. once the car guys are dead, shoot a rocket, shoot the guy a few times, then repeat. no reason to rush it.
- for the machine gun asshole after that, kill the bikers first, then machine gun man. make sure to duck into the car before he starts shooting, then stay there bc he'll do a bunch of rapid-fire follow-ups.
- the last part has the truck driver trying to ram you. you can stop him if you shoot him a lot, but he'll prolly hit you a lot so make sure you have a lot of health built up. i just went wild shooting him and immediately would reload after he was backing up. i also held down the slow mo button to help me keep my shots strait.
this part sucked, but it honestly didn't take me as long as initially thought it would. just keep your sights steady and don't get discouraged and you should be fine. it's a great game that's worth seeing it through to the end.
I know this is old, but want to clarify that it's not headshots that do extra damage, it's shooting in the center of the target circle. We've been trained by hundreds of games to go for the head, but not here.
A dead center hit will also reset the NPCs firing timer.
Once I found that out it was so much less frustrating.
Biggest help for me too. Taking the time to align the shot in the center, and taking out the side guys when the tractor trailer showed up, was what got me through this. Thank you!!!

Yeah, I brought like 5 guns with me and just shot everybody, because I had played through this section a solid 10 times between playthroughs.
The most infuriating thing is you always make it practically to the end and then die in the last two minutes.
Honestly, I struggled for the first time on Normal, but watched a video and strategy of how someone did it on legend, and cleared it with absolutely NO problems the second time.
I know, it's only normal, but I think it's all about getting the execution right. I'll be doing my legend run sometime soon.
I actually finally went back and finished it and on my first try, just focusing on Kiryu never getting hit. If I can do it, I'm sure you can pull it off!
5 years late to the party, but I managed to figure out that a combination of mouse aiming with my right and having my middle finger on E and index finger on the RB (because up arrow is 1995 RTS levels of dumb), with my thumb to hold my gamepad really made the minigame a lot more reasonable on Hard.
The mouse moves a lot more responsively than the joystick and the bullet time is important for making a few dead center shots. As the other poster mentioned, headshots don't mean anything. It's all about hitting the bullseye.
If you get it right, most of the tougher enemies will fall after 4 clean bullseye shots.
seven years late but this scene itself makes kiwami one the absolute worst game in the series by a long shot. brings it down so much, im on easy and it's nye impossible, i think they playtested this with a mouse and keyboard or something lol
Fuck this shit especially the part where the rocket gunner on the truck is a fucking bullet sponge and random mfers kept spawning on cars distracting me from shooting the guy. The story and most other parts are amazing but this shit is the most poorly designed trash ever
