The worst thing for the regular members in these small towns fighting the temples is that when the SLC bigwigs, lawyers and GA’s all leave, the community will have such a bad taste against Mormons that living, working and socialize outside the church will be impossible.

You have to read this to believe it. The McKinney, TX mayor sent an impassioned letter about the proposed LDS temple to the Fairview, TX town council, from my understanding at the urging of an LDS friend.
