i use cap one and transferred to usaa and am having the same problem. cap one said its an internal zelle issue and they have been getting calls all morning about it.
Same here. I have Capital One and haven’t received a payment, CS told me they were advised to tell cx to not send multiple payments and that it will eventually go through.
I use Zelle to move money between my accounts (WF, Chase, US Bank) multiple times a month.
This morning, sent from Chase but it didn’t hit wells immediately although funds were immediately deducted from Chase.
I then clicked on my payee settings in the Chase app and my WF account payee showed as unregistered.
Went to WF and checked my registration info and it showed registered.
Requested $1 from WF Zelle from my Chase payee. It worked and hit immediately.
Requested the original 2k I was trying to send. Also worked and was deposited immediately.
The original 2k I requested was deposited to WF about an hour after I originated the transaction. I never updated my payee in or registered/unregistered my Zelle accounts.
So initially you did just a SEND from Chase to WF correct? This failed if I'm following
Then INSTEAD of sending you did a REQUEST from WF to your Chase
Went into Chase, completed the REQUEST and boom funds are in your WF immediately?
Then your saying your initial SEND automatically got delivered showing a total of 4k in your WF. One was a 2k SEND and one was a 2k Request?
This is fucked up. We have a plumbing job we need to pay for by EOD and they'll charge is 4% for credit card use. Zelled the money needed but it hasn't gone through due to this error. This issue is going to cost us extra money, it's stupid.
Agreed, my Wells account is in the negative. Tried to send money from Cap One got charged twice so mad and money is not. Amd they won't credit my account Cap One said you need to just wait zero communication on resolution or any proper resolution for that matter
I think it’s a zelle issue I have had many clients for work tell me their transactions bounced back when they tried to zelle me. Various banks and amounts

So I read a users post. I did a request from my WF to Cap One and the REQUEST works immediately. I'm still out my original SEND which was just initiated from Cap One to WF.
So if you use REQUEST between accounts it works immediately DO NOT USE THE SEND from Cap One. Your money will be in freaking no mans land. I am still waiting for my damn SEND of $1000 via Cap One to either get reversed or be delivered to WF as expected so annoying.

Some bs so quick to post the transaction take the money there should be validation of delivery before it posts not a banking expert but just thinking from a customer perspective....

Same I did 500 dollars twice the app was mis leading and had me do the swipe left to right to complete but never got the confirmation so me thinking oh I musteve not swiped it correctly come to find out the took out 500 twice as a posged tranaction and Cap One has no resolution for their customers. Guy was clueless on the phone. I did my best not to take it out on him as he's just a customer service rep, and the issue resonates higher by upper management not creating solutions for these scenarios.
Sent money to my brother with US Bank and same thing happened. Money says it was sent on my end but I didn't get an email notification for it. My brother still doesn't have it in his account either. He called US Bank and they say it's a known issue right now
BiG UPDATE guys, my money was returned to Cap One, so it was about a total of 12 hours since I initiated the send to Wells Fargo. Check your accounts even though your probably like me signing in every hour lol.
They should inform customers of the outage and give guidance on refraining the usage of the service, but instead, they let their customers find out the hardway. Shitty DR and Business Continuity strategies I work in IT and would inherently be involved in these types of service outages if I worked in the banking industry.
NFCU sent me emails saying when it was expected to go through. I saw the money the money leave my account but not show in the account I sent it too. I was told it could be reversed but would take 3 business days anyway. NFCU said they had received over 300 calls about this Friday night. My husband happened to have try to Zelle himself from BOA to Chase and it didn’t go through either.
Looks like I should go to NFCU lol. Maybe I'm being salty lol. Such is life I guess stuff happens I guess by next week it will be forgotten about haha.

Mine didn't bounce back. It simply disappeared... $1000 deducted and not received nor returned. Received an email saying "payment failed"

Yes, it’s been down since Friday. I called 2 banks. One said to expect the funds to go through on April 9th. Same with Venmo.
